I was also disappointed with the heists. Not with them themselves as they were a lot of fun, but I was expecting more of them. I didn't see the point of the whole "improve your crew" when there weren't many chances to really do so.

I finished the story mode part of the game last night. Bit of a flat ending I thought, both the final 2 missions were pretty easy really.

The other thing that happened to me that I find quite interesting/strange is when my grandfather died. I had just moved to the US at the time, and my grandfather was in the later stages of cancer. I knew he was in bad shape and was expected to die shortly. However, one night I woke up at 3:30 in the morning and felt a general sense of unease, like something was wrong. I immediately thought of my grandfather. I couldn't get back to sleep either. Quite unlike me as I am a heavy sleeper.

My Mum phoned me around 10am. I knew it was her as soon as the phone rang, and I knew what she was going to tell me. Sure enough she let me knew that my grandfather had died. The odd thing about this though, she said he died at 8:30am UK time. Boston is 5 hours behind....which would be 3:30am.

The weirdest thing to happen to me was when I was about 12. Was hanging out with my friend and we went to his house. As we walked in he yells out "ANYONE HERE???" and I felt like I heard this voice, kind of a weak older female voice, say from upstairs "yes, up here". The strange thing being, we knew his mum wasn't in. She was at work, no doubt about that and she was the only female that lived there anyway.

I looked at him and he had a similar "what was that" look on his face. We both ran out of the house at the same time. After we stopped running I jokingly said "why did you run?" and he went "Because of that voice that said 'yes up here'".

The only other thing of note is that my mum used to live on the same street and often said a lot of people had ghostly experiences around that street.

That was a brilliant read. I had only ever seen the Randi video on youtube so reading the rest of it was fantastic. Take a bow Millard.

Yeah GTA is about the only game that warrants its own thread though. This does not grant free reign for people to create threads for some shitty game they like.

Random question: anyone find they aren't buying weapons and, in particular, armour at all?

In all the GTA's I cannot think of one where I did not buy massive amounts of armour. I guess with the ability to just restart the mission the need to do the, admittedly, annoying run to ammu-nation prior is gone.

I find parachuting works best by just bombing down either in free fall or with the chute open to your target and then slowing up right before landing. To me its much harder to be circling around trying to hit a spot.

I haven't been playing much recently due to not being around for a week and then having my mum visit for a week. I get the feeling I am close to the end of the storyline though. So far this game is great, there are some minor annoyances about it though - I still find most of the cut-scenes to be far too long.

I wish they'd kept the race feature from the Lost & Damned in that you could knock people off. However, I'm finding the races in general to be absurdly easy.

Just playing a strangers and freaks mission with Franklin, starts off with this very funny Lassie-esque bit with a Labrador, and then you meet Jeff and Dom. Jeff and Dom like doing silly shit.

 

And then you have to partake in the one thing we were all worried about and have had nightmares about.

Did that last night and it took several tries before finishing.

All my trades seem to be off by an order of magnitude in the game. Says I'm making like 300,000 on a stock when in fact I'm making 30,000 for example.

Yes it is. Having been flying around at the time it's also terrifying.

I tend to dislike any bloke who says a lot during the scene to be honest. Keep it quiet mate, I ain't watching to hear you am I?

He is indeed. A couple of the first scenes he directed were himself with Kirsten Price (his mrs), Jessica Jaymes (her mate), Breanne Benson and Kortney Kane, and Kortney's first anal. What a bloke. He's definitely got first dibs on Brett Rossi and Emily Addison if they ever shoot boy/girl for Brazzers too.

I cannot stand him in scenes either. Him doing Kortney Kane up the shitter was a real crushing blow for me, he's also done Rachel Roxxx up the shitter too! (she seems very coked out these days)

I currently dislike Franklin the most. Mainly because of those boring tow truck jobs but also because he's black.
