  1. Maybe worst dynamite of the year.

Opening segment was dreadful save for Jericho who is the only one capable of cutting any kind of promo in that group. Though his running down ROH as shit; and then trying to build up for his match later was poorly thought out. Daniel Garcia has all the presence  and charisma of a post it note.

Speaking of which, why did Wheeler Yuta get mic time? Honestly, he is better suited to Dark segments there are dozens of guys on the roster who are better than him, and what a come down for MJF.

Saraya peaked with "Paige here". Awful segment. Britt is dead in the water, as is the title.

Why showcase two unsigned talents in major spots? The roster is huge as it is, use some of the many guys doing nothing and make some meaningful programmes.

  2. I honestly have no clue who the factions are in AEW, and neither does TS by the looks of it.

Is America Top Team now over? Where is Scorpio and Dan Lambert?
What's the Andrade Family office doing and who is even in it anymore?
Same with Truthbusters whose two week push is already over.

  3. Rumour that Punk could be fired today ...

    From Fighful:

    • SRS has heard from reputable sources who have said they heard Punk was injured in the melee, though no one has outright told him to
    • SRS definitively states that Punk was "absolutely wrong" about the Elite leaking the Colt Cabana rumor to him, Dave, or Bryan
    • SRS says he sat on a story for 3 months that AEW talent had felt that Punk had cost Cabana his job and that the Bucks were the ones to save it. He reached out to Cabana for confirmation, who essentially told SRS that he didn't want to talk about Punk or the situation, so SRS was hesitant to publish w/o confirming
    • SRS says that no one is rushing to his DMs to defend Punk, though there are people who see his side
    • SRS says people believe Steel will try to get his job back at NXT but that's not expected to happen after the melee
    • SRS got a phone call from a very well-connected person in wrestling at 5 AM that Punk was under the impression that he was going to be let go. SRS noted that this person never broke news to him before.
    • SRS makes the point that Punk wants everything to be covered fairly yet won't talk to the media
    • SRS is asked about the Brian Last report that multiple people were suspended and that Punk/Omega talked. SRS says information is all over the map: he's heard Steel has been fired, Punk is supposed to have a meeting today and was expecting to be fired, etc. but cannot verify anything as of yet
    • SRS thinks that WWE will at least reach out to Punk if he were to be let go from AEW and see if an agreement could be made
    • SRS says that if he were Tony he would quickly launch an investigation and found out who was at fault in totality, especially with the physical aspect, and then suspend talent and fire Ace Steel
    • SRS spoke with a top WWE talent that said they need AEW to thrive for the sake of the entire industry and fear another monopoly even with HHH at the helm
    • SRS says the call he got last night implied that WBD was not happy

Have sales been bad? They had a lot of shelf space, maybe more than WWE in some stores.

Yes, both Smyths & Entertainer have stopped stocking them.

AEW/Jaswares have spun it that they are moving to online sales only in the U.K.

Is there any specific place thats good for selling Wrestling Figures? Or am I best just taking my chances on ebay or in the Classifieds on here?

Got a couple of Unboxed and no longer Available WWE Elites I’m looking to offload

If you have Facebook - Wrestling Figures U.K. is a great place to sell. If not, Ebay is fine.

  6. 1.05 rating with a 0.34 demo.

    Good rating on the surface.
But that is the biggest match AEW can do- and that is the ceiling for the next couple of years unless someone catches fire.

  7. Another thing brought up on WOR was the Rosa situation.
The plan was for Rosa to drop the belt on this PPV, she gets injured and instead of holding a 4 way to crown a new champion we get more interim champion bollocks.

  8. According to Meltzer on today's WOR the plan is for Punk/Mox II next Sunday, and this angle was Moxleys idea

He also brought up Hangman and that there is no plans for a Hangman / Punk story at present.

  9. I don't see the point of Mox vs Punk again next week, especially as they did an injury angle for Punk so in theory he shouldn't be able to compete or it makes him a plucky underdog against the companies top face.

    Strange and frankly silly booking.

  10. Ratings in general are a disappointment.

They were doing higher viewers and demos during the pandemic era when they had NXT as competition. Since then they have hired Adam Cole, red Dragon, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and tons of others and the needle has moved sideways or backwards.
Rampage, despite its poor time slot is dead in the water after a promising start.

