I don't know enough about the whole thing to comment on it, but a common tactic used to discredit an accuser is to pick out a flaw in an account, no matter how small, and use it to discredit the whole testimony by making out they're untrustworthy.

I'd say the new stadium is the desire to grow and use that and the added revenue to get improvements.  Yeah it's very Arsenal so the fruit will be ripe in about 10 years.

I'm a massive fan of Prince, I'd say he had the best run of albums by an artist there has ever been (1999 to Lovesexy), but if someone doesn't like him then they don't like him, fair enough.  It doesn't affect my love and enjoyment of his music.

Is there a way to stop individuals sending you a PM without blocking them?  I keep getting them from a poster asking why I've been locking and removing their threads and bullying them, I'm not exactly Bowled over by them.

As were all the great musical works throughout history.  They weren't made by industry bigwigs or marketing divisions with a team of songwriters and producers behind them though, it was the individual.  Although saying that, looking at some of the britches and pantaloons Cosimo De Medici had on in paintings, they were so high up they were very Cowell-esque.  If the pants fit and all that.

Up - Thought it was lovely and very emotional in places, that scene where it plays out the old boys life with his wife conveyed so much without dialogue, masterfully told.

Yeah, we'll agree to disagree. I find cookie cutter stuff like Blockbuster films interchangeable and bereft of artistic merit.  That isn't to say I don't enjoy them or think they're totally needed, but this is the film for snobs thread.  (Although I'm not a snob, I'm an elitist, massive difference!)

I'd argue that the album would still be the same just with a different singer if the runner up was the winner.  They are there to be sold and recycled the following year, purely disposable.  Also, there really needs to be a band called Tim Burtons Latest Mess, good arrows.

Indeed, but when it is created to make money, it's not art.  I'll give you an example.

Pixar films are major studio, they are what, one every few years?  They are crafted to tell a story but personally, I wouldn't call them blockbuster films any more that Ghibli ones.

Blockbusters are a type of film.  Big budget, big effects, big marketing and there are many of them a year that don't deviate from the production line formula.  They aren't unique and that's why I wouldn't call them art.  If you think they are art then so be it.  X Factor winner and boy band albums must be art too.
