I'm not sure I agree with that, and I'm completely ignoring the press conference and subsequent brawl when I say that. His posts on social media, to me, show staggeringly bad judgement. I think people would have gotten over the original incident in isolation, but all of the other incidents have surely chipped away at the goodwill and forgiveness people might otherwise have shown him. I think there's every chance he'll lose his rag at the crowd if he gets a negative reaction.

The piss being boiled over the social media posts genuinely baffles me. The one about Moxley and the Rocky storyline was absolutely poor judgement, but it really wasn’t that bad was it? It was a whiny fucker whining, but that’s the extent of it. Wrestlers whinge on the socials every day. Have I missed him post something completely unforgivable?

  2. Am I missing something, or is this all genuinely over a couple of relatively harmless Instagram stories? And a dirt sheet rumour that he wants his bitey mate back?

He’s also kicked off again about unqualified people being in roles they shouldn’t.

By “kicked off”, I hope you’re referring to this because lmao:

  3. That was a shit show. I kept getting to number 1 in the queue, only to be met with a "something went wrong, try again later" message.

I eventually got through but could only get seats in the 500s sections. My mate ended up getting block 507 row 1 for the two of us which I'm reasonably happy with, albeit much higher up than we were hoping for. ÂŁ29 instead of the ÂŁ100 odd I was expecting though, so swings and roundabouts.

I mean, he literally called Colt Cabana by his real name in the scrum after All Out that caused all the problems. But that's just off the top of my head.

That’s hardly a worked-shoot promo though. Those scrums are not even remotely kayfabe or part of the show. That’s not just limited to AEW either, just a few weeks ago Triple H was talking openly about why they decided against Cody winning.

I suspect there are other examples. In fairness, I think it's just shorthand for him doing a bit of "shooty bollocks" with his promos which is definitely something tiresome he has done for a long time and with reasonable frequency.

We probably have different ideas on what constitutes “shooty bollocks” to be honest. I wouldn’t necessarily consider it worked-shooty if the content makes sense in the story they’re telling.

and we can look forward to him calling everyone by their shoot names in agonising worked-shoots promos that go on for hours.

Are there any examples of that happening outside of the pipebomb and the “this is Phil Brooks talking to Paul Levesque” one a few weeks later? I see this sort of sentiment around Punk quite a lot and perhaps I’m missing some examples but he hasn’t done it often, has he?

  6. Punk wrestled full time for a year and in that time had two injuries, one of which from jumping into the crowd like an idiot. The way people talk about his injury record you’d swear he was getting injured every other week.

Vickie has responded in arguably the worst way she could. What a nightmare.

This is absolutely fucking horrendous, what a horrible cunt. The bit about the guys being in her room is truly difficult to read.

  8. Just bumping this with my own recent bollock related scare. Quite honestly I’m still stressed as a motherfucker but I think I’m in the clear.

About 6 weeks ago I noticed a mild ache in my groin area. Ache probably isn’t even the correct word because there was no pain, but I was just very aware of a sensation downstairs. Had a fondle around and, to my horror, found a lump.

I immediately contacted the GP but I didn’t want to fuck about with the wait for an appointment so I took money out of savings for a private ultrasound the next day. Fortunately, the doctor ruled out anything cancerous pretty much as soon as the machine touched my bollock. He couldn’t actually find the lump, but mentioned that my veins are slightly enlarged which could be causing it. Anyway, I pretty much forgot about it and the sensation I was feeling in that area disappeared after a few days.

Cut to this time last week and I noticed the lump again whilst I was in the shower, and I realised how much more prominent it was whilst showering, but would pretty much shrink as soon as I was out. I’ve been a bit of a mess mentally since and can’t stop prodding it, and the ache has returned which is now radiating down my leg.

I’ve spoken to two GPs (my regular one and somebody through my work’s health insurance) and they’re both very certain that the initial ultrasound would have picked up anything concerning, and they both reckon it’s a varicocele or the regular tubes or something, but I just cannot shake the overall sense of dread. I think I would have been fine if the dude giving me the ultrasound was able to identify whatever it is, but the fact he couldn’t see any specific lump is what’s causing the anxiety, I don’t think I’ll be able to relax until I have an official diagnosis.

Anyway, not entirely sure what the point of this post is other than to just express my feelings on it. Check your balls, lads!

  9. Aside from the shambles of an ending, perhaps I’m being dramatic but the sheer amount of ads and video packages ruined the show for me. I don’t watch Raw or Smackdown outside of clips I seek out on Twitter, yet somehow I feel like I saw every single video package at least 3 times before they showed it before the match in question.

Also, whilst I feel for poor Shane, whoever suggested him vs Miz deserves to be sacked.

