Just finished the first match - anyone think Dillinger might be getting called up? The way it lingered on him at the end for an ovation etc made it seem like a goodbye

So Hell In A Cell tonight, not really been watching raw the past few weeks aside from Goldbergs return, whats the chances of this being a decent show?

 

Got the day off tomorrow so toying with the idea of staying up to watch it, but as RAW has been dull as fuck its hardly left me interested.

 

Any chance of any suprises, and have they confirmed what the main event is yet?

Think theyve only gone back to the white ropes this month so the pink rope stands out, would look weird in the middle of two similar red coloured ropes - i hope so anyway, i know its a little thing but i really like the brand coloured ropes

Aye im glad its been as the main event as well so I can skip the match and it saves me half hour.

 

Cant be arsed with womens wrestling and never have been. I just cant get into it, womens wrestling bores me no matter how good its perceived to be. I dont mind the odd 10 minute match but I cant be doing with it main eventing.

 

Way to make the Universal Championship a joke as well, its now the 3rd biggest match on the show

The 40 man Rumble was excellent. Probably the least predictable ever as well. Anyone who says they expected Alberto or Santino in the final two is lying.

I dunno like - it was widely expected that Del Rio was going to win, aye didnt expect Santino in the final 2 but that made it even more obvious who was going to win.

Doubt Goldberg will be around that long. Get the feeling its a one and done deal. He"s said for years he'd like to do 1 last match so his son can see him wrestle.

 

HOF at WrestleMania maybe but think that'll be it. Especially considering that Survivor Series is in Toronto and he'll no doubt get a largely negative reaction.

Wonder if tonight is the night we get the Goldberg announcement then. If it was the attitude era id go as far to say Goldberg will show up tonight but i doubt theyd have him appear unadvertised these days.

Both singles title matches were really good to great. The crowd seemed really into the whole show as well which helped. Aside from Corbin Swagger and Alexa but neither match lasted long enough to outstay its welcome.

 

The main stories on SmackDown interest me a lot more than RAW so this show was really fun to me. Ziggler was on top form, but the only way I see him not going back to being shit is turning heel but that doesnt seem lke where the story is going at all - IC Title.match should definately have been the main event.

 

Bray/Orton was ok, was hoping sister abigail might debut tonight after what happened at SmackDown!.Harper being back is great but not as a lackey, was hoping he might turn on Bray at the end.

 

Top couple of hours.though, the best of the 3 single brand PPVs so far for me. Always helps having a decent crowd and the show kept them engaged.

According to Meltzer and the story is on the observer website, Goldberg vs Lesnar is going to be announced for Survivor Series this weeek.

Does anyone know what the original plans were for SummerSlam 2000?

 

Im.watching the build up on the network now and ive just into Shane McMahons shortlived stable with mainly Angle, Benoit and Big Show. At the minute UndertKer has just been battered by them after Big Show returned and Angle and Benoit are battering Jericho and Rock.

 

As it happened at SummerSlam Taker ended up facing Kane, Angle and Triple H faced Rock, Benoit faced Jericho and Shane had a random match with Blackman.

 

Jericho/Benoit looks in the pipeline at the minute but the others show no signs of happening really, I imagine Undertaker would habe originally faced Big Show? Not even hinted at that Triple H will be in the title picture at the minute

Heel turn and a feud with Bayley to keep her occupied whilst Charlotte and Sasha fight over the title could be alright if she's proper back and WwE are behind her

 

But yeah youre probably right, squashed by Nia Jax for a couple weeks to get her a bit more credibility before her evetual release.

How long did the PPV go for last night?

 

No spoilers obv but im planning on watching it after work and wantee to check how muh time to set aside?

Effectively accusing Corbyn of a racist sympathiser, when its something Corbyn has actively protested against pretty much his whole life made Smith look like a right idiot. Of all things to attack Corbyn on man, jesus.

 

Corbyn was far from perfect tonight,and his naiveity, whilst commendable, in relation to trident, the islamic state and the situation in Syria, was still plain to see, he came across a lot better than Smith. Not that its difficult mind.

 

The whole situation is a mess like, but i do like Corbyn still

Goodnight Sweetheart was brilliant. Plenty in there to flesh out another series i reckon. Flipped the premise from exploring the past to discovering the future. Really good.

 

Never thought id say this but Lyndhursts rendition of Hello was actually quite moving.

Owens winning was a great moment - thered made it fairly obvious throughout the night that Rollins wasnt winning- they kept mentioning how he was the favourite and expected to win too many times, coupled with Rollins confidence you could tell something was up.

 

Didnt see the Triple H return coming at all, cracking suprise. The minute he went to get Owens though it clicked to me tht he was turning on Rollins - looking forward to next week to see how it plays out now!

So the Chicago allstate arena has announced on Facebook that Brock Lesnar will face Randy Orton in a rematch from SuMmerSlam at the live event on Saturday 24th of this month. The night before raws Clash Of Champions PPV.

 

 

What a strange match to do at a house show - potentially a huge rematch based on what happened at SummerSlam being wasted here.

Cant see past Roman Reigns winning the belt back next week.

The fact Balor won it suggests to me they want a face champion,.its too early for Cass so only leaves Reigns.

 

Probably means the next PPV either way is going to be headlined by Reigns vs Rollins as well which saves me having to waste 3 hours on another PPV.

 

Balors injury sucks but to stick it back on Rollins or Reigns would be really shit

Ive not watched an awful amount of him to be fair so i may not be viewing him in the context needed to fully understand him I guess.

 

I watched his NXT debut as well and that did nothing for me either, but others who had never seen him before were loving it.

 

I dunno, his whole act just seems a bit silly to me but he must be doing something right to have this fanbase.

Ive tried watching NXt on a few occasions now, paying special attention to Nakamura.

 

I just dont get it. Everyone on here seems.to love him so i assume its just me, but he's rubbish. His facials at the end of this weeks show was rubbish and the way he talks makes him sound stupid.

 

He just looks like an idiot to me and seems act like one. I dunno, maybe im missing something but i dont get him at all
