They fucked up the SCSA podcast today, seem's like they have now uploaded tthe right version with everything in the correct order. Confused the shit out of me when I went back to the site to finish the show and it was different.
Â
Yeah same here. Shame because I thought Eric was brilliant on both. That dirty laugh of his haha

Tough Enough's coming back:
Â
During today's WWE's First Quarter Investors Conference Call, they were discussing ways that they will be adding content to the WWE Network. When they were listing new events (Monday Night Wars, a new season of Countdown) they listed "WWE Tough Enough". We'll have more on the story as it develops, but it sounds as if the show will be making a return via the WWE Network.Â
Â
Hopefully it sticks close to the format of the last season like Austin being involved, that was excellent. Perhaps they'll incorporate more of the performance centre in to it too, which would be no bad thing.
-
The title of Austin's most recent podcast is rather misleading I thought Undertaker was his guest when I first saw it.
Â
Same, a little disappointed when I started it. Kept forwarding through to get to Taker's part. Was thinking 'Christ, Austin won't let him get a word in!'

Question: Is Treme worth watching?
-
I actually almost missed my stop on the way to work this morning I was so engrossed in the Heyman episode. The finale to that phone call story slayed me as did Austin's response.
-
Around 11 IIRC, maybe a little earlier.
Â
Question: Listening to the Attitude Era podcast and they're up to Survivor Series 1999. They mention a segment from Raw around that time where DX pretend to rape Stephanie, only to reveal the next week that it was "only" a local college student.
Â
I have never heard of this pretty shocking-sounding segment (even for a company that has done necrophilia). Does anyone have a link to it?

So after Mania in New Orleans, me and some friends are heading to NYC. As well as doing some film/tv location spotting, we're thinking of visiting some wrestling sites in NYC lore. So far we have MSG, the old WWF New York location and the Hammerstein Ballroom/Manhattan Center. Anywhere else that I'm missing?
-
British wrestling is built on an intricate foundation of truth and lies. As long as Alex Shane doesn't mention WWE stealing his armband idea it should be a really interesting watch.
Â
What's that all about?
-
I watched the Michaels/Bret Beyond the Ring thing today and if I ever hear Shawn say "y'know" again it will be too soon. He doesn't come across as genuine at all, to me. Born again ones always strike be as a bit culty as well. "Before I was saved" and all that shit.
Y'know I also saw it and y'know it was a great 2 hour documentary, and y'know Bret came across as such an honest person. Sad to see him tear up quite a few times, you would think that he would not get so emotional about it anymore.
Â
I think Shawn does sound genuine, he is clearly embarrassed about his past and didn't open up too much about it due to the shame, also could be the reason why he kept saying y'know all the bloody time.
Â
Well worth a watch.
Â
Bret and Sammartino are excellent, I could hear them talk for hours. The way they tell a story and their clarity of recollection is incredible. Shawn on the other end...errr.
Â
Still, a really excellent DVD that.

Anyone been listening to the WWE podcasts with Renee? Decent interview with the Rhodes brothers on the most recent one.
Â
Â
Perfect compliment for my crush on Renee.
Â
Yeah, they've all been really good and will make a nice countdown to Mania. That story about Trips' entrance for 27 with the horse was just the kind of trivia I like. I'd really like them to have Kerwin Stifles (I think that's his name) or someone else who works in the production truck to talk about the production side of Mania over the years.

Watched Wolf of Wall Street on the weekend. Absolutely spectacular fun. 3 hours flew by and I wanted more. It's no Goodfellas but I can't wait to watch it again. Not sure if DiCaprio will get the Oscar, but Hill and Matthew McC were brilliant in their roles. The qualudes scene was hysterical. Fuck.
-
Just imagine what the crowd response in that last segment would look like at Mania in front of 80,000 fans in the superdome in a big match scenario.

I don't have any intention of listening to MLW because I thought Konnan was one of the worst wrestlers of all time so I sure as hell don't want to listen to him talk about something he was fucking crap at. But what exactly is the kind of stuff he goes on about, I've read references to his rants so often in this thread now.
Â
I've stopped listening to MLW. Court just comes off as really aloof and that kid who was a nerd at school but because he helped the bullies with their homework he was considered "safe" by them. Basically the Richard Hammond type as described by Stewart Lee. Konnan is horribly irgnorant. I've said it before but you can hear the other two sit in silence after he has said something dumb. He misses the point on so many subjects. And the constant weed references....he comes off as a 15 year old taking his first puff and thinking he's cool.
Â
The woman just doesn't fit in with the other guys.
Â
MSL is really the only one ai can tolerate.

That first X division match is still such great fun. It's maybe 4 mins in length and crammed full of spots one after the other.
-
Yeah I was pretty surprised to hear he had watched that. It's pretty cool that someone like him, who rose to such heights and has moved on to do relatively well for himself in life after wrestling, still likes playing an armchair booker of sorts. It's a little surreal.
-
That sounds incredible.

The name Gunner became ten times better when he started using the Torture Rack and called it the Gun Rack. Been a big fan of his for ages, that skit where he walked into a gym and kicked the shit out of everyone before getting to Garret was amazing. The should use the #impact365 thing to just do loads more of Gunner kicking the shit out of random people in random places
Â
Anyone got a link to this segment?

Dude is a big wrestling fan and whenever I've heard him talk about it, he always manages to nail what's magical about it. Dare I say, he actually manages to make wrestling seem [looks around]...cool.
-
Just listening to this week's AOW which is a live show from Germany. The live ones can be a bit iffy but in this one Colt is absolutely bombing in front of the crowd. They aren't responding to anything. I'd hope that the crowd just weren't miked up well but even Colt points it out.
Â
EDIT: Just saw that Punk will be on Marc Maron's WTF podcast this week. One of my favourite podcasts so I'm pretty excited about this!

Steen, Adam Cole and the Young Bucks are now doing a group called Mount Rushmore, or something.
Â
The two promos I've seen so far have been pretty entertaining. Here's one.

Re: The Nash/Hall/Waltman UK tour, they're saying on Twitter that they're not confirming they're showing until they get their deposit. This is getting more worrying

Was there live and had a great time. Rose had his best showing since being called up thanks to a jolly crowd who got in to it. The opening with the Wyatts was cool too. Plus I was on the aisle and got to see the Shield entrance up close.
