Jonyp
Obviously Galloway, Wolgfgang etc have worked a lot over here I didn't mean them, I meant the guys that no 1 had heard of, such as Scott Renfrick (is that his name?), Conscience etc. I mean I havent seen these guys so they may be great for all I know but I'm just very surprised that workers who many guys havent heard of are higher than people such as Terry Frazier, Sha Samuels, James Tighe etc
Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted July 30, 2007 Paid Members Share Posted July 30, 2007 Quite surprised that James Tighe is so lowAlso shoudln't these Scotish guys be a bit lower, I mean yeah I imagine they are all good at what they do but this the BRITISH 50 and if I'm right not a lot of these Scotish guys work outside of Scotland (may be wrong there but dont think I am)It's based on votes, isn't it? I mean, I hope it is, as I voted.

Paid Members Big Benny HG Posted July 31, 2007 Author Paid Members Share Posted July 31, 2007 (edited) *************************************************** No. 26 - "The Butcher" Scott Renwick 2006 Ranking: Not Listed 2005 Ranking: Not Listed Moving Up  Photo - Scott's Bebo page. Really.  SWA's tag team specialist is one of the highest new entrants to the UKFF 50, claiming his first ever placing in 2007.  A product of SWA's school system, Renwick began the summer of 2006 in a tag team with Raging Bull, known collectively as MEAT. Indeed, they were the reigning SWA Tag Team Champions until they were defeated by The Shamrockers (Damien O'Conor and Pete O'Neil) at "Battlezone" in September. Later that night, SWA storylines saw Raging Bull "fired" as per one of the stipulations of the Battlezone Match, leaving "The Butcher" to fly solo.  Falling to Darren Lewis and Damien O'Conor on SWA shows in October and November, Renwick also found time to head south and appear in England for Teesside-based 3CW in those months. This time teaming with his SWA rival O'Conor in a tag team dubbed "Britain's Most Wanted"....or simply "BMW" (complete with BMW [car] t-shirts), Renwick appeared on shows in North Ormesby and most notably in the opening match of the "Night of the Damned" show in Billingham, where he and O'Conor lost to "The Firm" (Vincent White and fellow SWA wrestler Adam Shame).  Renwick returned to winning ways in January 2007, where he unveiled Majik as his mystery partner at SWA "New Year's Retribution" to down BT Gunn and Darren Lewis, also bringing back Raging Bull in a managerial capacity. He then defeated Gunn in singles action in February and came out as the sole survivor of an elimination match at "Clan Wars" in March. By way of this victory, Renwick earned Raging Bull his place back on the SWA roster....only to be immediately betrayed and beaten down by his former tag team partner.  April saw Renwick clash with former main eventer Eric Canyon, before he set his eyes on tag team gold once again in a 3-way singles match for No. 1 contendership to the tag straps. Though Renwick was defeated by Damien O'Conor in that match in May, O'Conor named Scott as his partner for his tag title challenge. Resurrecting the Britain's Most Wanted team that they had comprised in 3CW, Renwick and O'Conor took advantage of internal disputes within the A-List duo of Wolfgang and Falcon (who were the champs by this point) to lift the straps at "Battlelines" in June.  Later that same night, pulling double-duty in his most high-profile SWA match to date, Renwick teamed with NWA British Heavyweight Champion Conscience in the main event to defeat his former-partner-turned-treacherous-enemy Raging Bull and the mysterious masked John Doe, who was then revealed as "Anarchist" Doug Williams.  Though his appearances have been limited to Scotland (in addition to SWA, Renwick has been a fixture for WILD, W3L, PBW and others) and a couple of 3CW shows, Renwick has risen through the ranks to become a standout star that Scottish fans are picking as one to watch and his strong placing in his first UKFF 50 is indication of how this man is considered by those who have seen him. alexander
I'm guessing Renwick has improved shit loads this year then? He wasn't horrible in the matches I've seen him in (On the first 4 SWA DVDs) but he was pretty far away from 26th best wrestler in the country...And certainly not better than Shamer. claymore
The Butcher has been one of the most consistently awesome things in Scotland. Credible physique, awesome selling, believable aggression. I reckon he deserves such a good placing. So how much does Scotland rock then?
alexander
I have to say, his look has improved loads judging by that photo. In fact, he looks practically cool. Â If he's improved as much as you say, then I would be very interested to see his match against Canyon, who is awesome. And if BT Gunn is any cop, I imagine the tag also featuring Maj and Lewis would be quite good. Â Scotland is pretty great right now... Plus you liked Briscoes/Kotarvin better than Sasaki/Miyamoto so you're probably some form of homosexual.

I think that's the only thing keeping it away from the #2 spot. I'm going to give it a proper watch sometime soon as I'm doing a wad of reviews for my own reference.