I can only speak for what my biggest turn offs are as far as AEW (though I generally watch most weeks) -

    - the NJPW stuff dragged and I had no interest. Likewise , ROH and Owen Hart Cup  - too many titles, and a new tournament seemingly every week to keep track of.
    - Champions don't feel like they matter - at present we have the AEW World, World Interim, Atlantic, Tag, TBS, Women's, TNT, ROH World, ROH TV, ROH women's, FTW, and soon to be 6 man tag. Plus, featuring AAA & NJPW belts from time to time.
Thats 12 full time champions for 3 hours of programming!
    - Stop / start pushes. Wrestler A comes in, works a strong match against established talent such as Moxley or Danielson, puts in a good showing. Gets a couple more wins and feels like they're building something and then - they're gone for weeks or even months replaced by another new talent. It's very hard to get excited by or invested.
    - commentary - whilst not enough to make me not tune in, JR and Jericho are the pits announcing. JR in particular is becoming a detriment to segments.

  11. When I mentioned his short sighted booking was more along the lines of not pulling the trigger of what's in front of him.

Darby, MJF and Jungle Boy were on the cusp on pretty big things - now look where they are due to TKs booking.

Darby has done nothing of note for months, and floats around the mid card.
MJF was white hot but this shoot angle and then disappearance has done him no favours, likewise leaning into his edgy (cheap heat) comments which got old fast.
Jungle Boys tag reign went on months too long, and when they finally pulled the trigger on him vs Christian it's played second fiddle to ROH shite instead of being a featured programme given plenty of air time.

By now at least one, if not all three should be main eventing main shows and not still bloody Jericho!

Wardlow, see above. Who TK has also turned him a can't miss prospect into low card bollocks with Jay Lethal.

  12. You imagine why this is Cody booked his own programmes (with varying success) and why AEW was a much more engaging show for its first 18 months or so.

Tony Sniff is not a terrible Booker, but he is short sighted and doesn't seem to know how to actually properly do story's and angles.

The Forbidden Door bollocks and now ROH being all over the show are further proof that he is not the Booker he was lauded as

  13. Mal was in the start of the last episode lamenting breaking up with Izzy with Karl & Harold, and then again at the end hanging out with Glen & Lucas at the part of Susan's monologue about people who could have been friends but had never met.

Found myself in a similar situation as part of my reporting was direct to the CEO in my previous role who had no appreciation for how good a job we were doing as it wasn't as good as 5 years ago - without any acknowledgement of how the sales and contact centre game has changed in that time. I loved the people so didn't really want to leave but eventually bit the bullet and left due to feeling undervalued, best decision I have made. Landed on a higher salary with less responsibility if I'm being completely honest and in just 2 months feel more appreciated than I ever did in 4 years at my last place. Don't let yourself feel unappreciated, if you're already thinking about other jobs then you're probably not happy deep down. One thing I will say is I did get an offer I couldn't refuse though as it was a move from private to being a civil servant so it may just be that things worked out for me and won't for everyone.

Having said that, this is very much true. I cannot stand any of my reports coming to me and making others look bad to make themselves look better. I know this wasn't what you were trying to do but it's possible it is coming across that way with the comparisons. Comparisons are fine but focus mostly on your own performance and the positives there when presenting as opposed to the negatives of other areas.

Well done and does sound Similar. I have actually looked at jobs in that sector but find it a bit daunting as wording on adverts is very different from private sector

  15. I only have one person in a similar role and he was very surprised that I am getting all this grief. He said he had nothing like that.

I did stop talking when she did and said "sorry lost my train of thought when you checked your phone, where was I at" to make a point.

They are covering the role for a maternity leave so only have 5 months left, potentially. And yes in the union. Should this be a conversation I should have with them?

  16. Thoughts on this as it's doing my head in!

Ive worked in the same job for ten years which has quite a lot of responsibility.
The department I run has outperformed all others for 3 years across the country and continues to do so.

Due to outside factors (basically the way industry is) all sites have seen a dip the last 4 months, however mine is still outperforming others and producing huge revenue.

Despite this my new boss is every conversation we have even an hello at the coffee machine tells me that  I have dropped. Last weeks was - "yeah lovely day. Performance has fallen 0.02% this week" and then cut me off.

Since then I have had my performance review - I explained via an excel the outside factors and showed her how we were miles ahead of every one else and where our opportunities were and what I along with our team were doing.

She told me "this is just noise" and words to the effect of I will be on your case unless I see it being positive improvements and I am not Interested unless it is.

She also spend 10 mins of my review on her phone whilst I was trying to present to her.

I love my job, have worked there a long time and have great benefits but I really find working for her infuriating. As she is the top dog in my companies site I don't know what to do or where to go. But it's utterly demotivating. I don't want to leave, but have found myself starting to look at other areas and other companies as I feel totally despondent.
