They're a decent size in fairness, significantly bigger than the little supermarket equivalents. Looks great, I'd definitely be picking those up if I saw them in a farm shop.Â

Sounds like it depends what you want it for. If it's not for anything too involved beyond streaming TV it's probably a very good deal. If you want it for something high-spec, or for top quality gaming, maybe less so.Â

Now I’m fairly sure he’s just on the wind-up, this is actually very funny.Yeah he's on a massive troll job there, and fair play to him. I genuinely believe the chances of him turning up at Full Gear are higher than Survivor Series, but neither feels like a likely possibility.Â
Number 30 in the rumble seems way more likely to me at this stage, because aside from the Chicago return, I don't know what you do with him for the next couple of months otherwise without risking his body falling apart.Â

Diogo Jota is quietly going about being our second best forward this season, such an underrated member of our team.
Â
Always felt like such a quietly shrewd signing for Liverpool. Such a quality player. As an Arsenal fan it's frustrating because Jota seems to score against us every time we play Liverpool.Â

Saw someone post that they are "Burning music to CD years old" and someone reply that they are "Recording songs off the radio onto cassette tape years old", which I'm sure most of us qualify for both. Well, I'm now "Bought a chest freezer for the garage" years old. My auntie used to have a spare fridge/freezer in the shed. Always thought it was such an old person thing to do, though it was mainly full of beer which made it cooler (geddit?)
We've been juggling with our freezer for ages. I'm constantly throwing away leftovers because the latest leftovers need fridge space, or defrosting stuff in the vain hope that someone will turn up and be hungry! Finally, done something about it. An exciting prospect is that I bought an ice cream machine during lockdown and it's never been used because I've never had enough freezer space for the bucket thing. Looking to make some ice cream this weekend!
I did likewise a few years ago when we were expecting our eldest and its been a game changer. Just batch cooking loads of really nice meals, often in the slow cooker, has been a huge help both financially with food costs, and in terms of time. Having easily defrostable meals ready to go for two under-5s was also superb.Â

I know his Twitter has been mentioned before, but this is another belting find from the archive by Gary Michael Capetta. One of my favourute announcers ever, but seems like a good dude too.Â

It's Swerve! He's been plotting and scheming to wear down MJF, create new enemies for him and take away all his support over several months so he can swoop in and take the title from him once weakened. How's that?
To be fair, AEW haven't done an angle like this before so let's maybe wait till they actually fuck it up to complain about it.
Not a complaint, and I'd be very happy if the swerve, is indeed Swerve.Â
If they come up with a viable plan that doesn't confirm my fear over the direction of this, I will be delighted. I am open to and optimistic they will, but I just have a nagging feeling something like that is the endgame for this angle. I very much hope I'm wrong.Â
I'm not sure my concern warranted such a stern response, perhaps I didn't phrase it clearly, apologies.Â
-
I'm getting a terrible sinking feeling that they're going for a big nonsensical swerve as part of the masked devil angle.
If it's not Cole and The Kingdom, I can't help but think it's going to end up being The Elite (which makes minimal sense), or worse, this whole Punk firing thing has been a massively convoluted, underwhelming Russo-esque work which would be terrible.Â
Please tell me there's a more logical explanation that won't leave me wanting to sack off watching AEW.Â

This all goes back to last Christmas when we had the audacity to come to the Emirates, and, rather than play open expansive football and get battered we decided to play defensive and utilise some time wasting tactics, you might not like it but you were a lot better than us so to get a result we had to play differently. I find the arrogance that we shouldn't play like that embarrassing, like little old Newcastle should just come to Arsenal and roll over, how dare they play to their strengths to try and get a result (which we got) there is only one way to play football etc etc.
That was one match, we don't play like that against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth. You don't score as many goals as we do by playing turgid shut up shop football, we can play when we want to and need to, on the other hand we can also adapt to try and get a result against better teams if we have to as well. We're not Man City, can't play lovely football every week, we're not good enough. You do what you do to get a result.
Take it as a compliment we played like that at the Emirates, anyone who watches us regularly will know we don't always play like that. Look at PSG, Man Utd last week, Palace the other week, Villa opening weekend to name a few this season where we've played some good stuff and gave teams a hiding.
You've given this far more thought than it warrants. I have only watched Newcastle when they play Arsenal and there's been a whole lot of turgid football. I can't speak to what you do against other clubs, because it's not wildly relevant to me.Â
1 hour ago, Doog said:It's getting embarrassing now mate, you lost, get over it.
I don't massively care about the loss to Newcastle, it's more the sportswashing and the less-than-stellar behaviour of your owners that I'm uneasy about.Â

