  1. I've no problems with Owens having flashy moves. He is what he is. He just wants to win. And he considers himself to be better than everyone else so he goes out there and shows it. His personality is what gets him over as a heel. Just so happens people enjoy his heel act rather than get bored of it like Rollins/Authority etc.

  2.

She needs locking in a room with Vader tapes for six months until she understands what aggression is. Also, while I can't actually think of a "better" look I'd go with, I hate her current ring gear. She looks like a Space Empress from a 70s sci-fi film who's lost her shiny helmet. She looks like she's dressed to go to a Comic Con event, not about to have a fight! The current stuff is slightly better than the Evil Teletubby outfit she debuted with, but it still really needs sorting out.

I was thinking about this, and I think I'd go with something a bit more akin to what the had for Awesome Kong/Kharma. Go a bit more Mad Max (which is what I suppose they've attempted), but maybe more The Road Warrior than Tina Turner. If she could get the aggression down she could be a huge deal, but I can't see it in the near future.

Oh, and fucking hell her music is so irritating, and in no way intimidating, which for a big dominating lass would be what you want surely?

Yeah I remember her waiting for her music on Breaking Ground and oddly she seemed okay with it. I would have gone back and said no thanks.

  3. Nia doesn't have a character. She's only ever been sold as someone bigger than your average woman, and we're supposed to buy into her dominance.

Sadly, it doesn't really work. She doesn't look intimidating for a start. She doesn't carry herself like she's unstoppable. She isn't that good in the ring. She has no personality either.

  4. AJ's a difficult one. I suppose a lot of the crowd doesn't actually know how to react to him.

He's a new guy, he's not exactly the clearcut babyface in the role or anything either. Until they make it clear one way or the other, I imagine the crowds will continue to be split.

    It's no bad thing really.

Plus some crowds are just shit anyway.

  5. Pitcos's post on the previous page is right on the money. I don't understand DavidB's complaint that it's a development system so established guys should be kept away. Total contradiction there. The best way for the younger guys to learn is to have them going out there with people who've been around the block on WWE's main shows.

They have plenty of people actually working in NXT like Regal etc that they can learn from. I don't really want to see the brand turn into Raw-lite or anything.

It's not a contradiction - more personal choice. I have no interest whatsoever in seeing Sheamus or Ziggler or whoever turning up when I find them fast forward material on the main shows as it is. I love NXT as something different with new faces or under-utilised main roster talent. That's why I didn't really have a problem with guys like Kidd turning up. Same with Cesaro at the time, or Axel etc. They're experienced solid guys but not over-exposed on the main roster.

Maybe it would work. It's just not something I've personally been thinking is missing or that they should be doing. It almost goes against what the brand stands for and what the fans love about it currently.

  6. NXT still needs to be development and I'd hate to see it flooded with main roster guys that have already made it. Especially guys like Sheamus and Ziggler. If there's someone that could benefit from dropping off the roster and getting some exposure and character work then im all for it. I watch it for an alternative to the main product. Even Curtis Axel was doing a fairly decent job in NXT at one point.

  7. Line of Duty Season 3. Better than The Wire.

    There, I said it.

Fucking tremendous viewing. My pots were absolutely shattered for that last half hour...and even though she looks like Cillian Murphy; Vicky McClure - til I needed ice pop sticks to keep it up.

So glad you enjoyed it. I haven't watched a series of a show in so long that has gripped me from start to finish like that.

Such an unpredictable start, amazing twists and turns along the way, and a fucking incredible finale that was so dialogue heavy yet I couldn't keep my eyes off it. Then it went all 24 if Jack Bauer was a woman and I loved it.
