  1. Yeah I've seen a few, well this is their WCW moment innit, no going back now etc. I think time and some revision has made people forget or they just never lived through how bad WCW truly was as a business and sometimes a product.

Can we have Willow Nightingale, Edge, Briscoe and Kingston as some fun group of ragtag mates please!

  2. I genuinely think that might be the end of the situation, and possibly one that only Tony Khan was interested in showing and nobody (even Bucks/FTR etc) was into and now it's done. Let Twitter and the southern racist tennis fan chat away and let everyone enjoy two different mainstream wrestling products.

General overview. Punk looked a knobhead, but hardly breaking news. I felt bad for Jack Perry because saying 'real glass' or not, Punk doesn't need to start throwing hands while your fixing your hair after a match. Physical assaulting a co-worker and then the online response is 'that got him fired?' YES, It's an assault, if this incident shown me anything, it's that some wrestling fans are more than happy and accepting actual physical violence in a work culture/life/situations. It wasn't a grand plan for him to get sacked either I think, he's just a really unpleasant fucker. Awful. I felt bad for Perry, Joe having to dive in, Chris Hero for that genuinely amusing meme reaction, Jerry Lynn having a fucked up neck and having to split them, and finally Tony Schiavone who when they cut back looked like he in the midst of a bad flashback.

Also, I haven't seen her in years but we are 4 weeks in, she's not had a match and I'm already reaching my interest level with Mercedes Mone. What do so many people see that I don't? She LOOKS the star but doesn't talk that way. I genuinely think it's something cultural or young that I don't get. Her online stans seem absolutely bloody terrible.

Again, I hope it's done. AEW is all I bother with, and I don't want a promotion I'm not interested in getting any clout off it, they're doing very well themselves, so let them. None of this would have happened or aired if they weren't all billionaires.

  3. Jericho is as ever a right difficult one to figure out. He was really important to the start of AEW and I'd almost say that even though the JAS angle went on way too long, 2022 was possibly one of his best in-ring performance runs. It seems like after he put Ricky Starks over at Revolution 2023 (great ending that with Starks using his pose to block the Judas Effect), everything just went completely off the rails. As a performer he dropped, as a promo he dropped, as a character with all that joining but not joining Don Callis group and every angle he got involved with (Adam Cole, Sammy heel, Golden Jets) just went to shit. He's been due a fuck off and come back refreshed for about over a year now. Poor Hook.

What's more frustrating about Jericho is if he buggered off and came back with something, he'd probably get another fun run out of him. He's both remarkably inconsistent but impressively consistent at doing the Bowie/Madonna minor alteration to his act. Guy got clicking a pen over.

  4. I think airing the footage unless it's something absolutely extraordinary (given we know most of the thing it won't be) is a waste of time you could use for a promo, or a new talent. It's actually very petty WWE of them and WWE are looking rather well from a PR, live events and event perspective at the moment (very perspective given how dodge the their big dogs are).

Nothing wrong with little potshots, but actively using time on TV to address it. It's probably ranks high as potentially some of the worst bit of time wasting/emergency PR. Up there with Billionaire Ted, Eric Bischoff beating Vince McMahon via count out at Slamboree but probably not interviewing Melanie Pillman bad. Absolutely bloody stupid and the only way they'd look good here is if Cody didn't win on Sunday so everyone is in a great mood regardless, or something absolutely hilarious happens in the footage, someone's cock falls out or Tony Khan gets carried away crying like when that security guard hoofed Low-Ki that time in CZW.

  5. Apparently a good show but it was full of people who paraded about who protected and voted a known sexual offender to the board of directors so yeah probably a no.

Glad they finished the bloody story mind.

  6. The older you get you see it with Heyman. That's he's actually a big grifting con artist and tremendous hype man. Being congratulated by a man who actually wanted to kill him and after all those careers and lives he fucked up. Outside of wrestling Paul Heyman would've state evidence for some sort of court case or he'd be running a lower end new age cult somewhere. Horrid

I'm pretty sure they're gonna turn Willow heel on Mercedes, with TK thinking he needs to have his big, very expensive signing be the face of the women's division on TV, both figurative and literal.

Not saying its the right decision at all because its absolutely not, but the way they're booking some aspects at the moment it's like Stokely turning her over to the evil side to stop Mone feels like a possible outcome.

