I don’t think it’s so much of a discussion as it is serval people taking it in turns to explain why you are wrong

Everyone is innocent unless proven guilty.

Eli is dead and can't even defend himself.

It's quite worrying that so little is regulated in indy wrestling. It's not transparent and therefor kids should stay away.

It's also worrying that twitter posts can ruin peoples lives and careers without a fair trial.

Google indexes everything. Employers always do a google search on your name and will read all the dirt even if it eventually turns out be false accusations. The accused have families aswell.

  2. Are Wrestling schools regulated in the sense, that trainers and promoters, have a valid "certificate of good conduct"?

What if an underage person gets seriously injured during a wrestling match, will the promoter be insured?

Do parents need to legally sign of on their underage kids to participate in a wrestling match?

We often hear about wrestlers "stiffing" and "shooting" during matches unnoticed to fans.. How is the pro wrestling business classified as a "safe working environments" for kids to participate in?

As a father of two young kids, I am truly interested in these answers.

LWOLen having a bit of a nightmare here.

Yes I am. It doesn't pay to be the Devil's Advocate. I'll take it.
I'm glad this got some discussion going.

But still...There are kids aged 13 wrestling and getting thrown on their necks in front of paying customers!? How is this even Legal?

  4. No. She is definately a victim. However Her father should have never allowed his daughter to be in the business so young. It's dangerous.
That was the point. I have two daughters of my own.

But you have to understand that every post is indexed in Google until eternity. BGUM and SB are mentioned by their real life names and they and their families are forever damaged by a topic like this. Ever considered the option that they might be innocent?

I am a pro wrestling fan. This a pro wrestling forum. This is not a sexual predator court with twitter posts serving as validated evidence.

This discussion does not belong here.

  5. @MarkusnOobes.

Wow. Let's hang everyone who once said something stupid on social media!
It's a stupid joke by SB. I hear 100x times worse whenever I watch a stand-up comedy show on Netflix.

Go watch some Eddy Murphy, Russell Peters and call the Pope and the Police for all the afwullness.

Don't be such a hypocrite. You are now looking for validation to point fingers. The accused will never post their side of the story here.

This thread is a pretentious, onesided mess which is simply looking to damage other people.

I would suggest for the UKFF to close this mess before it turns even more ugly and damaging.

  6. Independant Pro Wrestling is an unregulated market.

There are many cases of grown men slamming underage kids on their heads with referees in the ring who have never followed any emergency service course. Many people are unqualified. No background checks are done and every help is welcomed by promoters. It is therefor simply a dangerous place for underage kids to be around.

If you like wrestling and have kids, just go visit and enjoy the shows. Take pictures, have fun but never allow your underage kids to become more active in it than this.

Promoters should never allow underage people to be in that ring, training or backstage i.m.o. Period. You have limited life experience at 16-17 and your brains and body are far from being fully developed.

When it comes to the BGUM accusations:
Maybe he simply thought/was told she was 18 and liked her. Why is she in the business so young??

In any scenario, MrWilliams has exposed his daughter to lots of potential dangers. Why would you knowingly enroll your 16-17 year old daughter to a dangerous world (in-ring and backstage) filled with testosterone and hormones!?

Don't get me wrong here, B-GUM has some issues if he knowingly sends dick pics to a 16-17 year old. However, don't be so easy to dismiss and Judge him.

Well, as good as the Youtube vids were, what the fuck was THAT. I know he aint no spring chicken Tim Storm but he looked 15 years older than he bloody is, that finish looked like 2 6 year olds playing WWEon the bed.

One big anti-climax indeed. You can see Storm scream 'F'ck' 8 times afterwards knowing he messed it up. I guess he should have told Aldis to kick out and redo a different finish so they could have edited this sequence all out.

Austin Aries in a suit as the NWA World Champion?

Billy Corgan's been making some short films promoting the NWA.

Really enjoyed the series. Well produced. Corgan is atleast trying. They made me care for the match. I have now subscribed to the channel.

Tim Storm vs Aldis for the "Ten pounds of gold".

  9. Jericho showing the WWE locker room that there is more than just WWE. It's magic to have more leverage than your employer relating to your pricetag.

Guys like Brock and Reigns are laughing also. They can easily brag up their pricetag now claiming they could do a "Jericho" to and wrestle for New Japan.

    I love it.

  10. I was just watching Nxt. Seeing Big Damo from Sanity followed by the Heavy Machinery match gave me this eerie deja vu feeling of WCW Saturday Night.

