  1. Many reasons why this failed-

    * Pricing international customers at a much higher rate than American ones. U.K/Ireland and Canada all have to pay close to double for the set.

    * It's far too big. Very few people will have room to display it. Plus you'd also need to then buy the ring for another £200 in a few months.

    * choices of figures are really underwhelming. You have the history of WCW Nitro to choose from and you go with Red & Yellow Hulk (which is a re paint) another repaint of Rey Mysterio and Ultimate Warrior in jeans. Plus the Steiner they chose is the most boring of its looks.

  2. What I can't figure out with this Punk & pals on Saturday and the Elite on a Wednesday thing is what about PPVs? Surely they will be in the same building and interact then?
Long awaited return of the Muffin man.

The only negative this week was bald-headed sunglasses guy in the crowd desperately trying to get himself over. I

Fat Andrew Tate was doing my head in too. Can't imagine having to sit next to someone that annoying.

That was a messy show, with some terrible, and sometimes illogical, booking choices.

Regardless of whether or not a Saturday show is about to launch, Tony Khan should probably draft in some support to help tidy things up, and take better advantage of hot acts/stories such at the BCC. AEW isn’t even close to meeting its full potential right now.

This has been most Dynamites for several weeks now. Some flashes of great stuff but it kind of feels all over the place.

Not feeling the Pillars story at all largely as none of them feel like they could beat MJF so feels a little redundant.

  5. It was the one with Christian on.
After I sat through a near 3 hour "pre show" and lots of utter drek like the UKFFS own Jay Phoenix I was burnt out by the time Christian came on.

The 1PW show with Steve Corino v Al Snow remains the only show I've had a nap during. It was a lovely half hour sleep, and when I awoke the match was still going on because of the aforementioned "Issues" that @air_raid mentions.

At another 1PW show my mate went across the road, booked a hotel room and had a shower during the interval because there was still half the show left and his train was going in 7 minutes. He missed nothing  1PW made the FWA look punctual.

I only went to one 1PW show and did something very similar.
I went to Asda, got some food, took it back on foot to my hotel room, walked back and was still around 2 hours of the show left (think it went on well past midnight) and I didn't stay till the end as had enough by this point.

  7. Another two hours every week with CM Punk and Chris Jericho as the main stars?
    I'll pass.

If AEW wants to do another 2 hours of TV each week then they really need to do something different. Try a new format, or get some new ideas out there. More Rampage doesn't excite me in the slightest.

Quoting this for posterity, as it's such absurd statement and I can't wait to dunk on it when AEW sells 30k+ tickets.

Hell, I'll even reply to that post again with a photo of myself at the crammed and rammed 30k+ Wembley Stadium just for shits and giggles, and I encourage everyone else who is going to do the same.

    Yeah, likewise.
Yes, they may do comps and deals but I don't honestly see them doing more than 30k full price tickets for this event.

Good for them if they do.

  9. Not a major gage. But the toy line they had sold so badly every U.K.  retailer cancelled it a few months ago. They are now gathering dust in Home Bargains for less than a tenner.

Maybe kids aren't into AEW over here. And that is a major section of who would go to this.

  10. I once dealt with a very similar incident at a place I worked.
Transgender woman was in the canteen and a colleague was laughing at her and calling her man. Generally being a twat.

The woman in question made a complaint which I dealt with - she was mortified and angry but very calm in the circumstances and more wanted to shed light on this persons bigotry.

The catcaller was a middle aged woman, who had worked there forever. Totally unprovoked verbal attack. She resigned a few weeks later.

So yes, it def can be women who are arseholes too.

  11. Original Bray Wyatt was great up to when he got supernatural powers. A modern day Waylon Mercy was a great gimmick.

Fiend was good up until his Hell in a Cell with Seth. That was dross. And continued to be outside of the fun match with Cena.

Ever since the QR codes stopped this return has been a bust and exposed Wyatt.

  12. From Sean Sapp:

Bray Wyatt is out of action with an undisclosed "physical issue," WWE sources claim to Fightful.

We haven't heard anything regarding rumors of creative issues, and one source denied it. We'll continue asking.

  13. After he was pulled from MSG at the weekend it's being reported that he is taking some time off either due to personal reasons or creative differences (depending on who you believe)

Rumours of Lashley v Uncle Howdy now for Mania

  14. I am very much in the Licence fee is good value camp, despite very questionable decisions made by the BBC. But this is an outright disgrace from the Beeb and some ones head needs to roll.

During the early days of Savile, multiple Director general lost their jobs due to incompetence and dis-order. Where are the DG in all this (this same one who gives Boris money by the way).

The Question Time segment last night was  akin Nazi Germany. To have that attitude to domestic violence is disgusting, and didn't need an editorial, and Fiona Bruce should lose her job.
And yet it's Gary Linekar in the firing line, for voicing an opinion that only the sane and rationale would have.

The Tories might have won the last election based on "shutting out them bloody foreigners", but times have vastly changed and this county is in the worst position it's been in during my 40+ years on earth.

  15. There's a lot of talent who have stayed too long or haven't freshened up their act much -

Dolph Ziggler, New Day (especially Kofi), Randy Orton, Tamina, Dana Brooke, Natalya, R Truth, Jinder - aside from Orton, who can still be valuable - are years past their best.

  16. The moaning from Eddie is what a lot of wrestlers are like about booking - it's unprofessional bollocks and helps no one. Getting the boo boo face, or moaning because you're in a multi man match are two ways to make sure you never get booked again.

  17. I think the above is the issue.

AEW should exist to be a good alternative, with their own clear brand doing the numbers above.

As well as the sub par booking the turn off for me with AEW for the last couple of years has been their fanbase and the likes of Meltzer & Alvarez not reviewing things objectively.
I was a 20 year + subscriber to the Observer but cancelled last year after Dave & Bryan started going after customers on their paid forum who criticised TKs booking.

Things like TKs Twitter meltdown, and saying that he's in a war or hates WWE every time he is interviewed is another reason not to tune in. It's petty and opens you up to celebration when you don't do as well -- I felt the same when Vince and Eric did in the 90s too.

  18. Will be interesting to see what Dynamite does this week ratings wise, as Rampage did just 285,000 viewers last Friday in what was (I think) their lowest ever rating. Though it was in the early time slot of 7pm it did have the Elite wrestling on the show
