The poor sod found one of the victims of the Yorkshire Ripper and was considered a suspect for a short time

I remember reading about it and it included snipits from a few interviews with him about it and it really fucked him up by all accounts and is quite sad, he attributed it as part of the fall of his first marriage and his now long-standing drink problems.

Didn't he also get let go from Corrie for selling stories to the TV mags and couldn't find other work, resulting in his already heavy drinking getting worse?

He's an alcoholic with accusations of assulting his partner and with a history of selling stories to magazines who print spoilers, he'll never fit into wrestling.

I refuse to pay those PLE prices (Clash in the Castle, Money in the Bank) for nosebleed seats to watch a show I can see for free on TV - so this was more my cup of tea.

Slightly off topic but back in the day when I went I'd prefer the house shows to TV tapings because you'd get a better show.

I remember more than once people dry running thier upcoming ppv match nearly beat for beat rather than watching a load of skits on the screen or run in finishes at the tapings.

  3. Never finished it. I loved all the little side stories and quests and ancillary characters but the main story and core teams of Railroad / BoS / Institute / Minutemen bored me once I'd got to the institute because ultimately I wasn't really routing for anyone of them like I had in NV where I was invested in the characters and outcomes more. The best bit was bumbling about with that detective or piper seeing the world.

I do remember a pirate ship full of robots though, which was fun.

Is this the first televised genocide?

Off topic but how widely reported were the events in Bosnia at the time? I remember the conflicts being on the news a lot but can't really remember how well known during it that side was, or how it was reported here.

Lidl do some fake sausage McMuffin

Aldi do a range of knock off McDonald's which I think includes sausage and egg muffins too.

Never tried them to know if it's any good.

TBF to Pete when he posted the link the article was senior Tory arrested on rape charge. It was only later when Crispin Blunt outed himself the article was updated.

To be fair it is really fucking lazy to just post a link and no real information, context or opinion in either event.

Every year down my road people do fireworks in their drive, putting rockers in glass bottles and aiming them out towards the pavement.

That's not to mention that the fireworks people in my area use are bigger than the fireworks I've seen professional firework people use (I'm friends with a couple of people who do professional fireworks shows).

So might not be needed where you are, definitely needed where I am.

It was just a joke about Spiderman going halfway across New York to check someone's got the right permit chief, not a genuine debate on fireworks and antisocial behaviour policy.

Surely the explanation is "different people find different things funny". Shocker.

Exactly, some people even used to find Uncle Zeb funny for fucks sake.

  9. I used to live a couple of doors down from a donner place, they did amazing lahmacun (?) and from what little I understood it was always beef.

Good times, I'd occasionally walk to the shop just past it for what I needed and a bottle of wine, drink half the wine walking to the donner shop, get tea and finish the wine on the way back to the house to eat and a have a short nap.

He had a Porsche, £20k half of the deposit and the ability to pay back the other £20k within a year. Plus a missus who’s dad could afford to borrow them £20k over a dinner. That’s pushing the definition of skint in my book.

Things like that are relative to your accustomed lifestyle to a degree. I know people, cunts mostly, who genuinely consider themselves hard up because they didn't go skiing over winter.

The fact that others aren't eating for the two days before payday is so beyond thier experience they don't comprehend it and generally get a shock when I've seen them challenged on it.

"dangan" which as well as the name of his entrance theme, means "bullet" in Nipponese

As Joey Style used to love to tell us if I remember right. It was his "Rellik is Killer spelt backwards"

  12. I always liked the sliding forearm to a seated opponent Masato Tanaka did the few times I saw it. Google tells me it's apparently called the "sliding D".

I always liked his roaring elbow and tornado DDT too, but I don't think they're in the spirit of the thread.

  13. My quiz show hate is stalling to fill time, which I'm sure the producers ask them to but it's unbelievable irritating.

"Well I know it's not A because blah blah, and it can't be C because blah blah"

Just answer B and get on with it you twats.
