I'm probably overthinking it, but viewing that clip from its original angle doesn't she sound extraordinarily close to the camera from ten feet away? They've certainly put a plant in for less, and it makes total sense to do since viral clips are where it's at.

Back and to the left etc.

I think the mic or a mic has just picked her up to be honest, but I do spot a puff of blue hair behind the knoll.

  2. I really enjoyed the finish to the I Quit Match. Christian has the biggest, trolling, unrepentant shithead as TNT Champion and it's been fantastic. A finish where a total gobshite gets repeatedly kicked in the bollocks until he quits was a end I enjoyed. Hardly valiant babyface stuff, but also it's an I Quit Match and the prick deserved it. I'm assuming the Cope Open becomes a TNT Challenge like when Cody did it for a bit, until Copeland gets a new feud in.

  3. Stick Stokeley Hathaway with Mone. Perfect fit and he can talk for her. I've always been impressed at how unlikeable Sasha Banks could make herself by osmosis. Still not seen her weirdo fans online, I must be lucky.

Bit of a let down generally. They didn't explain why everything on the show was happening so I couldn't get into it.

The Young Bucks v The Midnight Express (Stan Lane and Dennis Condrey with Jim Cornette)

    Johnny Saint v Bryan Danielson

Hangman Page v Cowboy Bob Orton Jr

Scott Steiner v Bron Breaker loser has to keep Rick Steiner.

    William Regal v Orange Cassidy.

Christ, you can actually picture Regal/Cassidy in your head and see it play out in about three or four different types of match.

  5. I'm guessing WWE is doing really well atm as a product, which is absolutely brilliant as it means more people are enjoying it. The biggest being the best is utter cock though, it is a personal taste thing. In a few years I might get tired with AEW and prefer something else for example. I think part of my enjoyment now is I have a NEW alternative to regularly watch instead of the market leader and it's current, rather than regression into what I enjoyed in the past (old PPV's on the network when I had it etc).

The worst bit of the fandom are the really weird fucks who actively WANT a promotion to fail. It's such a strange concept. What Pat said too, I think people just hate admitting they enjoy it.

I think it's nice being in a place where as a fan, I just like still having a regular product to watch, no massive favourites, but the ones I have I'm not massively arsed if they win or lose as long as I'm kept interested. Of course there is booking where you kind of need to give the people the obvious good feeling ending (Cody must bloody win).

  6. They're still having Gargano & Ciampa interacting? Incredible. An feud built for us internet freaks that was so overdone it was rejected by internet freaks.

I'm not watching, but even if all this cobblers with The Rock sounds a jumbled mess. Cody is winning the belt. He HAS too, logic can't dictate a reason to not. You'd literally assume that WWE actively wants it's fans to be disappointed and upset doing that decision twice in two years.

The only reason you wouldn't is if they're like 'We've decided Roman Reigns will out date Sammartino's run' purely for the benefit of absolutely nobodies interest... I mean that would be hilarious mind you.

  7. Dynamite. YouTube clips of Rampage/Collision. Old WWF stuff online from the good YouTube channels. Old AJPW from the 80's/90's. I'm pretty much completely divorced from WWE as a watch and only keep in touch with the chat here and the occasional YouTube clip.

If stuff like Wrestle Me, OSW and any of those wrestling docs online count. Them.

  8. Good grief that Dalton Castle/Taya bit was tremendous! Nearly everything Taya said had me laughing.

"THEY'RE WITH THEY'RE DADDY... ON A MOUNTAIN TOP... LEARNING HOW TO BE MEN!!!'

Sublime. PUT IT ON PROPER TV YOU COWARDS!

  9. Inspired by @air_raidreminding me about King Kong Bundy dropping from the main event of Mania 2 to fighting Hillbilly and the little lads at III, you got a particular fall from grace from one Wrestlemania to the next?

We'll disallow people being injured or simply not being in the company by the next year unless there is a mad circumstance.

Re : Theory - so, if he’s not part of the tag team title clusterfuck, can I assume he won’t actually wrestle at Mania? If so, he’ll go from beating John Cena last year to being left off the card this year, which surely has got to be the worst drop off from one Mania to the next for someone still on the active roster since King Kong Bundy went from wrestling Hulk Hogan at 2, to wrestling Little Beaver at 3.

Honourable mention to Big Show losing to Cena at Mania XX and then getting strutting out in a kimono for Akebono to throw him about. Poor lad.

  11. Never understood the dislike for Test that I've seen in places. Agreed cutting his hair was a disaster, but he could go when required. Test improved steadily until 2003 when he just seemed to lose form.

That big boot on Brock is an absolute thing of beauty.

Why is this a bad thing?

I mean it's not a match I want to see, as I think Knight is quite shit, but every match at Wrestlemania (should in theory-no not that theory) matter, so it makes zero difference where it is on the card.

I'm just taking the piss because it looks a bit of an inconsequential bland match and that usually gets the 2nd match treatment. It's more a feel in the atmosphere on a big show sometimes that after a hot opener, the momentum can struggle. It also doesn't really matter.

Whats that you say? Chili's favourite background angle continues? Yes, please. Even with Saraya's gormless brother in the mix, I'm still enjoying this tale. Cool Hang Angelo confronting Norwich's maddest man was great. Saraya is a treat in this angle, just a shithead bully who deliberately causes a ruck so her brother can smack someone about. Pitch perfect character when Angelo lamped him and Saraya starts going "GET ORF MY BROTHER" when he gets a smack. No idea what Harley Cameron's end game in this is. Sterling promo from Cool Hand, all the 2.0 lads are great cutting those hidden fire interviews. Long may this strange fable continue.

To be fair, nowadays all you'd need to do to beat Booker T would be to stand a couple of steps up a flight of stairs.  His knees are absolutely shot, he'd be stuck like a Dalek.

    Stucky Stucky Quack Quack?
