Chico Torres Posted July 17 Posted July 17 The problem that we saw in the early episodes of Monday Night Raw in 1993 is that when Brutus returned he wasn’t sympathetic at all and as he was doing a promo outlining all the woes that had befallen him with his injury and his wife leaving him, the crowd was booing him and telling him to kill himself. So they would have definitely cheered a “heel” Hogan in this scenario, the fans couldn’t give a fuck about our Beefer by that point. Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted July 20 Paid Members Posted July 20 Liking the Sheikh and Japanese Hogan thing, although the Japanese storyline suggested so far feels a bit old-fashioned, like how they might have done it during WWII. I was thinking that, if they were to do such a storyline, it would be more like a Corporate Rock character, like Honda Hogan or Hitachi Hogan or something (well, probably not that as those are trademarks, but you get the idea). Masa Chono and Kensuke Sasaki as bodyguards, Fuji as manager/owner of the Fuji Corporation, etc. And like someone suggested earlier, lots of silly Japanese-style adverts. Maybe change up the finisher to some kind of submission, like the Tokyo Torture Rack or the Hiroshima Bear Hug. Quote
