  1. I'm running the risk of being mugged or not appreciated and going to London in a few months.

I'm arriving at Euston and staying somewhere around hyde park to head to a concert at the Albert hall Saturday night, but will have Saturday day, Sunday and perhaps a little of Monday to plan a good beer and pub run. So before I start researching and planning, and while I wait for this year's GBG, knowing there's a few people from somewhere in London on here I thought I'd ask for any recommendations as a starting point to plan around.

A 53 year old retiree? Richard Wilson was very young for the part at the time then. Unless Victor had retired early (not watched it for years).

He did, in the first episode he's given early retirement at 60 and replaced with an electric buzzer and answering machine IIRC.

  3. I've picked back up Chrono Trigger for another run. As always I got a bit stuck at Magnus because I'm rubbish, so took a little break and read a few tips, tried again and past him.

I'm just about to battle Dalton for the first time and it really is a  great game. Having also given up on FF7 and never completed it more than once I'm hoping to see CT through this time at least.

On that note how do FF1 - 6 hold up these days?

You’re Dead To Me is great but as mentioned, the comedian guest can be hit or miss

I do love you're dead to me but I agree on the guest, there's a couple I just can't listen to because of the comedian they've got in. I used to listen to that was genius as a light comedy history one but they started trying a bit hard and I drifted away.

I'll look up the recommendations, and @HarmonicGenerator my DMs are full so if you want to post a link before I get around to clearing some space please do.

  5. I was expecting walkers roast chicken but they did have 2 of the 11 secret herbs and spices at the forefront (salt and pepper).

A delightful take on KFC coating

I'm going full on "winnebago wanker"

I had a chat with someone at small festival when I was setting my van up and they were genuinely aghast that I had just a bed and fridge on wheels. No toilet, no microwave, no working sink.

What started the next chat was me washing in a bucket outside (shorts on, I'm not getting my nob out in a crowd without prior approval) which I considered perfectly normal but was apparently living like some feral beast.

Edit: I love camping. I've got a couple of old primas stoves I use and escaping to nowhere is my dream, so doing it when I can is great. When I finally go over the top I'll be living in the woods poaching until they find me.

  8. I watched the first hour of the first episode and it was really enjoyable, first time in years I've really enjoyed watching new wrestling.

Couldn't have cared less for punks promo, never a big fan, but it was easy enough to coast over. Wardlow vs Luchasaurus was fun beefy bloke fair and Buddy Matthews vs. Andrade El Idolo was great.

The big issues I've had in the past weren't too prevalent; camera work was solid without tons of cuts, crowd were good without being annoying cunts; despite the punk opening not too much of people I can't stand.

I'll certainly try to catch the rest.

Made a huge deal, but then made pointless by Kurt coming back half-way through the show.

Not uncommon sadly, for all the praise Foley and funk going off the ramp gets for it's immediate follow up people often forget they were back for the show closing brawl in their hospital gowns.

The fact that McDonald's had a roughly 30 minute wait and Burger King was dead tells you everything.

So you're saying Mrs Brown's Boys is amazing because so many people watch it?

  11. So the little one was fine and we could pick both up start of the week. They've settled well, she's got a few medical bits to sort but it's not slowing her down at all, he's a happy tot right from the start.

Neither seem to be used to a garden or treats, so I'm getting them used to it slowly.

  12. Late to the download chat but I had to leave a bit early because I freaked out and went Tonto again, but while the bands were good to great it was too busy for me.

I like to nip for drinks during sets when it's a bit quieter and mill between stages at points but it was so busy it wasn't really feasible. There also seemed less lavs and I'm pissing every hour. With less drink and more people I'm just getting less out of it sadly.

I'm back to day tickets until it's a shit year of oaps again I think 😆

  13. I felt a bit bad for him to be honest, didn't his daughter die in unpleasant circumstances and ghouls took advantage for lolz.

He's an odd one because his best stuff wasn't in the big era, no one's rushing to rewatch his stints with Volkoff,  but he was key in the Hogan story so WWE would get him in any legends deal and no one looked more jacked than him swinging those clubs in his prime.