I thought the opposite in that I think Stokeley will end up representing Money actually. Either wouldn't surprise me, though I think turning Willow is the sillier option.

  8. I thought the Trent heel turn was fantastically done as well as Ospreys/Hobbs, as well as setting up two interesting women's matches for Dynasty.

I wish they're lighting was a bit brighter though and much agree that I don't need to see a Billy Gunn match on Dynamite, and I like him a lot.

  9. I completely forgot how BTE touched that with so much irrelevant sarcasm. Didn't Punk go mental about Kenny Omega drinking a Pepsi in a skit as an obvious dig at him? I just want that to be true through sheer silliness.

It was the whole Signature Pharmacy scandal wasn’t it, they were all getting steroids and HGH over the internet. Benoit was on huge doses of testosterone too from Dr Astin.

Loads of them were implicated, including Edge, Rey Mysterio and other Smackdown guys plus Helms, Holly and many others.

AHH I think I'm confusing years, that was 2006-2007 and my brain is going to 2002-03.

Here’s the thing though, he almost certainly shouldn’t have and he got through it by popping insane amounts of painkillers.

I remember about a year before he left WWE reading an “article” about how modern Kurt’s fitness regime was, how he’d learnt all this stuff in the Olympics about ice baths and warm downs and was teaching it to the WWE locker room.

Except it was all bullshit, someone had a good hookup and they were all mainlining HGH and percocets.  That whole Guerrero/Benoit/Angle Smackdown locker room might have been the most fucked up of all time drugs-wise and that’s saying something. Everyone was dropping dead either on the road or just after leaving it (Hennig for e.g).  The Plane Ride from Hell was in the middle of all that too.

Angle is lucky to be alive.  There’s a reason WWE never really wanted him back in a ring, because for a while there he was on death watch.

Got anymore about the Smackdown locker room being HGH off their faces, not something I've read much before?!

He's absolutely correct on this. If I'd had that kind of situation with someone there is zero chance I'd talk to them without it being recorded/someone present.

"Sorry about all that Phil, let's have a muffin"

    Do one Colt.

Agreed, but you can't be all 'talk to me, squash a beef' in a podcast and then drop that pearler. But then again you can, he's a millionaire grouch and I'm just a grouch.

  13. Watched it all. Classic Punk, the finest bit was his gripe about guaranteed contracts, Hangman's workers rights line now makes Punk seem a right fanny. Also the Colt bit about squashing beefs but then lawyering up when Cabana broached it. He's a fantastic prick, I can't wait till he smacks Seth Rollins for something that Rollins probably didn't cause. It's gonna be wonderful.

  14. I do still like him, but he's gonna crack again one day, sooner, maybe later. But we all secretly want it. It's there, and it's going to be another brilliant breakdown.

The Dynamite Merch Stand last night.  That was the full product line.  Whoever is in charge of their merch division needs to be fired!

Terrible, woeful, and it really brought the down the quality of the show.

  16. I don't think it's as bad as 'Boris' the image crafted on HIGNFY etc as some smokescreen, but I think Madeley is considered so harmless and occasionally such fifth gear Partridge on occasion he veers into likeable out of amusement. He absolutely believes that Ali G bit he did was some 4D chess on his part and that makes it far funnier to me. Plus Shakin' Stevens tried to take him on the telly.

  17. They might have cut the Cornette pod references because someone actually knows their content. I imagine if anything was getting a 'don't reference that' post promo it was anything near that. Punk trying to get everyone saying Vince's name seemed rank shite to me. Kind of bollocks he'd tried to pull (Williams). Daring people to say something they obviously can't. Oh you're hard. Still, lovely work beyond that. Poor Seth Rollins might as well be bricked up like Henry the Green Engine.

The Rock is an absurdly big star, him walking out from the dark. Lush that. Hopefully Cody beats him for the belt at Mania.

Slight detour away from Twitter, but here''s the full video of Lord White's appearance:

Fuck WWE, sod AEW. I'm nailing my flag to a new mast. Lovely stuff. Lord White!

I'm probably overthinking it, but viewing that clip from its original angle doesn't she sound extraordinarily close to the camera from ten feet away? They've certainly put a plant in for less, and it makes total sense to do since viral clips are where it's at.

Back and to the left etc.

I think the mic or a mic has just picked her up to be honest, but I do spot a puff of blue hair behind the knoll.
