Anyone a bit anxious about been able to get tickets for this or is all this 'record breaking pre sale registration record' etc stuff all to hype it up ?

Think it depends what kind of tickets you're after really. The best tickets? Think those will all go double fast. But doubt anyone wanting to attend will struggle to find a ticket right up until the event. And obviously there'll be people selling on tickets when they can't go or change their minds.

  2. So i just loaded the game and it told me it couldn't find the Immortal Pack DLC, would i like to start the game without it or something. So i said yes. Then once it loaded it was like the first time i played it, had to agree to the terms of online, it asked if i wanted to do the tutorial, all the little guide info bits popping up in every section. My MyGM saves are still there, the Immortal Pack DLC is there too. I hadn't start MyRise or Showcase yet, so that's no biggie. But i have lost the 7 custom belts i'd designed, and the 50-55 custom logos i'd uploaded and downloaded into the game. I didn't have any CAWs, and that's all the custom content i had. So i'm really confused as to why the hell i've had an issue when i heard save issue were supposed to be linked to large numbers of custom logos. Luckily i'd uploaded 4 of the belts to community creations, so i can get those back.

Speaking of CC, i had an issue last week where out of the 4 belts i uploaded, only 3 would show in uploads. So i assumed the fourth never uploaded. That is until i found 4 uploads for it on CC with my username, so it was my belt and clearly it did upload each time i tried it. So now i have 7 uploads on CC and the uploads section of my save is empty. Hope they get this fixed soon, as now i'm just gonna stick to MyFaction as it's the only game mode i know my data is actually safe in.

  3. Odd request, but i recently showed my daughter some poor uploads of Gladiators on youtube, then Battle Dome. And she loved them. So looking to source more, just not sure what's out there for either. Posting here as i figure if any fans are going to have them it will be wrestling fans, and there was that WCW tie in with Battle Dome.

I loved the New Japan (or WSW) on Eurosport days. Especially the crap made up names like it was WCW vs The World on the PS1. I remember Dave Finlay was Dave Fendi, Brad Rheingans was Brad Lengan etc. I’d never seen any Japanese wrestling before and was only familiar with the guys who’d shown up in WCW in the early 90s like Muta, Chono, Hashimoto, Sasaki etc. But you never knew who was gonna pop up on there from week to week. Seeing the likes of Vader, the Steiners, Hogan, Benoit, Savio Vega as TNT and fucking Nailz on there was mind blowing for me at the time. Plus Gordon Solie on commentary for a bit with Humperdink before someone who I’m forgetting replaced him.

Was much of this recorded by anyone and out there in circulation?

First episode on Channel 4 was definitely the 9 January show.  I'm almost certain that the December episodes never aired in the UK either.

I wasn't 100% certain, as memory is a little foggy since those days haha. So I figured if I posted the full list I'd be corrected if need be. Good news though, only 2 to source. At some stage I'll source 'WCW: The Batman Years' from Channel 5.

  6. Odd one. But I'm curious as to what thickness the plates are on the old 90s WWF title belts. I see a lot of replicas around and those vary in thickness (4mm, 6mm, 8mm). And the Euroshop replicas are awful and not thick at all. Just curious how the thickness of all these compares to the real deal belts.

I suppose it was only a matter of time before these type of things started appearing, this one has been started by Erin Angel.

I wonder how many will sign up? Do you get a wristband?

    Pro Wrestling Association

I mean while i appreciate DBS checks would be a positive, as better than not having them, they wouldn't have prevented most of the abuse that has taken place. As for those to flag anyone they need to have something on their record, be it a charge, conviction, or investigation. To the best oy knowledge Ligero, one of the worst, didn't have any such things on his record and would not have been flagged at all. Same with David Starr i believe. A check every 3 years is hardly protecting anyone either, what if someone gets accused of something and police investigate, but bring no charges, a month into their membership to this? That's 2 years and 11 months left of having this membership and it not getting flagged. I appreciate people trying for a safer workplace, and DBS checks ae useful. But basing the whole 'safer environment' around something like this, or the Wrestling CRB thing TNT Wrestling are now saying they are using, isn't nearly enough.

  8. That would be great. What format are they in please? I couldnt find any info on an upgraded 98 set when I looked around, so trying to swap put my bad ones. Next up I need to source a 99 set. Me and my Mrs are working our way through the Monday Night Wars. She wanted to check out the Attitude Era, but I always felt the rise of Austin in 96, the evolution of Rocky Maivia, and the Hart Foundation stuff etc was a big precursor to all of that. I haven't watched Nitro. years, so we are watching both promotions week to week. Good times! Haha

  9. Looking for the episodes of WCW Nitro from 1998, only interested in legit broadcast versions as i already have a network subscription.

    5 January - i'm missing entirely.

17 August - Mine has the ending cut off.

28 September - Mine has the ending cut off.

  10. I'm still getting the feeling this "Greatest Wrestling Match Ever" is going to be some kind of cinematic heavily edited effort. I mean Mania had the Boneyard and Funhouse matches, Money in the Bank had that weird ladder match, then Takeover had the Backlot Brawl. Them doing the whole thing like it's an epic movie scene (thinking Rocky meets The Wrestler), with flashbacks edited in, seems like something they'd give that tag to. I mean they could put on the the best match ever, but with no crowd it will always fall short given how much a crowd makes a moment. So the movie approach means they can create something unique and dramatic. I mean i could be way off the mark too, i just get the feeling its not going to be a straight up match given how strongly they've pushed the naming of it.
