The girl with Aphasia was so bloody cute. Her little utterances reminded me of the strange girl from The Breakfast Club.

The more I hear from Helms, the more I think the guy would be awful to get on with. Anyone else?
-
It warms my heart to know Glen Jacobs can walk around looking like a normal (giant) human being again after years of walking around looking like he did when Kane was unmasked.
Â
Â
I really hope he writes a book at some point.

Zbyszko = awesome

Nah I think it's a case of less is more. A guy just walking around with guns in his hand seems dangerous, but then giving them up to a mere referee takes that all away as he's adhering to rules.
-
Can Ki and NJPW get away with that, legally?
Â
Doesn't it look a bit silly coming to the ring with guns, looking tough, but then having to give them up to the ref and wrestle?
-
It's really funny when Taz rips into Tod for simply doing his job and researching the wrestlers.
-
What's the story behind the guns?

Poster for Elimination Chamber. Click if you dare.

He's the current X division champ, right?

Says it all.

BBC2, though it clashes with Bootcamp. Sky+ for me.

Possibly. Shame, as I really liked Curtis since his AOW interview. There is something really punchable about Maddox which is something you don't find too often in the people who are meant to be eliciting that kind of response.

Vince must seriously love him. I can just imagine that laugh when he heard about the gimmick, like when Droz pukes on his desk in Beyond the Mat. Every fibre in Vince's body must be stopping him from telling the PG-friendly sponsors where to go, just to put that gimmick on TV weekly.

Kazarian doing an AJ impression was so, so good this week on Impact.

Whenever Punk and Mr 1859 are on for the intro, it's gold. They were on the intro this week, and Punk alluding to Flo Rida being on steroids was hilarious, as was coming up with rapper names based on states

'TIME TO DIIIIIEEEEE'.

I always got the sense that Colt wasn't great or had a lot of confidence issues when it came to women, so that surprises me that he's attempted Isis.
Â
EDIT: Is next week's a full episode with Punk and Cliff, because all I've seen on Twitter seems to suggest Colt was talking about the intro to this week's ep featuring Cliff and Punk.

When I was younger I had the first season of the Spider-Man cartoon on various VHSs. This is the one that ran from 94-98 (I think). Anyway, I only ever saw that first series, as I didn't have Sky, so didn't get to watch Fox Kids. So I've found myself blasting through the other four seasons this Christmas. Episodes are just about 20 mins so it's easy to watch another, and there are season-long story arcs, like Spider-Man going to Russia to find out about his parents' origins and ties to a Doomsday device. So yeah.....

I'm another on the Maddox bandwagon. That first promo he cut to explain why he screwed over Ryback was surprisingly fine to good. His YouTube stuff has those small things which isn't the humour that WWE goes for. I think it was someone on here that compared him to Mac from Always Sunny, and I totally see it. I also see what the person above me posted about him a prime candidate to film the divas on the sly. In the second BME video he posted, he's not meant to be backstage and he bumps into Yoshi, whose confused to see him; his 'I back' cracked me up, as did him sat in Vickie's chair.

Without getting too far ahead of ourselves, can you imagine saying in 2006 that there was a possibility that Bryan Danielson and John Cena might be brothers in law.
-
Superb.
-
^ This. His dad also seems massively up for anything and super enthusiastic whenever they use him, so an Xmas dinner with him involved would be a hoot too.
Â
And also, I take it Cena and his wife HAVE split up then? Last I heard, they had reconciled but apparently not anymore.
-
heatthing.com has been tweeted about by a bunch of bands who are known to be friends with Brand New, prompting talk that new material (or at the very least a side project) is on the horizon. A nice little early Xmas gift for me, if true.

I thought Ricardo would have been the key to the face turn, with Del Rio developing an affection for him and standing up for him against heels. I know that was how they presented it on the TLC PPV when ADR made the save but it should be an ongoing thing, at least as they establish him as a face. Maybe have ADR cut a promo about how his parents were killed by a mugger as a child, and Ricardo has been looking after him. Also, ADR is Batman.

Isn't Jack Whitehall a fan? I remember him on a panel show trying to explain it, and then he "wrestled" the Blossom Twins on that sports show on Sky One a few weeks back.
Â
Â
BTW listened to the first ep, really enjoyable and it fills a nice niche. Keep up the good work

That's an excellent idea for a podcast. It's always cool to find out that someone you've seen on TV on and off for years is actually a fan. Was it Kieron Dyer who was on a tv show a few years ago where he talked about being a wrestling fan, and specifically lusting over Torrie Wilson? Think he was shown going to a house show too.
What have you been watching on (proper scripted) telly?