I can’t see wwe touching him, imagine he went off on one and cost them a sponsorship or tv deal? Far too volatile for modern wwe to risk

Imagine being a sponsor and you’re fine with the company being run by an alleged rapist, but you draw the line at CM Punk having a whinge about a few people at a press conference.

  11. He’s very clearly a reactionary dickhead who flies off the handle at a moment’s notice and would benefit from counting to 10 before speaking, but I don’t think he’s wrong in that recent Instagram post. One of his biggest issues with WWE was rushing him back before full fitness, and now AEW appear to have done the same thing.

Everybody involved in this is a petty child, but Jericho is clearly the biggest shit stirrer of the lot.

As well as the sub par booking the turn off for me with AEW for the last couple of years has been their fanbase and the likes of Meltzer & Alvarez not reviewing things objectively.

I can’t think of a more depressing way to determine your enjoyment of wrestling than this.

  13. Apologies for dragging this out even further, it’s probably boring as fuck at this point, but apart from Kfrogg has anybody on here actually suggested they want to see Cody booed out of protest? Christ, I browse twitter and Reddit, and I don’t even think I’ve seen that sentiment on either of those. Reading some responses on here, anyone would swear it’s like Bryan in 2014. It’s not.

I think the point I’m trying to make is that, as part of my viewing experience as a fan I like to think about the future, and seeing stars created who’ll take the company forward.

That’s not how it’s coming across though. Honestly, I’m genuinely pleased for you that you’re excited by Cody’s coronation as The Guy, and I absolutely get where you’re coming from as it’s natural to be excited by the emergence of a new top star, but the feeling I’m getting reading your posts is that we’re in the wrong for wanting them to go in a different direction.

Again, apologies if I’m misreading this in any way, but please let’s not confuse “ah I wish it was Sami instead” for “Cody doesn’t deserve this, I’m going to boo him and ruin it!”.

Like, I don’t know how many more lights need to flash on the internets dashboard before people realise that they absolutely consider Cody able to live amongst the upper echelon’s of their talent roster.

dAz, I genuinely don’t understand what point you keep trying to make with the Cody stuff. As FUM has said a few times, absolutely nobody is saying Cody shouldn’t be a top guy. I’ve mentioned previously that I’m not really a fan of his, but even I’m not blinkered enough to suggest he’s not main event material.

But what I’m struggling with the most, and please correct me if I’m wrong here, it seems like you’re saying we should all be fine with the Cody match because that’s the big Wrestlemania plan and it’ll be grand because he’ll come out the other side as a massive star.

The thing is though, why would I care about that? As a viewer, why should I put aside my feelings on the Sami storyline just because WWE have decided Cody is the next tippy top guy? I get no real viewing pleasure from a guy I don’t particularly like being the top star, and I’m not a shareholder so I don’t benefit financially, so why wouldn’t I (and many others) express our disappointment a match we consider to be the hottest match they can do isn’t main eventing the big show?

It’s only the bigger story because they keep telling us it’s the bigger story. There’s fuck all heat between Cody and Roman. Will it be a good match? Yeah probably. Will it be a great moment when he wins the belt? Yep. In my opinion, from the perspective of a fan, would it be better if it were Sami? Undoubtedly.

(Apologies if this is rambly, I’ve had some wines and it’s taken me ages to word this).

I absolutely adore everything with Sami its absolute money. My favourite thing in wrestling.

However,  if you genuinely think his rise is a bigger story than Stardust leaving,  building a whole PROMOTION around him and becoming the star he believes he was. Then going on to win the title that  alluded his dad?  I don't know what to tell you.

It might not necessary be a bigger story (although I’m not entirely sure how to gauge that), but to me it’s the more entertaining story, and the one I’m more invested in by far.

  17. Delilah hasn’t been part of the half-time playlist at the Millennium since 2015 and nobody was any the wiser. I dare say the timing of a statement like this is more to do with the recent misogyny scandal, because why make actual meaningful change when you can just announce a choir are no longer singing a song? The WRU have ended sexism!

Good riddance, anyway. I hate it.

  18. I think my biggest issue with Sami getting the Roman match at Elimination Chamber rather than Wrestlemania is that the outcome is now fairly obvious. There’s just absolutely no way Sami is winning that match, whereas I wouldn’t be so sure at Mania. Yeah, I’m sure it’ll still be immense at EC, but I don’t think I’ll be quite as invested.

Sounds like some Jay from the Inbetweeners level of bullshit. 6 seconds my arse.

Out of interest, why do you find that so hard to believe? It’s a video game, it’s not like he’s saying he made his mate tap out in real life, or had an orgy with an entire Belgian hockey team or something equally Jay-esque.
