  1. Ba-dum-dum-dish

You must have a different batch from what to have. I just ordered it this week and all spelt correctly. Whilst it's a great set overall, have they tripped over themselves calling it a 'never-before-released' set? The majority are but:

Vs. Diesal at King Of The Ring 94

Vs. Jean Pierre LaFitte at IYH 3

Vs. The Patriot at IYH: Ground Zero

    Vs. Sting at WCW Mayhem

All released on each events respective home video release. Unless they're referring to compilations specifically

  2. Benedict Cumberbatch has officially joined Marvel Studio’s “Doctor Strange,” the company said Thursday.

The actor will play neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions and becomes the next Sorcerer Supreme and primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. Marvel Comics vets Stan Lee and Steve Ditko co-created the character in 1963.

Cumberbatch’s casting had been in the works since October.

Scott Derrickson is directing the film, to be released Nov. 4, 2016, as part of Marvel’s phase three of superhero movies. Jon Spaihts is writing the script.

“Stephen Strange’s story requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity,” said Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. “In 2016 Benedict will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character.”

Feige has long wanted the Doctor Strange character to star in his own solo film as a way to make a movie about magic the way “Guardians of the Galaxy” pushes the Marvel movie world into the sci-fi and space genre and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” into political thrillers.

Marvel had been in negotiations with Joaquin Phoenix to take the role but couldn’t reach a deal because of the number of films the thesp would have to agree to make.

  3. I don't think Bloodstock are thinking of competing with Download anytime soon. Sonisphere seem to be struggling to do that and they've got a lot more money behind them.

End of the day there will be at least one other band to see at the same time on the second stage at Bloodstock. If you don't want to watch Trivium, don't watch them. It's not like your being held at gunpoint.

The organisor's are focused on booking a band that is going to shift a certain of tickets, and they have that in Trivium and Rob Zombie for that matter. Obviously they're not shifting tens of thousands of tickets but they will sell enough to make it worthwhile putting on the festival.

It's just another example of people moaning for the sake of it. I'd love to know who they think should be headlining Bloodstock

  4. Mixed feelings about the Trivium announcement. I like the band and last time I saw them. (2012) they were spot on, but I can see why there is online uproar also. Obviously not BROOOTAL or TRUE enough for Bloodstock.

Having said that, it's another example of the festivals growth in terms of the acts they can attract

  5. An angry former Slipknot roadie has unmasked the band’s new drummer as Jay Weinberg and their bassist as Allessandro ‘Vman’ Venturella.

The band had said they might never confirm the identities of the men who were brought in to work on latest album .5: The Gray Chapter. The lineup changes followed the death of founding bassist Paul Gray 2010 and the dismissal of drummer Joey Jordison last year.

But drum tech Norm Costa, who’s worked with Slayer, Mastodon and others before being hired then fired by Slipknot recently, last night posted a picture of a tour itinerary on Instagram. It names Weinberg and Venturella as members of the band alongside Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn Crahan, Mick Thomson and Corey Taylor.

Costa tagged the image “#blowitup #fuckslipknot.” It followed the posting of Weinberg’s drumkit seen from backstage, which had been tagged “#jayweinberg #slipknot #newdrummer #fuckslipknot.”

Responding to a comment from a follower asking whether he was working with Weinberg, the roadie replied: "I was, no longer." Responding to another follower, he wrote: "Should have stayed with Mastodon though – a real band!"

Weinberg, the son of Bruce Springsteen's drummer Jay, had been named in September after former colleague Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! tweeted: “Dear Slipknot, good luck with that. #shitbag.”

Fans identified Venturello from his distinctive hand tattoos after seeing the video for The Devil In I. Frontman Taylor later laughed it off, saying: “I was like, ‘Why didn’t we make him wear gloves?’ I was so upset.”

So yeah, it's all official now

  6. Yeah, the Wyatts/Shield from Elimination Chamber is a belter. They also had a great match on Main Event, think it was around the end of March.

Bryan/HHH from Wrestlemania is great. Punk/Cena from Money In The Bank is great and the crowd pop at the end is fantastic. Personally, I really enjoyed their match from Night of Champions 2012 which was only let down by a daft draw finish

  7.

who do you put against Lesnar otherwise.

Mensa had a little lamb - Erick Rowan!
You nob head! Now I'm going to be bloody gutted when that doesn't happen.

