  1. Can't do the link as I'm on my phone, but the Mirror have published an article about a new TV channel called FreeSports starting over here on Thursday.

Apprently aswell as all the football and other sports there is going to be a weekly live TV show from a Uk wrestling Promotion - they didn't name which one mind

  2. Reigns looked lost out there man, the bit where Cena told him to learn how to do a promo you could see Reigns was struggling to either remember or think what to say. Looked a right chump.

He improved a bit after that but Cena certainly schooled him.

interesting segment, if they want Reigns to succeed it sure didn't look like it on RAW. The stuff said about Cena is all the same as what we've heard before so didn't pack much.

Reigns has to win at No Mercy surely

  3. From someone who never saw Nakamura before he came to NXT and later WWE I'm firmly in the camp of "dont get him"

He's just fucking weird. I mean in the cartoon world of wrestling he still stands out as odd. The mannerisms, the hand gestures, the way he talks, he just seems like a weirdo.

I imagine a lot of especially casual fans will feel the same, you turn the TV on and see this idiot prancing around making loads of weird gestures you're probably going to think wrestlings not for you.

Everyone else I've been able to get into and get etc, so it's not hating on the Japan or the indies or whatever, I just don't get him, don't like him and don't really want to watch him

  4. The way he forcibly grabs the belt off Jinder a couple of times at the end and holds it up as if he's the Champion is brilliant like - the fuck is he thinking?

Quite enjoyed the Punjabi Prison match as well, thought Orton was tough to win and it kept suspense. Decent enough way to kill a few hours on a Monday night

  5. Just been watching WWF 2000 again on the network and am in the midst of the Rikishi reveal as to who ran down Austin. One thing I was wondering is does anyone know who originally was meant to have been the one who ran him down?

As shocking as Rikishi was at the time of the reveal, in hindsight it was a terrible reveal and it feels like they almost went back to Triple H putting him up to it- was the plan always for Triple H to be the accomplice as such? The way thing we're going at the time it didn't feel that way.

i remember even as a lad at the time, I always thought it'd be Billy Gunn - he was there at Survivor Series but wasn't seen at the scene when DX lured Austin in - was he meant to the the original one who did it and they changed their mind?

the build up to the reveal is really good hit everything after is terrible. Shame really

  6. Sounds like it'll be Angle and Dixie having an affair, and its been Stephanie and/or Triple H blackmailing Angle about it, leading to Angle v HHH at SummerSlam with Dixie and Stephanie in their respective corners.

RAW is in Nashville where Dixie is based next week as well. Absolutely mental that it looks like she'll be showing up and playing a part on WWE TV

  7. Interesting times.

To be fair, I've really been enjoying Impact since it came onto Spike and I'm really loooking forward to Slammiversary. It's an easy to follow wrestling show that offers something different, production wise, to WWE. Feels more gritty and reminiscent of WWF in the late 90s in regards to how it's presented, quick matches and lots of good videos and backstage bits. For al its criticisms TNA always do a good job of making sure everyone on the roster has a defined character.

On the note of Slammiversary, does anyone know if Spike are showing it advert free? I've got to be up early and am out all day and night Tuesday, I could afford to stay up to midnight but if they have ads a 3 hour wrestling show suddenly turns into a near 4 hour one and its getting late then

  8. Aye this is the Goldust I've wanted to see for a while!

Hope they don't get relegated to the Kick Off show on Sunday but I fear that is what is going to happen seeing as a match between the two of them hasn't been made official yet and there is no kick off match

  9. Wonder when They're finally going to pull the trigger on this Sasha heel turn on bayley - Sasha was ridiculous on the pre show talking about Bayley being her best friend, sounded like a right muppet so I hope it's soon and they can explain stuff like that away as acting false

Last night would have been the perfect opportunity but I guess they'll do it in Bayley rematch

Decent show though I thought save for HOH. Braun looked like a beast again on the main show, shame they had to do that stupid bit at the start of raw talk

  10. So, its Payback tonight..

Havent watched much WWE since WrestleMania but the card looks decent enough if nothing to really write home about.

PWInsider have just put up how House Of Horrors will work, half pre taped and half to be done in the arena by the sounds of it. Hopefully Reigns/Strowman will be the actual main event

Anyone watching? I probably will with it being a bank holiday tomorrow

  11. Watching WrestleMania 17, and JR just said as Kane is coming down to the ring that "this young man could be the future"

Whats interesting to me is that arguably and in my opinion, looking at what we know now, id say Kanes best years had already gone at this point. Kane at his best was from his debut in 1998 up until 2001 id say.

The years afteer this event there was sparks where Kane was interesting for a few months at a time (first losing the mask in 2003, turn on Taker and reuniting with Bearer for a bit in 2010, Team Hell No in 2013) as examples but nothing as consistent as his run from debut culminating in probabaly his best moment when he returned in early 2000 to a monster pop.

Just interesting to me that he was young at this point and from JRs comment they obviously at the time imagined he'd be an even bigger player over the next few years but it never really materialised

  12. Big Show v Shaq would have been really good about 6 years ago when they hsd their initial stare down on RAW. Big Show was a regular character and was over, Shaq was still in the public domain etc.

Now we havent seen Big Show for months outside of 1 appearance and Shaq is where he is. Cant see there being any interest in the match at all, waited far too long to do it

  13. WWE have stuck up every RAW from January 2011 to October 2011 on the network...apart from one episode, the CM Punk pipebomb episode. Thats interesting in itself, i know the odd episode is usually missing but this is literaly just that one.

Id imagine it will go on, probably being cut a bit, theyve got the other episodes where he rips apart Vince and HHH on a couple occasions so youd think the episode will be added eventually.

Once they complete the 2011 collections thats every single RAW on the network

  14. Firsr RAW ive watched in a while today, aside from the Golderg bits over the last few weeks and thought it was pretty good.

The Jericho/Owens stuff was spot on as usual and the main event was pretty good. Not quite sure how theyre going to get to the advertised Owens vs Reigns match at Roadblock so i imagine that match is off now.

Seems to be looking like Owens and Jericho v Rollins and Reigns but if they do that at the PPV it doesnt leave a lot for the rest of the show, neither does a 4 way which crossed my mind earlier. Probaly end up being Owens v Rollins one last time and Reigns/Jericho for the US Title, with Roadblock having the tag line "End of the line" it would kinda play into that having them face off one last time.

Looked like a heel turn for New Day? But then theyre facing Gallowa and Anderson next week so either theyre not, or theyll lose the belts and break up next week.

Enzo stuff wss pretty funny and the angle with Rusev was a decent show storyline, as was Strwman murdering Sami.

Anyone else find it odd tha5 Zayn was punished for losing a match via cheating but Rollins, who was also on the losing side was rewarded with a title shot. Odd logic.

  15. I'd be surprised if Triple H is still planning on having a match with Rollins at WrestleMania. It comes across quite clearly on TV that nobody really gives a shit about Seth. His babyface push has been quite the flop. The crowd at Mania would probably end up cheering for Hunter once again.

It doesnt help that they had Triple H turn up, screw him out the title, and then fuck off for a few months with Rollins unable to do anything to get his heat back.

What a terrible idea it was for Triple H to turn up for that one show and then dissapear, its been 4 months now. Even if he does come back to explain himself itz been so long people have either forgot or dont care. Surely something haschanged along the way, the plan couldnt bw for Triple H to be gone fr this long after dping what he did.

WWE have really fucked Rollins this year, firsrly not bringing him back as a babyface and then the aforementioned Triple H bollocks. Best thing fo Rollins now would be to reunite the shield and get a few months out of that
