  1. I don't even know how to fucking explain the extent of how upset and emotional the end of this PPV was for me.

The co-main genuinely had me on my knees in my front room in floods of tears, I don't know what went wrong for nunes she absolutely dominated the first round and it looked once again like it was going to be a quick day in the office for her.......then the second round happened and it completely fell apart for her, she kept getting hit again and again and again then she fucking tapped when the submission wasn't properly in........ there are some people genuinely on Twitter claiming she threw the fight and took a dive, listen if you truly believe that the greatest women's fighter of all time did anything like that your a fucking moron.

Then it was the main event and I thought this will be the good positive finish to the final PPV of the year AAAAANNNNNDDD once again Dustin came out in the first round and really looked like this was his time. He rocked olive a few times, knocked him down it all looked great........ then the second round starts and olive realized he isn't going to win on the feet and went for the takedown which Dustin fought with everything he had until olive clearly had his fingers in his glove and he had no option other than to roll which meant olive took the top position and rained down with brutal elbows, like really brutal. End of second, start of the third Dustin gave his back and fell to his rear naked choke and that was that.

You have to believe that the ufc really did want Dustin to win that belt and obviously have nunes retain to have the big baby face finish to round out the year and send the fans home happy.

Really really disappointed and honestly emotional about it all and that's the first time it's ever happened to me.

  2. Just finished watching this i skipped a few fights but caught the ones that got my attention.

First thoughts is there is a very good reason no one in the industry has done anything with this sort of ring, It doesn't work, It was pretty tiny and the fighters barely had any room because of it.

Second thoughts were the rules were fucking stupid and swapped and changed from fight to fight to the extent that during the Mitrione fight he was shouting at the ref because what he was doing WAS legal but the ref kept splitting them up and stopping the action which just came off as so unprofessional and stupid.

So it was billed as MMA vs BOXING and if that's the case then MMA clearly won.

However the main event.......What the fuck was that main event man, Mir looked in the worst shape I've ever seen a "Professional" fighter look (Even at heavyweight) and even though the rounds were only 2 minutes  by about 30 seconds he looked like he was blowing out of every part of his body. What the fuck that ref was thinking not calling the fight for about 10 seconds while Mir was knocked out on his feet and on another planet I will never know but fucking hell it was bad.

It was something......It happened......It doesn't need to happen again

  3. I personally thought the Justin vs Chandler fight topped this one for fight of the year however this fight was fucking fantastic. I will say however I scored this one differently and gave Rodriguez rounds 1/2/5 and Holloway rounds 3/4. The fifth round was incredibly close but I felt Holloway took his foot off the pedal slightly whereas Rodriguez continued to go for gold.

The co-main was very quick work in the office after just 30 seconds, however herb Dean once again fucked up and kinda tainted the ending with his indecisiveness which for some reason he's been doing more and more recently.

Unbelievable knock out for Kaos Williams that man has some serious power.

We also got an unbelievable finish on the fight pass prelims with Rafael Alves getting a unbelievable finish which was almost a combination of a huge punch into a flying knee then a guillotine which just looked unbelievable

Great little fight night card overall the UFC continues its run of great shows

  4. I think out of everything the thing that has really irritated me the more I think about what went down on this ppv, after the fight had ended the ref stood between them thinking they would start throwing down post bell and Colby shakes his hand, hugs him and said he respected him and all this shit.

Then in the post fight press conference he pretty much denied any of that happened and went back to being a disrespectful cock ring but the damage was already done he had already exposed himself and his character completely.

Also on Twitter someone made a fucking world class point in a interview this week he called out his previous coaches and corner men for saying in between rounds breathe Colby breathe. He said that was stupid and a waste of time because he knows how to breathe he does it in his sleep, well guess what was said between rounds this fight.......the exact same fucking thing.

I don't mind being a character and cutting promos on everything and everyone around you but at the very least fucking remember the shit you have said 5 seconds before because otherwise you look like a fucking chump

Will be watching from midnight, that one hour earlier start time is a bloody godsend. Main should be finished by 4 hopefully if there are finishes.