Interesting promo by Black after the sparring. Last weeks angle was great with Velveteen as iT made me feel truly uncomfortable.

Ohno match was fun. Aichner could be the next Cesaro type worker.

My first time seeing O'Reilly too... all I could think of was it felt like a pasty Canadian bloke playing Low Ki on a tribute show.

    You just blew my mind.

Loving the Aleister 'shoot fight' kinda exhibition matches. Makes pro wrestling look like a true sport again.

Using wrestlers real names just makes you sound silly, that you did makes me assume you don't like Reigns and still really think cena sucks

    No.

Before posting I just did a random google search for Jason Jordan. Simply used his real name to maké my point about him not making me believe his words. Lets not drag it. I am rooting for Jason Jordan to prove me wrong.

Sj2255' comment about the Maivia style push sounds interesting.

  13. Nathan Everhart has a hard time playing a dude on TV called Jason Jordan.

Jason Jordan is completely lost on playing Jason Angle.

The result is extremely awkward. That MizTv segment completely exposed it. I don't believe a word "Jason Angle" says.

Hoping for the best but failing so far. He's a great atlete though.

  14. Damnit. My saturday night just got ruined by a 1992 talkshow about an alleged´WWF peadophile scandal´.......

I was watching a a small interview with Dave Meltzer on YouTube and after that, it automatically skipped to the next one: a talkshow with Meltzer, Vince McMahon, Billy Graham, Bruno Sammartino and some people claiming they were fired because they did not want to sleep with Pat Patterson. Sammartino even blatantly claimed the `ring boys` were handpicked by Patterson for certain reasons. And his claims were backed up by Billy Graham. WTF

Next to the Chris Benoit murders, this has to be the weirdest WWE scandals of all time and of their biggest covers ups because I never knew it was such a big story back in the day. I knew of the steroid scandal, but this was all new to me.

Very bizar story.  Patterson was ofcourse never convicted and still works there today.

    FFS. Night ruined.

  15. Really enjoyed the show. Completely forgot about the world when watching it on demand. Respect for the wrestlers and a big thank you to RPW's crew.

To me, Vader absolutely proved his point in his match with Ospreay about psychology.

This was a masterclass. Ring psychology beats 1700 flips any day of the week in my book. Vader called it all and the crowd went nuts.

Seriously, this was a brilliant match while Vader is morbidly obese and could barely walk. RPW got their money's worth. Anyone who dares to say RPW can't book is a complete madman in my mind. They turned this into gold.

    Short rundown:

    • Jay White was really good. Great talent. He is going to be a big star. The false finish in this match was actually done really good. Bodom won so many matches in York Hall with the Bliss Driver. I truly believed he would win again so it had me on the edge of my seat,
    • Marty Scurll is insane for taking that top-rope piledriver. Chris Hero looks like shit, but wrestles like a star. He amazes me every time. The contrast.
    • Zack Sabre Jr vs Cobb had some great psychology. Cobb was using all his strength but could not keep Sabre down. After 15 min he was all tired and Sabre came in like a shark smelling blood. Great stuff.
    • RPW's camera crew needs some help. The hard cam is often blurry and they are way to busy with zooming in and out during the matches. It gives the viewer a very unresty feeling. THis has been going on for a few shows now. Please take note.
  16. Seriously guys, Ospreay is a fucking star. WIn or lose.

His starpower does not diminish because he "lost" in York Hall to Vader. To me RPW is finally adding a new layer to the Ospreay character.

They work together with NJPW, where Vader is a bonafide legend and former World Heavyweight Champion.

You don't have Ric Flair lose to Marty Scurll or Sting to Zack Sabre Jr. It's a respect thing.

I find it extremely classy and respectfull that Vader sort of went over. RPW had guys like Bret Hart, Sting, Bagwell, Liger, AJ Styles and Kurt Angle over. Everyone left with their starpower in tact. They all got home feeling respected by the company,

Legends want to come to RPW because they know they are treated first class. They are not brought over to do jobs for the local guys, have a paycheck and go home.

This is probably an important factor why RPW is able to get so many legends on their show. I won't be surprised if legends actually ENJOY working for a company like RPW instead of just doing it for another paycheck.

Don't be a child and suddenly go like "RPW booking sucks" just because of a finish. Typical "Smarky Wrestling Bubble" reactions. Think about the big picture that is being painted.

This is not UFC. This is showbusiness.

RPW is writing an interesting story. Great stuff.
