A little late but I've started Armoured Core 6 and yeah it's pretty wild, not so much of the Soulsborne DNA in it but you can still feel little bits during bosses that can be completely batshit.

This is a far more straightforward mission based game, completely linear it seems. With a heavy emphasis on build diversity, you can even sell any parts you don't like for the exact prices you paid so it encourages experimentation. I hear it has a moonlight sword like nearly all games since Kings Field.. might need to grab that when I can.

I'm pretty sure I've recommended it here before but JoshStyfePlays armoured core 1 review is great and calls out most of your post, including the moonlight great sword.

Edit: his eternal ring ones great too.

It's never been about religion. Religion has only ever been a pretext for this entire fucking mess.

You said that, right there. That clearly implies you don't think Religion was a factor so don't act the bollocks and back track now.

It's like trying to claim that Ireland was about religion.

It was, it wasn't the sole factor but it was a factor and any attempt to boil issues like the middle east to one single root cause and factor is, in my opinion, short sighted.

While Religion has been used as a pretext here, as in many conflicts, in my opinion to state "its never been about religion" is just as massive an oversimplification of a long and extensive history of conflict in the region as Ricks point is.

During the Elizabethan period infant mortality rate was 14% and 30% died before turning 16. Most mothers would give birth between 5 and ten times in their life. I'd assume that was pretty similar around the world.

Life expectancy in the United Kingdom was below 39 years in the year 1765, and over the course of the next two and a half centuries, it is expected to have increased by more than double, to 81.1 by the year 2020. Although life expectancy has generally increased throughout the UK's history, there were several times where the rate deviated from its previous trajectory. These changes were the result of smallpox epidemics in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, new sanitary and medical advancements throughout time (such as compulsory vaccination), and the First world War and Spanish Flu epidemic in the 1910s.

  6. Some bloke from Pipers used to go to a lot of beer festivals selling bags and putting out bowls of all the flavors for people to try.

Watching him stare in disapproval as people stuffed their face with handfuls of samples was always delightful.

  7. It's one I'd put my hand in my pocket for a new console for, especially with MK out as well.

More than anything I really enjoyed the story in spidermon, so as long as that stays strong I'm really tempted.

I'm also thinking of giving symphony of the night a try, I've plays 0 Castlevania games before, good idea or bad idea to jump in there?

  8. Not quite on topic but I think undertaker is overrated because of the WWE hype machine. Post 91 to 96 was shit and post summerslam to him fucking off was shit.

His 2000 return was good until mania 17 then he was on and off until mania 24.

I'm not saying he's not good, he's just not as good as wwe says and so not as good as people looking only through the WWE lense say

I never got Stone Cold as a babyface. He always came across as the opposite of someone I’d want to cheer, so there was definitely something about the act that I didn’t get. I knew what they were doing with the character and it clearly worked… just not for me.

The heel run in ‘01 was the best thing he did in WWE.

I bet this is nearly word for word your response to the SCG podcast on this topic.

fucking Benoit (other than being a scummy piece of shit), a personality vaccum so lacking any mic skills that he had no business being anything other than a solid midcarder.

Off topic but I think they missed the boat a bit with him as a heel, stick him with a mouth piece and have him be the bad guy and it would have been much better than trying him as a top face in 04.
