  1. I have every hope the 'Bomber' does it tomorrow, will be gutted if he doesn't win. Nice that John Conteh gave him some words of encouragement in the local paper this week, especially as he won the same belt against all odds in 1974

  2. Got Poltergeist on Bluray but haven't got round to watching it yet. Watched four films over the last couple of days, I Spit on Your Grave remake, Creepshow and Dawn of the Dead (original) on Sunday and Them last night. Didn't like I Spit, thought it was better than the original in terms of the revenge scenes but still utter crap, Creepshow was awesome with a nice mix of styles with the segments, Dawn was brilliant if not goofy while Them was an utter waste of time, it's only 74 mins but it feels longer and is in no way as terrifying as the cover makes it out to be

  3. Watched the original I Spit On Your Grave before, my god what a weird movie. I can see why it was on the banned list for so long, the rape scenes are brutal, however the revenge kills are more suited to a slasher flick. What got me was how silent the movie was bar any dialogue and how it just jumps straight into the lead driving out of New York without any real explanation as to why she was going, same goes for the ending it just ends without any resolution to what she's done

  4. Finally got my copy of Crystal Lake Memories this morning from the Post Office sorting room, been watching it all afternoon and still have over 1 1/2 hours left on disc 2. Fantastic documentary that completely eclipses His Name Was Jason in terms of content and interviewees. I love how each chapter title is styled after the respective film and TV show. It had some stuff I didn't realise like how the little girl who played the younger Tina in Part VII also played one of Leatherface's family members in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3

  5. Where did you buy the documentary from? I ask as I've bought it off the US Amazon but is a week late being delivered (should have been here last Tuesday after ordering it on the 12th September)

I preordered it from darkdel.com. They put on a signing with cast and crew and it has an exclusive bonus DVD with 4 more hours of interviews. The only other place to get the bonus disc is crystallakememories.com.

Has it shipped from amazon? because I'd cancel it and get it from there.

Its shipped and I believe its finally showed up today, only to be left undelivered because of an extra charge (which I believe to be customs) of just under

  6. This last two weeks I've watched the complete Friday the 13th Blu-ray collection and the complete 7hour Crystal Lake Memories documentary Blu-ray. A fantastic use of my time. The doc is amazing. One 7hour sitting give or take a brief break or two and its always engaging. I'd never seen the Jason Takes Manhattan trailer until the box set.

Check out the signed cover I got from Dark Delicacies

  7. Watched all the Texas Chainsaw Massacre films bar Next Generation and the remake this weekend and I've mixed views on them. The original looks awesome on Blu ray (first time I've really watched it in full), part 2 drags on a bit but is enjoyable, Leatherface bored the hell out of me to the point I fast forwarded through most of the talky bits while the latest film does well to tie the loose ends from the original and the prequel adds a nice back story to Leatherface

One thing that bugs me though is how his family changes film to film save for the grandad who gets more and more decrepit as they go on, also what's with the family name changing from Hewitt in the prequel to Sawyer in the other films?

  8. I liked that Goldust decided to keep a low-profile by wearing a black hoody and his gold face paint.

Decent Raw. I enjoyed the main event and thought it was good that Rollins got a kicking. I skipped quite a bit of Raw, so anybody care to explain why Triple H put his men in a handicap match? Even King Lawler was thinking somebody was coming out to batter them.

It was done as a reward for the 10 who helped Bryan last week finally stepping up to do something about the regime

  9. That middle hour of Raw was uncomfortable to watch last night from Dusty getting ko'd by Show after a blinding promo to Miz getting Pillmanized in front of his family. Haven't felt like that since the Eddie/Rey custody angle in 2005

  10. Not that I won't mark for Goldy's return on Monday but I would prefer if he come out in the Goldust gear, sans paint and cuts a promo based on Cody's from last week about the Rhodes family being treated like jokes before declaring that it won't be Goldust facing Orton but rather 'The Natural' Dustin Rhodes. Of course it won't happen that way like but it would be cool if it did

  11. Hello, I've just upgraded my Sky in order to get Sky Sports and I'm confused what time and channel is Raw on live? I've had a look at the Sky TV guide and I can't find Raw on Monday on any of the channels, also what is WWE Special?

Raw is live at 1 am every Monday night/Tuesday morning on Sky Sports 3 (403 on Sky guide)

Speaking of which, what is the WWE special this time around?

One of the Nitro sets, don't know if its a repeat of volume 1 or the new volume 2 set

  12. From impressionist Phil Cool's Wikipedia page.

The real Nagasaki, played by Kazuo Sakurada (who is also well known as the trainer of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and WCW superstar Bret "The Hitman" Hart), appeared on the rampway as Cool delivered some amusing facial expressions and a brief monologue in the ring

Shame Howman never broke out some of his best work backstage as well. A WCW/Brush Strokes hybrid could have kickstarted a boom period long before 1996. Shame it never happened.

Still not to late. Imagine if Because of You by Dexys Midnight Runners hit the speakers and Karl Howman walked out instead of Tito Ortiz? Game changer.

Wait one second, is Wiki seriously claiming that this Sakurada chap was the real Kendo Nagasaki? I always thought the character was a British invention that the Yanks imitated

  13. To be honest how many people went to that TNA show to watch those guys or the ones who did wrestle. Even a big company can work with 8 Wrestlers by doing a tournament or some people doing double duty to get 5-6 matches. Plus your more likely to get longer better matches with a smaller crew

Yes that may be true but when one of the talent disallowed from competing is the newly crowned World champion then it looks bad on the company

  14. There's really only two parts of the Incredible Hulk that have any bearing to the Avengers flick.

The first isn't worth a pox and I'm not sure if it's even a thing, but there's lightning involved. The second is after the flick has finished.

    There's also another one that's a deleted/alternate intro scene but that's shit.

I've said it before and now I say it again : Tne thing I absolutely hated about the Avengers flick - and I did really enjoy it on the whole - was Hawkeye's incessant, and majoritarily (is that a word? If not, it fucking should be) nonsensical use of his bow and arrow.

    Isn't that Hawkeye's gimmick anyway?

  15. Futurama is as tremendous as ever.

I've lost track of it completely - 'The Beast With A Billion Backs' is the most recent thing I've seen. How many series do I need to catch up on?

The two feature length films after Beast which are Bender's Game and Into the Wild Green Yonder (all four film's were split up into 4 parts to make a Season 5)

Season 6 which is 26 episodes split into two 13 episode half seasons

Season 7 (current) which is again 2 half seasons, 7A which aired between June and August last year and 7B which started with a double episode this past week
