Urgh, if this is a work and goes all mid-00s shooty bollocks with Punk doing "run ins" from the crowd, I will 100% be done with AEW. That shite can get in the bin.

To think this is very nearly what everyone wishes they'd done with punk in 2011.

I'm not the biggest fan of his work, not my bag, but I can appreciate how good he is when he his at his best. That said is there anyone he doesn't either piss off or grind down? Not that WWE or AEW management are blameless but from all you hear over the years he's up there with mid 90s Shawn for being an unbearable cunt to deal with, which is funny given he's such a Hart fanboy.

  2. Depending on what you are doing with it and how it's set up until you get a permanent solution you could try setting up a 2.4GHz and a 5GHz channel. Might not help though.

Mine was meant to be dynamic but it was shit and it was much better for me to have control of which to use where.

That sucks. I much prefer that version of the character rather than the super-sexualised “WOOOO! I’M FUCKIN’ MAD ME!” version that’s become the go to over the last decade

I've not watched it in years but from what I remember Harley's Holiday is a great episode.

I generally hate Batman but TAS was great for giving real depth to the villains for Batman to play off, and as a result is about the only time I don't think Batman is a massive cunt.

  4. I used to love cream soda with a scoop of ice cream, not had it for ages but I really fancy one know.

Also the Pepsi soda stream syrup is perfect for adding to the water when cooking a ham.

@SuperBacon what's your take on that Tango and coke mix German does? It's objectively horrible but I couldn't not buy it often.

Milds and bitters are making a comeback

I'm definitely seeing more bitters. For a time it was all hop heavy IPA, then sweet flavored stouts everywhere, but more often I'm finding one or two good session bitters on post covid in the mix.

Not sure if it's a change in who's out or brewerys closing.

  6. I love a good mild but it's not something I see around too much. I guess it doesn't have the sell through which is why I always enjoy getting them in at festivals. I'll keep putting it in the suggestion box down my local though.

Twisted Barrel here in Cov do a really solid one which is a bit of a staple

For saying how close I am to Cov I don't see much Twisted Barrel around. Someone a few months back mentioned a newish set up, Triumph. Not sure how new they mean by new but what's your opinion on them? Worth a visit?

  7. I'm on my way home from a couple of days at Peterborough beer festival, easily one of my favourites now derby don't run the round house and notts is sticking to Trent bridge.

Any way, a couple of keg places were open on my walk to the station for my trip home and promoted by this chat had a couple of nice ones, brew york kirch Russel being the best.

I'm a cask over keg man so it's rare I ever have anything too trendy in that style but I love a bottle of gueze, particularly if it's been aged well.

  8. Just saw foley say funk had gone.

After Foley funk was the man who got me into wrestling, and in truth he's what I see as wrestling in his late 80's to late 90s run, no one beats the Funker.

  9. I'm a bit confused by all that TBH, because I'd understood the criticism of Apu is that the character is a stereotype of Asian Americans, regardless of who it's voiced by.

I've not really understood why then recasting Carl mattered. I'm sure there is a reason, I've just never heard it because I'm too sheltered.

  10. From what little I've seen of the really modern stuff it's fine enough, it's not series 2 to 10 but it's serviceable family friendly light entertainment.

The ones I can't watch are the run of series after that early peak where seemingly every episode felt like it was built around the thought it'll be hilarious for homer to be both an idiot and a massive cunt each week with little else spooned in for plot, depth  or humor.

  11. Former US president and one time neighbor of the Simpsons George Bush Snr was one of 9 airmen shot down during a bombing raid and was the only one to survive, the other 8 were captured, tortured and killed with half the bodies then being eaten.

  12. I really enjoyed Saturday, I stayed at main stage (apart from nipping off for a tattoo (my first) and missing crowbar) and enjoyed the lot. Someone was surprisingly great fun, knocked loose possibly, had a great time larking about to them and then chilled out during abbath who I enjoyed despite some initial reservations when I saw them, and sort of Celtic frost who were great.

Friday I enjoyed Wytch hazel, my sort of thing, and had a great time down the front for gate creeper. Scared Reich were my highlight though, who I had heard stuff from but didn't know it was them, as the music was great and I could run about too. In flames were great but I pissed off during KsE, not my thing so I got a few beers and chilled at the back.

Sundays a bit hazy in the morning but KK priest was good, ugly kid joe was great and I know it's not very cool because he's a bit of a nob but Megadeath were great fun and I managed to sneak down the front for the finale when it didn't matter if I fucked my knees up being stupid or knackered myself lifting people out.

Also the cask beer choice was great for this sort of event between the Oakham bar, Timothy Taylor bars and main bar.

  13. I was just booking my taxi (because I live close enough to not be bothered camping as I've not been well for a few months) and noticed an "awaiting replacement" on clash finder so was about to ask what the deal was with that.

As ever any recommendations to not miss are welcome; I know Megadave, Ugly Kid Joe and Killswitch Engage (and did know Helloween). I think I've heard of In Flames and Celtic Frost.

Everybody talks in cockney rhyming slang.

If you see a chimney sweep make sure you tip your hat.

My last trip to London was 2008 and on exiting the station the first Londoner I encountered was a cockney crabby saying "give 'em a boy and they make 'em a man" which cemented my view of cockneys as right knobs.

    but what about Rose Matafeo

I've never been able to get my head around what's going on with the underwear in this photo, and now weird pants are all I think of when she's on TV.

Is this a common design, skimpy with a giant fishnet topper up to your navel, that's somehow past me by in encounters with women?
