After my ex wife left me I met my current fiancé the next day! Obviously we didn't get together for a while (well over a year), but the attraction was immediate. We left it so long as we were both recently single and didn't want to be rebounds.

Quiver is a personal favourite of mine. As is Rise and Fall.
-
Holy shit, the Captain America twist came out of nowhere.
Â
Â
Hail Hydra
Â
Â
Marvel are saying its the real Steve Rogers, no kind of impersonator. No idea how this is going to be explained.
-
Yeah I loved that one too. TBH pretty much anything he has written I've enjoyed. Except Echo Boy.
-
The Humans by Matt Haig, incredible book.
-
Since meeting my partner a couple of years back I have had a fair few great holidays, I'd always recommend Stalis in Crete - great food, great weather, amazing people and very little trouble. Next year we're off there again in July and to Cape Verde in January. If all goes to plan in 2017 we're off to the Maldives so we can hopefully see the sea of stars.

Just got a promotion at work, so Im going to take advantage of it and get Graham Cole to pose for a picture with a fork.
-
I loved Cowboy, but Jim Dale always made me laugh. Plus I had a massive crush on Angela Douglas when I was a young un.
-
I loved Screaming, its between that and Camping for me easily.
-
It'll be shit, though. It'll be aimed at teenagers and it'll be shit. But it won't matter, because it'll last one season, if that, then get cancelled and forgotten.

Atleast we can laugh at fan boys demanding Joker, Bane, random villain show up. Even if Wayne is 5.
Â

Brendon Burns and Colt Cabana Sit in a Fifty-Seater Around Midnight and Provide the Commentary to Bad Wrestling MatchesOnly in Edinburgh baby! The world's number one indie wrestler meets the world's number eight cult comedian. We could declare it an unforgettable evening, but let's face it, this is really only going to appeal to a very select few of you. If you like wrestling and/or either one of these guys, you probably can't believe this is happening! ...If not? You honestly might want to go elsewhere. Adults only! Special guest comics and wrestlers! Bring your own matches!Â
Â
Aaand tickets bought. XD

He claims to have been seiously misquoted, but that article got him loads of applicants.

Just started watching Pramface. Its not overly funny, but I cant help enjoying it. The characters are just endearing enough to be likeable without being sickly.
-
Amazingly enough the American government actually did do it in the past.

Here's a new show to look out for. It starts tonight (March 1st) on NBC.
Â
Â
The pilot's up on Hulu already, and it's getting some extraordinary buzz. Unanimously, people are saying it's the greatest pilot for years, and everyone seems blown away by it. It's been pushed back a bunch of times already, because NBC didn't know how to market it, but the feedback from the first episode has got me really excited.
Â
Â
This is brilliant! I just watched the pilot and loved it.
-
Has it failed? Serious question.

Does anybody know what the pay was like for this stuff in Japan in its FMW heyday? Does Foley mention what he got paid for doing that stuff? The crowds they got were pretty fantastic so I would imagine the payouts would have reflected that to a certain extent.
Â
IIRC, Foley was quite critical (and rightly so) of his payday for the King of the Deathmatch tournament in 1995. In that one night, he wrestled three matches in which he was thrown into barbed wire, blown up and had thumbtacks embedded into his face and neck. He was paid either $300 or $500 (I forget which) for all that.
Â
That was just one night though. I'd imagine his payoff's for FMW were a lot better than that.
$300 for KOTDM tournament according to Have a nice day (Plus a can of coke as a bonus)
Â
I thought he said in the book that the money never turned up. My memory is shot to hell.

I watch a lot of stuff online as it means I can wear my headphones as not to disturb my wife when shes ill, and I dont (yet) have a Netflix account. And that Youtube one was easy enough to find, watch and link people to.

Just watched the version of Brimstone and Treacle with Sting (singer, not wrestler) as I want to direct the stage version next year. Pfff, bloody hell, forgot how good a film it is.
-
My list, not that anyone cares.
Â
Â
Best
Â
1) Its a Wonderful Life: cracking film, the ultimate feel good movie.
Â
2) Duck Soup: The Marx Brothers at the top of their game and as funny now as it was back then.
Â
3) 12 Angry Men: one of the most entertaining films in which nothing actually happens.
Â
4) Terminator: Amazing, Arnie was more than perfect for this role.
Â
5) Predator: Not just a great sci fi film but a great film in general. The pacing and characterizations are spot on.
Â
6) Airplane: Surely not? Dont call me Shirley.
Â
7) High Plains Drifter: Eastwood at his best, cold, chilling and yet charismatic. No matter what he does thats wrong he's still in the right.
Â
8) Labrynth: Bowies best peformance ever.
Â
9) Fight Club: I still love this film, Brad Pitt is cracking.
Â
10) Rocky Horror Picture Show... yeah? And?
Â
Â
Â
Â
Worst:
Â
1) Cabin Fever: seriously, fuck off.
Â
2) Catwoman: tested even my ability to watch TV.
Â
3) Battlefield Earth: Scientology The Movie. Just as bollocks as the religion.
Â
4) I Am Omega: Terrible, terrible rip off of I Am Legend/The Omega Man, just bad in every way.
-
Yeah it promised more than it delivered. Shame we wont get to see if they could improve it in a sequal, but it lost far too much money.
