Randy Orton hitting that RKO out of nowhere - its stuff like that that made me use Legend Killer as my user name! Ric Flair was fantastic! When he called The Rock a 'son of a bitch' I was marking! (But then, I mark for EVERYTHING that HHH and Evolution do!) The Evolution promo was brilliant. Ok, ok, so there were some drawbacks - but only a few. Cena and Show was a bit of a flop - I think the crowd involvement kept this one alive, the action was very poor - IMO.A lot of people complaining about the Raw Tag Titles! Ok, I agree, Lance Storm, Matt Hardy and Val Venis could have been in the bout, but man o man, what a performance form RVD. The Smackdown titles were the toilet break for me - but I was when I returned to find out that WGTT hadnt claimed the gold. Poor, poor Ultimo! Billy Kidman did really well in my opinion. (Other than the botched Shooting Star Press - take that Lesnar!)Y2J v Christian was everything I wanted and expected. A great match with a well executed heel turn. Didnt Trish look hot? She is a lot sexier as a bitch! I put money on Trish joining Christian - I rock! (And i'm slightly richer now!)The evening gown thing - kinda makes you embarassed to be watching - kinda entertaining too though! I mean, like somebody said earlier - If I want to see girls in the underwear rolling around, then I'll get some porn. But still, its Stacy!The Undertaker thing didnt really bother me - cause in my opinion he was going to suck either way! I am a little frustrated though, seeing as ALL the video footage airing on Raw was soley of The Deadman Taker. I mean, they could have showed flashes of both versions if they were just going to fuse them together. A tad misleading, but like I said, it didnt really bother me!Oh my God, Molly is bald! Mackem Man, I'm sorry!Kurt Angle v Eddie was great. i loved it when Eddie loosened his boot. Then Angle stared at Eddie and Eddie said 'Oh shit essa' - Real latino Heat moment. would have like to see a few more nearfalls! But hey, I'm very grateful!I stood up and started clapping when Vince made his entrance! (Yes, I'm a mark! )Brock and Goldberg. I always knew Austin would be going over in the end. I expected/hoped for a few more power moves and to be honest, the way the match was layed out, Brock never looked like a credible opponent. Was it just me or did Brock not look like winning at any point? Plus his 'Up Yours' to the fans looked very real and heart felt. I felt sorry for the guy in a way. He looked very emotional out there. And then the main event. My Hero. My God. My HHH. Defeated. Tapped Out. Lets just say, Benoit and Eddie werent the only ones crying at the final bell! I must have been the only person in the world screaming for HHH to reach out and grab the ropes.(He could have reached them with his legs!)So Hunter tapped out on the biggest PPV ever! His backstage politics really came out there didnt they!The main event was superb. And HHH was the 'glue' that held the action together. HHH - you are the man. Long live HHH! I was tapping my hand like a mad man trying to get Triple H to do the same at the end!I am glad both those greedy sods didnt get ther hands on the belt. But good work from HHH thought.Every move HBK made, there was silence, the crowd didn't give a toss about him, and righty so. It was all for Benoit.I was standing up on my feet during the Goldberg vs Lesnar match. Great atmosphere and loved the smart crowd. However I felt a bit upset for the treatment Bill Goldberg got. It looked like he was crying at the end because of it. Fuck off Lesnar, hope to never see you again....hope to see Bill back though.Evolotion vs Rock and sock : loved it! Much better than I expected as a result of weekly poor tag matches on raw, I LOVED, the Rock vs Flair interaction, LOVED it when crowd marked out for flair and booed rock, however was disapointed that the rock didn't get booed out of the building. Good to see orton put over.Eddie vs Angle : amazing : it was treated like a proper sport, great work by Tazz on commentary and an amazing match.Taker return : yeah cool! Crap match, but amazing entrance.Christian vs Y2J was an excellent match, got a good length of time aswell. Loved the Trish heel turn, shes looks to be an excellent heel!But there was something missing still, no surprises, no Hulk and NO BRET.I want to know what Bret is playing at. He moans and whines in his interviews about how he is the greatest and we should all love him and how we should feel so sorry for him and how the fans think he is the greatest....so why the fuck couldn't you turn up and get the biggest reaction of all time and the greatest wrestling moment of all time. I know im being selfish but I was hoping Bret would give me and