Pretty sure you don't get the second best goal tally in the league (boo City) without playing some alright football.
You can still score goals playing turgid football.Â

According to the last survey the club carried out, the % of Spurs fans who are Jewish is around 5%, and Tottenham is no longer known as a "Jewish area" but Spurs will always be referred to as a Jewish club, same as Ajax I guess.
Not that it's wildly relevant, but on this point, I'm fairly sure I read somewhere not that long ago that proportionally there's a much larger Jewish contingent in the Arsenal fanbase than Spurs in more modern times. I have no stats to back this up, or not to hand at least, but I vaguely recall reading that somewhere and thought it was interesting given the traditional association with Tottenham and the Jewish community.
It also very much matches my (admittedly anecdotal) experience of having a fair few Jewish friends and co-workers in North London who were primarily Arsenal fans when I was growing up/when I lived back there a few years ago, but again that's not necessarily indicative of that being an accurate statistic.Â

I assume most people used it in that way and with no homophobic intent...
Â
I think you're being very kind/generous there Bacon to believe that most people used it like yourself without that intent, and I don't think that specifically applies to just Spurs fans either. I definitely have heard plenty of homophobic abuse towards players over the years, in stadiums and in pubs from a variety of "fans" of different clubs, frequently towards Chelsea and using that specific chant on plenty of occasions.Â
There's a mob mentality that is slowly, finally being marginalised out of the game that definitely carried a vocal undercurrent of homophobia. About time it was removed too, seems farcical that in modern memory that was even a thing. Yet, the number of openly gay footballers at the top of the game is very small, presumably in part because we aren't quite there yet with inclusion and acceptance of sexual orientations that are deemed outside the norm (they really aren't, but the Sun-reading general public modernise at a glacial speed). So yeah, stuff like this definitely helps.Â
2 hours ago, SuperBacon said:I'm sure this will bring up the "yid" debate again, and I'm happy to sensibly debate that as always, and think it's about time that was knocked on the head as well, but I guarantee that will be a tougher ask.
Yeah, especially in the current climate given everything happening with Israel and Palestine, and the somewhat polarising reactions to that conflict, that's something I can't see being tackled in a productive fashion at the moment.Â

Absolutely embarrassing that. Sure everyone's club will do it at some point, but yeah embarrassing.Â
Embarrassing how? The club supporting the manager and backing him seems perfectly reasonable to me.
I'm not sure I totally agree with his point of view in terms of the Newcastle game, but to call the club backing the manager "embarrassing" feels like I'm missing something?
EDIT: I should say I get why the overreaction to a marginal decision is embarassing, as per every club, football fans online are generally the worst, but I also feel backing the manager is 100% fine by the club.Â

Just finished 'The Fall of the House of Usher' on Netflix.Â
I really enjoyed it. Fairly mild horror with loads of Poe references. Great for me.
Just finished this today. While not as good as Midnight Mass (it's a very high bar for my money as Mike Flanagan's best work), I thought this was excellent. The whole cast really delivered, the story worked, and while the deaths were gruesome in places, it never felt like it strayed too far away from the central story. Very much enjoyed the whole series. Â

I don't think anyone thinks Misawa died because of that last back bump, he died because of the damage he did over the years to his neck and back, so that in the end it was a simple move that broke him. Â
Yeah, and Misawa knew full well that it was on the cards at some stage, to the point he'd written a letter in advance to an unnamed opponent absolving them of blame if he died in the ring. So he must have had a clue it could be incremental if it happened rather than necessarily a single bad bump.Â

Omega challenging Max felt absolutely massive and the 8-man tag tease for next week gave me the biggest Pinnacle-sized boner imaginable. It has to be them, doesn’t it? Hopefully they all come out in suits, each wearing a devil mask, then whip them off at the same time to a huge pop.
I really hope this is the direction they go for. I don't want this to be some shitty swerve with CM Punk (I don't think it will be, and I beleive his firing was legit, but that would be the absolute worst if TK decided to go all worked shoot Russo bullshit) or Adam Cole, or Jack Perry. I definitely have concerns about them sticking the landing on this angle. Â

I wondered this too, because I'm not sure what else would cause them to have such a "toys out of the pram" moment.Â
I still don't think it's him, but I'm no longer 100%. It'll be stupid if it is, but wrestling is better with Punk involved, so that's something even if it us some sub-Russo "worked shoot" bollocks.Â
I do wonder if whoever the Devil is, or at least someone in the gear, will be MJF's tag partner in the match, even just briefly before disappearing until the end of the show.Â