I can't speak for the under card but this main card has big finishes written all over it. I can absolutely see the opening fight/co-main/main event ending in a finish.

yeh they are on iplayer too, just get iplayer when you get home and hit the 'play from start' button, dont miss the fireworks

Yeah the rugby club had horrendous wifi amongst other niggles so I ended up watching the main card this morning.

Its safe to say it wasn't a good night in the office for the Irish fighters topping the bill. Pitbull absolutely poured it on and got a massive knock out in the second round which was quite nasty.

I've read on here the dislike for Gallagher for whatever reason so you will all enjoy that fight also.

I might go back later on and watch the prelims but I just thought I would get the main card watched before browsing the net and getting shit spoiled for me

  7. I'm going to go with my heart on this one and say Colby to win......however my head is telling me usman is going to get the win again......

I just feel if Colby can get the win it will be way more exciting because where does usman go from here if he does win, he's pretty much cleared the entire division.

I'm also saying Thug rose knock out win and Chandler knock out win however that has fight of the year potentially written all over it.

I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of it was actually rushed & recorded recently after that live show went viral, Dad Vibes especially seems like a song made quickly after.

Quite the opposite dude they have been putting this album together for the past 7 years or so. A couple of years ago they bought in oli sykes and Jordan fish from bring me the horizon to help work on it and produce it however they quit the project a month or so in because it just wasn't working.

I will agree a couple of the songs do dip in quality somewhat but I would say more that 3 quarters of the album are really good and quality outings

  9. You make a really good and valid point on the subject of St Denis corner having alot to answer for after what took place, I just rewatched the second and third round with my fiance and I spotted it last night but when he gets back to his corner and sits on the stool, his coaches are talking to him and his eyes are horrifically glazed over, you can tell he's trying to listen but he is not at all in the room. It's really really scary to be honest.

Also I watched the post fight interview with Dos santos and he said from the judges scorecards they didn't deduct the point the referee bizarrely tried to take away. When the fucking judges aren't listening to the ref's decisions you know there have been some major fuck up's

I just gave that new Limp Bizkit record a go and for an album that was nearly ten years in the making it sounds half finished. None of the tracks sound finished. Most of them sound like half finished 2-minute long demos. Also, considering the album is only just over 30 minutes long, there isn't half some filler on it wether it be skits or just minute and a half acoustic bits.

For me it falls into the trope of pretty much all Limp Bizkit's stuff - potentially great tracks ruined by Fred Durst. There are some absolute stonking riffs on it (on the songs that actually sound like full songs, anyway) with Fred's vocals seemingly tacked onto the end. Apparently all the music was written and recorded by 2017 and the last four years have been Fred recording his vocals, chucking them away, re-recording, over and over, so if this is what the final versions of the vocals sounds like, I'd hate to hear what some of the early versions were.

Do yourself a favour and listen to the opening track then turn it off and pretend the whole album sounds like that. It starts off so well then goes downhill as the record goes on. There are some flashes of brilliance later on - mainly the guitar riffs - but they're so fleeting that it's not worth slogging through the mud to get to them.

I give it two chocolate starfishes out of five.

Dude I couldn't disagree more with this review respectfully may I add. I think this album is a fantastic return after 10 long long years away and for me there last album gold cobra was really disappointing and underwhelming.

The opening 2 tracks are absolute ragers, I don't like dad vibes as a single or song and I will admit it does dip slightly in the middle but you bring out the worst in me and love the hate are hilarious and quite heavy tracks.

What I will say is on some of the songs Fred's vocals are drowned in effects in a way that sounds overkill because you know if they play them live there is no way they can have those sort of effects in a live setting its the sort of stuff that can only be done in a studio so that is disappointing.

However I think they have gone really heavy on more tracks than previous limp bizkit albums.

Personally I give it a strong 8 out of 10.

  11. Well today I achieved a new first in regards to watching a UFC event, I got through the prelims and main card in just over a hour.

In terms of absolute dud cards this definitely is up there.

The main event was extremely boring and uneventful, Which is a shame when you factor in that Santos was main eventing a PPV not too long ago going for the title.
Both guys just didn't get out of first gear and that never makes a exciting fight but what really made me giggle was commentary as it started said don't expect this to go a full 5 rounds, Then it ended up being a total snooze fest.

