Pretty sure hating you because I earn more money would be the most Tory thing imaginable. Besides, it is clear I am very anti-Gammon

what about these, as they are delicious gammon-steaks.png?w=1024&h=576&fm=jpg&fi

What a disgusting and stupid thing to say.

I think it’s just an ironic comment. I’m sure it’s not meant to be malicious

I don't watch trailers, as a rule, but I had to see this one and I'm glad I did because it's incredible.

I have genuine goosebumps watching that. I thought it would be good, but it looks outstanding. Both of them could be Oscar nominated, which is clearly why it is being released in Oscar season

My sincerest apologies for dragging this thread right down but I've just half finished this abomination:

I don't even want to talk about it...

Is it sponsored by McCains or something? State of them chips! And one of Young’s fish fillets by the look of things. Jesus.

Ahh, didn't see that, sorry mate.

I don't know why this one has bothered me so much. I mean, they all do, but it hasn't stopped me from watching stuff with people involved in stuff like this, whether rightly or wrongly. I'd been looking forward to The Predator for months but all this has blown up and I've lost all enthusiasm for it. It's just awful that only Jacob Tremblay has stood up for Olivia Munn on this, a bloody 11 year old kid.

Thankfully Stirling K Brown and Boyd Holbrook put out statements over the weekend and Shane Black has also now apologized as well https://www.aol.com/article/entertainment/2018/09/13/director-shane-black-gets-visibly-choked-up-responding-to-olivia-munn-predator-controversy/23525862/

The Predator. Some good bits but it felt like it had been chopped and changed and some of it was quite jarring

The only screening they had was in 3D and it's waaaay too dark, way worse than Solo.

They didn't finish reshoots until July! As a 3D lover I can wholeheartedly agree. Awful rushed conversion. I am not sure it is even getting a 3D release in America as they pulled the Ads. I have seen plenty of dark 3D films, the problem is normally they do not collaborate the systems. watching 3D at home is a much better experience as I have adjusted the settings and colors to work.Laser 3D from IMAX is able to show 3D and still keep the film bright. But to be honest, I think even if it does get an unlikely 3D home release I would skip it.

  7. The Predator. Thought it was a bit of a mess. It had some funny bits and good action sequences. But at times it felt all over the place and you can tell it was plagued by reshoots. Thought the lead actor was bland. Supporting cast made up for it but feel it was a missed opportunity. Terrible 3D conversation, due to reshoots I’d imagine. Some of the 3D worked well, other times piss poor. All in all it was good, but not up to Shane Blacks usual standard

The Predator - If you're a Shane Black fan, you'll love it. If you're a militant Predator fan, you'll want the chaps head on a stick. I'm in the camp of the former and I'll watch it again. He's pretty much done an Iron Man 3 on it. I'm delighted.

    does this mean

Arnie is using The Predator as a costume to kill people in disguise?

Off to see see it tonight, and cannot wait

Has anyone seen the progress of this new Harry Potter coaster replacing Dueling Dragons? Its looking like an incredible mix of Expedition Everest and something like Big Thunder Mountain over at Disney.

Don’t get too excited. It’s likely to be a copy of the Arthur ride. I’m sure it will be fun, but not as thrilling as those attractions. At least it’s not all screens again.

What about the Star Wars and Frozen lands at Studios in DLP? I'm sure I saw a date of 2022 thrown around. Cripes.

the first phase, which should be Marvel given they are already changing that area of the park, should be 2020, with 2021 and 2022 as the other lands. Frozen is due to have a massive lake built in the middle of it, so i expect Marvel, Star Wars and Frozen, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The Marvel Hotel should be open for early 2020 as the New York will close in January 2019. Rock N Roller Coaster is due to be re-theamed next year to Iron Man. I would also expect Tower of Terror to become Mission Breakout in 2020 unless  the 3rd Guardians doesn't happen. That could put those plans in chaos.

Disneyland dude, I know my parks.  The way they're structuring AP blockout dates and ticket promotions it looks like they're aiming for June.  Whether they make that or not is something entirely different.

I know. I misread it when I saw the question pop up and automatically assumed it was an Orlando question. June is definitely the aim for month as they wanted it open before the 4th July weekend, but like you say, who knows and until they announce an actual date, we are in the dark

Has a more accurate opening date for Star Wars Galaxy's Edge been announced yet? Everywhere I'm looking just says 2019. I'm desperate to go to Disney but don't want to go until it's open.

Disneyland is Summer 2019. WDW is late fall 2019. Every chance they will be delayed, no one knows as yet. Either way, those first few months are going to be gridlocked! The one good thing about the DLP expansion is they have spare land. In America they have had to squeeze them into the space they had available.

Those salted caramel Kit Kat's are pants honestly. I've noticed a spike in salted caramel products recently, a fad much like Peri-Peri that I'm hoping will die quick. Speaking of Kit Kat's, put one of those peanut butter chunkys in the fridge last night. Now I've had one at room temperature and wasn't overly impressed. This time though, wow. The cold really enhances the flavor of the peanut butter and the texture doesn't feel like you're at a risk of breaking a tooth chowing down through the wafer. Would recommend.

Kit Kat's in the freezer are where it's at.

On another note, I really miss Yorkie's The Nutter Bar. Could give or take Yorkie's but the Nutter variation was amazing

Anyone had these Dairy Milk Oreo bars? They had massive ones for £1.50 in Tesco for a while, but now they're £2 for one less than half the size. Absolutely lovely though. Biscuit base with this amazing creamy topping (especially a few weeks back when it was really warm so chocolate went all gooey) and a fairly thick layer of Dairy Milk all around it. It's very similar to Ritter's "butter biscuit" bars, but even nicer.

Ritter do a few good ones actually. The mint one was excellent, and marzipan too, but I haven't seen them in the shops for ages. I think they're more popular "on the continent" rather than over here.

Lidl often sell them as do home bargains
