My mate used to buy those for us when we played pitch and putt. I always think of 'guano' when I read itĀ šŸ’©

it's what it tasted like! Not really, but I never thought it tasted a patch on the original version and was the 3rd out of Peanut and Coconut

    Guarana was the best.

Look at the fucking plight of this though. Ā£1.49 for a ā€˜proteinā€™ boost. Daft cunts.

I have seen the Snickers and Mars about the same price. Complete con job for Protein Shake enthusiasts (often known as Gym Twats)

I tried a Boost on Sunday for the first time (after hearing rave reviews in here) from the vending machine at work and wasn't overly impressed.

boosts are boring. Are you getting confused for the love of Starbars?

What were the pay offs like in Line of Duty? Ā I'm enjoying Bodyguard, despite imagining Theresa May doing all the things Keely Hawe is doing *shudders* but I can't help but think it's going to get all ITV crime drama on us and have a ridiculously stupid ending.

not started watching it yet, but Line of Duty has some amazing payoffs. It is my favorite British drama series by far. Each season gets better

Stumbled across an account on Instagram selling the best wrestling tops I've ever seen. Not sure how well known they are on here but they're ace. Their instagram is chalklineofficial, website is chalk-line.com - Would post a couple of pictures but not sure how to do so from mobile.Ā

they sell the jackets on shopzone

Thanks for the reminder that Paddington is on Prime. I can't remember the last time I was charmed by a film in such a way. Both films are genuinely very funny and everyone is really good inĀ the films. The worry early doors is it's going to be "quirky" overload, but they get it right.

The 2nd film, in particular, is very worthy of all theĀ gushing praise it received. It wasn't until a scene near the end, where theyĀ clearly nod towards it that I noticedĀ the film is inspiredĀ by It's A Wonderful Life.

    Better than Star Wars.

Iā€™m sure I read that Paddington 2 is eligible for the Oscars next year after a late US release. If so, campaign for Hugh Grant for best supporting actor

You're the first person I've ever heard say that, and I loiter round some grottily pro-Star Wars areas of the Internet.Ā

Rogue One is getting almost universal praise as a really great standalone film (I loved it at first and it gets better with each watch). Solo is fine, but completely ephemeral. Han starts as a scoundrel... and ends as one. Just romps around a bit. Dead person cameo aside, it's just fluff.Ā

I second Devon. Maybe it was the low expectations and brilliant turn from Donald Glover. But I thought Solo was great fun and sad people avoided it due to the behind the scenes drama. Saying that, I think Star Wars now has the worst fan base since Wrestling

Ā It's why I refuse to watch Ready Player One because it'll just be 3 hours of "I KNOW WHAT THAT IS I HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE". Well, that and I read an awful extract which was essentially my worst nightmare of being trapped in an elevator at Comic Con.

    Ā

to me Ready Player One was Spielberg at his 80's best. Sure, there are lots of easter eggs and cameo's but it's much more then that. I am yet to speak to someone who has seen it that didn't at least enjoy it.

Deadpool 2 and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom are both dog shit. So that is the barometerĀ Ā to base my opinions on of this years movies.Ā

Finished this yesterday. The last 45 minutes picked up for a bit but I didn't care a single iota about any of the characters so it was lost on me. No backstory and chemistry means I won't invest in the protagonists and supporting cast. The fan-service got so much worse as well. People say that they loved this movie?Ā

if you don't care about the characters it's hard to care/invest in the film. I liked it a lot but you can feel the way you feel. I have grown to love The Last Jedi but I hated it on first watch and know many still do

Maddie Moate fans will be delighted to hear that Do You Know? will be back for a new series in a couple of weeks, I certainly am.

I find shows like this fascinating. Throw in an easy on the eye host and Iā€™m sold.

the only other show I care about on there really is Hey Duggie. But I have to say, the mum in Waffle is making me invest into that show too

Roast dinners are massively overrated and are a lot of faff for a meal that, compared to most other meals, is relatively tasteless.

It very much depends on the execution. A roast done well is amazing. Honey glazed parsnips, marmite roast potatoes, seasoned veg. PerfectĀ

ā€A portion of kids chips pleaseā€

    ā€........ā€

ā€For my kid, in the carā€

    ā€Get Outā€

Just reminds me of the kids meal scene in Atlanta.

what does it matter. You pay a lower price for a smaller portion. If Iā€™m eating a light lunch Iā€™ve often bought a Happy Meal and given the toy to a kid in the restaurant or taken it home for mine.

  12. My favourite chocolate fact is that in America a box of chocolates does not have any guide included. So until you bite into a chocolate you have no idea of the filling. Hence Forest Gumpā€™s iconic quote about life being like a box of chocolates as you never know what your going to get. 10 year old me was like, sure, just look at the guide book!

I know it's only a trailer and that, but this looks exactly what any self-respecting fan wants out of a Shane Black Predator movie.

    Ā

I am refusing to watch that trailer, based on the fact I already have my tickets booked for the 12th in the only 3D screening my Cineworld is showing it in that week. The idiots

Gus nailed it in the OP. It's a Double Decker. Star Bar comes a close second & I've got respect for the enduring simplicity of a Kit Kat. Boosts have been wank since they stopped being filled with coconut.

I said it previously, but boost was biscuit, peanut or coconut (I want to say blue, yellow and red). Blue boost was kept, Peanut Boost became Star Bar and Coconut, arguably the best, was never seen again. Long over due a comeback!

  15. Starbars are the king here. Sure, the peanut and Coconut boosts were both great, but only the peanut version survived and got rebranded to Starbar. Itā€™s like a better Snickers.

    Ā

also, chocolate straight out the fridge is wrong. Like trying to eat a brick. Unless itā€™s something thin like a Kit Kat which actually is improved if sticking it in the freezer for 20 minutes before eating

Had an unexpected chippy tea tonight off my mam, as a make up cos she had taken my sister, my niece and my nephew to Pizza Hut after they had been to the Blue Planet Aquarium this morning, she had to nip out and order flowers so brought me back Salt and Pepper wings, chips and Chinese sauce

    Whereā€™s the chippy tea?

  17. 2 hours ago, Slapnut said:

Iā€™m dying to post a picture of this eveningā€™s chippy tea, but I canā€™t figure out how to embed photos. Apparently thereā€™s an icon in the bottom left corner to attach an image usually, but Iā€™ve never had that for some reason.Ā

How do I go about doing this?

    EDIT: all sorted.

    How did you do it?

They were cracking, from a fresh batch.Ā  FishNChicken, it's the main one I'd go to in Harlow by choice.

Fish N Chicken are often great. My only complaint is their portion size to cost is a bit stingey (in Harold Hill / Basildon branches), but their chips are bloody good

The Happytime Murders has just replaced Open Water as the worst movie I've ever seen. I didn't laugh once. Not fucking once.

My mate insisted it would be akin to Team America and was guffawing all the way through it, the lousy prick.

    Ā

    Ā

similar to me and Sausage Party. 90 minutes of just shit vulgar and dick jokes does not an entertaining film make. The reason why South Park and Team America are so good is that the make a decent script with funny jokes.

The Notebook is a modern movie masterpiece!

I have never seen it. But my wife has. I was out with some friends and she called me up barely able to speak. Couldn't breathe, couldn't understand her. She just kept saying I need you to come home as quickly as you can. I thought someone had died. I get home and she was distraught from watching that movie (Eventually she explained how some of it resonated with people in her life, namely her Dad). To this day I have never known a reaction to a film like it. I am pretty sure now that if I watch it, it will not have the intended effect.