The co-main was actually really disappointing with what went down. Holland is really fucking likeable man and he was having fun in there, talking to DC and answering his comments from the other side of the cage. Then the ref split them up and it just got really sad and uncomfortable.
That clash of heads was one of the worst personally I've seen because Holland was OUT, His eyes rolled to the back of his head and he landed on his face but somehow managed to scramble to his back and defend whilst coming back round only to end up getting put back to sleep almost with the rear naked choke. He essentially got put unconscious twice in the space of 2 minutes which is never nice too see no matter what fighter it is that is subject to something like that.

However I'm interested too genuinely hear people's thoughts on the situation that transpired after. I think it's a difficult one either way HOWEVER the ref allowed the fight to continue as holland was still defending and subsequently Daukaus worked to get the submission win. For it to be eventually made a no contest I think is the worst outcome overall because now both fighters don't get a full wage because of that decision, Daukaus doesn't get a win bonus and holland who like I said above got put too sleep twice in 2 minutes won't be paid accordingly for having to go through that and I think in the end the only side that wins is the UFC.
They did agree to run it back as soon as they can and I think that's the only reasonable thing to do here but yeah as a whole it started really fun and potentially exciting but ended in a really shitty way which meant the Main & Co-Main ended up being utter flops.

The Oliviera vs Price fight was also not what I expected. I expected this one to be quite intense and interesting but it just wasn't but Price gets the unanimous judges decision.

While the discussion gets brought up quite alot and I understand they always want to stack PPV/Numbered shows to a ridiculous level, I can't see a good reason why they don't take 1 or 2 lower down on the main card fights and put them Co-main/Main event on a fight night card and try and make it slightly more enticing to watch them live. While we have had a handful of impressive Fight night cards over the past 12 months or so for the most part they are regularly 2/3 interesting fights out of the lot and that personally isn't enough to make me want to stay up till 3/4 AM to watch live.

  12. I watched the main event of this this morning when I woke up and I didn't have high expectations going in from everyone's comments about Phil Davis ext but I think he went in here and absolutely showed yoel up in a huge way.

Yoel was obviously coming in making his debut for bellator and everyone was saying it was almost a dead cert he was going to win but I was shocked at how bad yoel looked man. He never got slightly out of first gear and when it came to the middle of the second round and definitely in the third Davis knew exactly what he needed to do and figured out what he had to do going forward and just dominated him completely through the third round.

I was very very shocked at one of the judges scoring it for yoel even the commentators said they hadn't a clue how they scored that as it was fairly obvious it was a unanimous decision for davis but the real shocker was post fight when yoel was screaming saying he thought it was a 5 round fight??!! How fucking little research has he done into the company he now works for to not know that every fight is 3 rounds unless it's a title fight.

No fucking way that's insane. Why would anyone do this at a show they have paid money to be at? Even if it was just beer it was uncalled for and unnecessary.

As if hed pe were the main support for it too they always seem to be over here in the uk. I think they did like 4 tours in the space of 16 months a few years ago. I've been offered a date on 2 of their previous tours but they don't seem worth the gamble for a band that are always playing over here.

Moving away from the gig self promotion, Saliva, yes that one, are touring in Feb next year.

Minus Josey Scott, and probably everyone else too, it is another chance to see a nu metal band in a pub, yay!

Awfully tempting after seeing Crazy Town a few years ago and the mess that was Alien Ant Farm's gig in Preston too.

Where abouts did alien ant farm play in preston? I worked with crazy town a few times including their show in preston about 5 years ago I believe they played at a pub called ships and giggles

Is it still classed as doing well in your career when you're the one booking the shows and you put yourself on the bill?

Yeah man it's absolutely classed as doing well because while you're absolutely correct I did put on the show In question however I had absolutely 0 say on any of the opening acts whatsoever. The choice and opportunity was asked of me by both strange bones and calva louise as it was their hometown album release show and they wanted a full hometown bill and they offered me the spot. I didn't at all book myself on it.

So yes it was even more of a huge achievement for me to not only put on such a successful show with 2 really big up and coming bands one of which headlined the BBC introducing stage at reading and leeds the week after and both bands are playing a festival In the Czech Republic next year with fall out boy and Weezer. So all in all I'm incredibly proud of it dude