his fans a special moment like that. Well Bret, HBK and HHH did an amazing job at WM, they put over Benoit and produced one of the greatest main events of all time, Vince has given us an amazing tradition an amazing show and thankyou Vince.... if you are going to moan about them in the future then you can go Fuck Yourself.No major MAJOR twists of turns, to change the face of WWE.But an amazing show, and one of my favourite main events of all time, I was totally 100% into that match as though it was real life, and marked out big time at the end.WOW. Some of the highlights for me were:-The Intro with Vince, Shane and the little oneOrton's TKOGreat to see some of the legends backJesse running for office~~~~~~~~~~~Both Main title matches were greatmowwy going bold ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwTaker fucking rules. Again!" meant that Vince would step down as chairman and Shane would become chairmen. I was at on the dge of my seat for all of the oppurtunitys that they could have had Bret come out. (Interestingly, the type of people who sit by a computer while watching WrestleMania.)People who didn't enjoy this show should stop watching WWE right now. Seriously. Don't waste your time. This is the first time I've ever watched any PPV whilst on the computer, mostly to talk to a few mates who were watching it an Uni through MSN, and it certainly ruined the enjoyment for me, to be honest.I watched it again twice the next day (already knowing the reaction Brock/Goldberg got, so not expecting anythign more), and I enjoyed the hell out of it.To be honest I think I went in with far too high expectations on the night watching it live. brett Posted March 17, 2004 Share Posted March 17, 2004 Been they live was one of the greatest momments of my life.Orton getting the pin on the hardcore ledgend was one of the momments where you knew he was going to be big. Rock and Foley were so over it was crazy.Christian and Trish dont know if they showed the kiss as they looked like they had went to a promo.Cena finally beating the show and at last we have a good US champ that may defend the belt.Takers entrance was amazing, the whole floor area filled with smoke, shame it is the same biker undertaker with a hat. Also as soon as we heard bearer we all went crazy. I got some real heat of new yorkers for shouting for HBK, including a rather nice fuck off from somebody. The way the crowd went from Goldberg "You sold out" to Brock then chantes Austin was brilliant. Its Wrestlemania, wether they were Smarks or normal, those fans were the real dedicated fans and they spoke up. Brock showed his inexperience and really let that crowd get to him too much. I loved WM20, a mate of mine was 9th row back and watching the event and seeing him waving was cool. Some of the best things for me,Ric Flair totally on formFoleys elbow off the apron~~~~~~Randy Orton getting the pin"The Buffet is closed"~~~~~~The fans speaking outVince calming them downTrish heel turn~~Angle vs Eddie (My fav match of the card)Benoit winning by tap out~~~~~~~~Bad things (not many)Rikishi and Scotty retaining in like 4 secondsAPA even being on the cardEvening Gown match (if theres no tits, then dont bother WWE(tm!))HBK bleeding everywhere again! NO NEED!Overall my favourite card of 2004 so far, had all the things a Wrestlemania needed. I knew Bret wouldnt show up so im not dissapointed he didnt. 619 Posted March 17, 2004 Share Posted March 17, 2004 Well, what an event that was.The occasional let-down - the Cruiserweight Open was rushed (and Ultimo fell over twice during his entrance!) and both tag team title matches were pointless. But as for the good points....- Benoit and Guerrero's finale. Well, Benoit and Guerrero THROUGHOUT, in fact. Crikey, you'd almost believe it was real. I was marking out at the end of both matches. And to be fair to Triple H, give him his due; he put in a fantastic main event performance for the first time in ages.- Never been a great fan of Trish, but she looked absolutely steaming hot after her heel turn and lip-licking kiss with Christian. Yum.- Undertaker's return. Alright, so the match was a squash but good to see him back, with druids and Paul Bearer in tow. Sadly, the camera truck completely missed the moment he sat up, taking a little bit of gloss off the performance.- Vinny Mac doing everything right - taking the acclaim without forcing himself onto the card. Well played.- The Rock's motivational speech to Foley, complete with mimicking Hurricane and Rosey. Fantastic stuff.- Stacy Keibler. Mmmmmmmmmmm.- Cena injecting some real passion into the US Title after the lousy Big Show run. - Finally, Bobby Heenan's Hall of Fame speech about wishing Monsoon was there.
