The results went into the opening post this morning and the table has just been uploaded here. The average score this time out was 9.95 points - obviously much higher than usual but the equivalent of a very low-scoring normal round. It was again left to SNRN10 to buck the trend as joint best performer, as he extends his lead to a whopping 22 points with not much of the season remaining. Level with him on 16 was Vegeta, who moves up to second spot by virtue of that haul. Rory was only a point behind and is now into fourth position in the standings.

Outright worst scorer was former champ hbk4life, whose season has mostly been a bit of a shocker thus far, but ultimo also officially gets 3 points as 7 of his 20 bets were void. Unlike Mungo and Seph, he seemed to think he could get away with it by not acknowledging the late picks at all! Had his guesses counted, they'd have still only netted him 8 points, which was what Seph managed in order to close the gap on TUFCfan to a mere 5. He posted all his predictions on time, but could only muster a measly 4 points this week.

As for the matches: well, the two capitulations in the Championship on Friday proved difficult to foresee, but the routine home win at Glanford Park was somehow even tougher. Less surprising were triumphs on the road for Celtic and Bury, but the exact scoreline occasionally turned out to be elusive. Home reverse at the Priestfield and Abbey Stadia were more of a mixed bag, alongside the two narrow home wins in the EPL on the Saturday. In between, the similar outcome in Rome in this round's sole continental fixture was fairly useful.

Onto the second half of the card, and Sunday's lunchtime stalemate generally caught participants out, before the minor cup final north of the border yielded one-pointers for most of the field. Livingston have now actually won more matches in that (essentially meaningless) competition than in the league during this campaign, I believe. The North East Derby was also quite fruitful, and though the lower divisions redeemed themselves somewhat on Monday, the very last game from the set of 20 caused relative havoc with a shock top-flight loss for CL-chasing City.

Okay, thanks for your patience over this past couple of strange rounds. Things are back to normal until the end of the 2014-15 term, starting with tomorrow. The regular set of 10 should be up then before lunchtime...
