I think more than one person mentioned this on Twitter and Jericho replied to one with 'They would literally die'... which is a fair point.
Have to agree that set up looks fucking cool and, no spoilers, but the show this week does sound pretty decent.

Unless of course they were an alien and this unlocked their secret powers of teleportation........

His Kryptonian name was Kal-El (or Kal-L on Earth-2). His human name came from his adopted parents, who were a bunch of Kents.

That's what I mean, I'd love a vignette where it's explained that she took the name to fit in on earth, or go the whole hog and do a mini movie of her life..... I can't believe that a comic book nerd, a video game nerd and whatever the fuck the young bucks are can't write a background for a backflipping alien......

Kris Statlander is one thing that annoys me - and did before AEW as well.

I appreciate anyone on the indies who, having built up a name and a reputation, isn't afraid to think, "this isn't quite working, let's try something new", and take a gamble on a new gimmick or persona. And the alien gimmick is fun! But she hedged her bets and stuck with the existing, ordinary name. "Kris Statlander" isn't an alien's name.

And I understand not changing it while she was on the indies and still banking on prior name value, but now she's locked down to a contract, that should have been an opportunity.

Was Clark Kent an aliens name? Maybe if she pronounced her full alien name you would end up in a coma??? These things I don't mind so much in storytelling entertainment, but it'd take 15 seconds to explain and the laziness annoys me.

  4. Would he make my "mount rushmore".... No

Top 10 of all time... Probably not.

But by whatever metric you use..... Jushin Liger is pro wrestling.

The look, the entrance, the charisma, the matches, the legacy, just the perfect example of this incredibly stupid, ridiculous, amazing thing we all love....

  5. It's a small thing but enough to annoy me, I think everybody from the nxt roster used some sort of step-up/flying knee, Cole did, riddle did, basler did..... Did tegan nox hit the shiniest wizard??? Not a huge thing but if you're champs going over Daniel Bryan (who uses a flying knee) maybe that's the only match that should have them????

  6. Wwe have at their hands the most interesting storyline in years, the idea that smackdown has both world titles on guys who shouldn't lose them for at least 6 months, raw desperately trying to get a title back, aj stepping up as the (us) champ that runs the camp again, this could literally be most intriguing story they've told in years.........

Watch as they trade wyatt to raw next Monday.......

  7. I know people have said the ship has sailed on Braun, But there was a moment, just after seth pissed himself in the corner, where he was on his knees face to face with the fiend, where i just thought "give me these lads having ridiculous brawls all the way to the Rumble".

If they have to keep the belt on Rollins, Braun shoulder-charging the cell door off and murdering seth before crashing through the cell wall with the fiend causing a no contest would be ok by me........

  8. One thing I like, AEW has worked hard to set up "divisions" that means the TV shows don't need a predictable main every week. You can do a tag title match, a trios match, a mental bastards match, and theoretically guys facing each other on ppv don't have 4 singles matches beforehand...... Hopefully they make it work long term.

Panic button has been pressed. Can’t imagine Heyman is best pleased either, he would probably rather use the time to get talent over rather than watch the Kliq wankathon for a billionth time. I fucking love Austin. He’s my favourite of all time. But I do not want to see him on TV anymore.

These shows are a complete waste of time and it’s not what we want, even though Vince probably thinks it is.

Heyman who brought in Arn and Tully in 94/95 and put the belt on funk in 97 when he was already 1000 years old? Don't think he has an issue with using names to pop a rating and get eyes on the product......

As a Liverpool resident I'm wondering if you've ever been to The Dispensary? I haven't myself but have always wanted to, as it has the reputation of being a brilliant pub with a great choice of beers, but the landlord is allegedly a right nutter bordering on psycho who will be majorly pissed off if you order a half/Coke/orange juice/ask to use the toilet/he doesn't like the look of you.

The Trip Advisor reviews are a constant source of amusement on quiet days at work:

We had a pub like that in Dublin. Decent beer selection, cocktails, gin etc, but the owner was a psycho who would regularly start fights with his own clientèle/the staff in the bigger craft bar up the road. Never affected me but was hilarious to watch...