Same here! Just give them 5 minutes to knock seven shades out of each other. Rowan stiffs him with that spin kick, Brock can F5 him into oblivion, well worth the money

  8. Full article from Variety:

Jared Leto, Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne will make up the all-star cast of Warner Bros.’ supervillain tentpole “Suicide Squad,” it was announced on Tuesday.

Based on the DC comicbook, the story centers on the team of supervillains who are given a chance at redemption by the government. The catch: Their mission will probably kill them all.

The actors’ names had long been rumored for the high-profile movie, which opens Aug. 5, 2016, but their deals and characters hadn’t been finalized.

    Here’s the official cast/character list:

    Jared Leto – The Joker

    Will Smith – Deadshot

    Tom Hardy – Rick Flag

    Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn

    Jai Courtney – Boomerang

    Cara Delevingne – Enchantress

“Suicide Squad,” directed by David Ayer and produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle, will begin shooting next April in Toronto.

According to insiders, Jesse Eisenberg is also in talks to play Lex Luthor in the film, a role he will first play in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” though the status of his deal is unknown.

“The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one,” Warner Bros. president Greg Silverman said in a statement. “We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under David Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”

Warners has long viewed this project as the “Ocean’s Eleven” of comicbook movies and has been looking to load up the roster with top tier talent.

Warners still has the role of Amanda Waller, the character who oversees the team (similar to Nick Fury in the Marvel universe), to cast before the film goes into production. The studio’s shortlist of actresses being eyed for the role includes Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Oprah Winfrey, whom sources say would be WB’s first choice for the part.

Leto, who is making his first pic since winning the Oscar for “Dallas Buyers Club,” is repped by CAA and Untitled.

Smith can be seen next in Warner Bros.’ “Focus” which also stars Robbie. Both are reppped by CAA, with Robbie also repped by Management 360 and Aran Michael Management, and Smith repped by Overbrook Entertainment.

Hardy is currently filming “The Revenant” opposite Leonardo DiCaprio which bows next Christmas. He is repped by CAA.

The WME-repped Delevingne, an English model-turned-actress, can next be seen in Warner Bros.’ “Pan.”

Courtney appears in the upcoming “Terminator” reboot as well as Universal’s “Unbroken” and Lionsgate’s “Insurgent,” and is repped by UTA and Silver Lining Entertainment.

    AGH! JAI FUCKING COURTNEY!

And Tom Hardy is going to be in a franchise reboot as a different character since first appearing? Seems odd, as fanboys will only see him as Bane the way they only see Bale as Batman.

Having said that, Chris Evans has played both Human Torch (when FF was a stand alone set of movies) and Captain America (when they went all Marvel Extended Universe), so can only assume that's what we're getting with Hardy here

  9. Plus having him go through the table this week gives them ammunition to say "if that happens again, Cena loses his title shot". I'm pulling for a Seth win (mainly cos I want to see Cena break the table with his face again like he did last year), but can't see them having Cena lose his title shot as who do you put against Lesnar otherwise.

  10. - The Commercial Appeal of Memphis spoke with WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler at the annual Memphis Comic and Fantasy Convention last weekend.

Lawler confirmed that WWE is working on a DVD project for him. He said:

"They’ve just finished interviewing Lance Russell, Bill Dundee and Jerry Jarrett, so it’s not too far down the road. It’ll be big matches, a retrospective of my entire career. It’ll go all the way (from) the Memphis days up to the WWE days."

Interesting to see what Memphis matches they manage to get hold of, seen as no-one seems to be sure who owns what from the library

  11. It's a lot better than it looks. The GIF i found is from an awkward angle and is slightly choppy. It usually comes across as pretty devasting, especially when done to lighter guys. The over-the-top japenese commentary adds to the impact as well.

The one he hits on Tyson Kidd on this weeks NXT looked much better. Is that Lance Hoyt he's hitting it on in the gif?

  12. Jesus Christ, so that's twice in a couple of weeks now? I'm not making out that Styles is dangerous or anything but just drop the dam thing. Kazarian. Keenan, Lionheart, Tatsu and Kojima. 5 people who've been seriously hurt taking that move. I'm saying it's one persons fault over the other and obviously pro-wrestling is a risk whenever you go to the ring, but he needs to have a serious think before he uses it again
