  1. The UK was TNAs biggest market at one point and the shows were getting more viewers than RAW and Smackdown over here, it definitely did something for them, it’s their fault they ended up as they did and didn’t capitalise on it but if AEW learns from them mistakes and becomes a genuine alternative then being on ITV is a massive deal

  2. Great news, have ordered the PPV already, shame about not being able to record with it being my first time but it’s bank holiday weekend so a late night on the Saturday will be alright.

Really hope this does mean ITV will carry the weekly shows once they get up and running, a proper broadcaster showing it over here on a channel like that gives it a huge chance. TNA pulled in phenomenal viewing figures when it was on Challenge initially and at the height of its popularity so if this ends up airing on free view they’ve got a hell of a start

  3. Can’t stand Judd Trump and not a big fan of Higgins either so it’s the worse possible final for me. Enjoyed the tournament overall just such a shame Wilson and Gilbert fell at the final hurdle, even one of them would’ve given me someone to route for in the final whereas now it’s just a case of not watching it.

Big tournament for up and coming players mind, future of the sport is in good hands.

  4. So Rollins has spent the last few months having digs at Lesnar and saying how he will bring the belt back to RAW etc, he wins the Rumble to finally get that chance yet rather than state he’s coming for Lesnar they play him up as conflicted about who to face!

So odd, the story is ready made, this indecision is stupid and goes against the story they’ve been telling/hinting at the last few months

  5. Something that really annoys me to a stupid extent and maybe says more about me than this actual thing but when you’re driving and come to a junction where there’s two lanes, one to go left, one to go right, and people are in these lane and indicate to show they’re going that way...but they’re in the right turning lane so obviously that’s the way they’re going, the car is pointing that way, there’s no need to bloody indicate.

i think just driving in general annoys me but that’s another story.

  6. I don’t think the majority of people did always know/think Michaels would be back - maybe for the first couple of years but it’s been 8 now, I genuinely thought he was going to be the one to stick to the retirement stipulation and I think he always wanted to be that guy as well.

Saudi money talks I guess but it’s still an odd one, I mean he’s hardly short of a few bob you’d imagine even without the Saudi money, still I’m looking forward to him returning, he looks to have kept in decent shape for a few more matches.

Kurt Angle meanwhile absolutely shouldn’t be wrestling anymore, he looked knackered last night and he hardly did anything!

  7. Sky would have you believe the big teams are but yeah, not really, it’s just glorified friendlies. The big teams will all qualify via the normal qualifying process anyway, as they always do, so this Nations League is really just a way for the smaller teams to have a bit more of a chance to qualify, and the probably not in the end anyway.

I can’t think of anything I’d hate more than Gargano turning heel and joining forces with Ciampa. Fuck that. That’s such a Russo thing to do. No-one would expect it, bro. No-one would expect it because it’d be fucking stupid. They’ve got something super special with Gargano and Ciampa. The year’s best feud between the year’s best babyface and the year’s best heel, having a match of the year candidate each and every time out. The last thing you need to do with this is try anything cute. This should only end one way and that’s Gargano winning the belt from Ciampa in a huge, cathartic crescendo.

Oh aye I agree, it’s not something I’d like to see happen at all, it’s just the way the segment played out made the thought pop into my mind. You would also assume Gargano would’ve heard Black being attacked and maybe nipped back to see what was happening. I dunno, it’s most likely nothing and I’ve seen a swerve that definitely isn’t there, but just crossed my mind.

  9. The Ciampa beatdown Of Black was interesting. If only for the fact Gargano was right there outside, telling Black he knows what he’s going to do, Ciampa then I waits behind the door and batters him then leaves through the door Gargano was as just outside of.

First thought made me think are they putting them back together and having Gargano help Ciampa win the belt, would be mental after everything but stranger things have happened and NxT could explain the story well I guess.

  10. Blacks done for me. He’s too exposed doing promos and the aura he had has evaporated and he’s just a bland guy cutting bad promos trying to get his catchphrase in. I’d have Ciampa take the belt from him somehow and then go Ciampa/Garganos final battle for the belt.

We’ll see where it all goes, Black could do with a bit of time off once he hopefully drops the belt mind.

    Hopefully more Dream next week

  11. Does anyone watch Friday Night Dinner? I’m very late to it so have literally just started watching it all the last few weeks and am up to date with the current season now so have no idea what the general reception of it all was/is so may be of no interest to anyone!

Anyway I love it, however Friday Nights episode had one of the most sad scenes I’ve seen in a comedy show, bloody heartbreaking!

Just a stop over en route to somewhere else at a guess. They did something similar last year after their Asian tour when they were coming back to the states and they did a show in London. People got it in their head that it was going to be some sort of network special, but they never implied that it was anything other than a house show, same with the Starrcade themed house show they held

Thats not to say that they might not change their mind and televise it, but it would be a surprise if they did

That was WWE - they’re talking about TNA here - I imagine it’ll be filmed to some extent and footage will be shown of it as they’re talking about it quite a lot on social media, challenging the UK promotions and all that

Innit, let people speculate. Its not implausible that this could lead to a come back of some kind.

That’s what I was thinking too, people are obviously going to get excited, he hasn’t done anything wrestling related since leaving in 2014, so with him doing this it’s hard for his fans not to get excited that he’s got a bit of the bug or through doing this could catch the bug to want to wrestle again. Early days of course but anything’s possible
