The final scores are now in the original post, but goals were at a premium in quite a few matches. Scoring wasn't much higher in our own league, so there's little change in the table, but we'll take a closer look at it in a couple of days anyway.

As I said on Sunday night, not much to report this time out. TUFCfan was top scorer despite a meagre 8-point haul, while ultimo closed the gap at the summit as one of a clutch of participants just behind on 7 points, but that doesn't do him much good at this late stage. Del and hbk4life were the joint worst performers among those who managed to get all 10 picks in on time, but SNRN10's lateness sees him fail to register a point yet again. This allowed niff to close to within 6 points of her rival in second to last position. Things could still get interesting at the wrong end of the standings.

To find an explanation for more low scores, look no further than the three stalemates in the English top flight. One was widely expected to be an away win, but as Swansea also demonstrated in tonight's win at Wigan, they aren't mentally on the beach in their sandals just yet. The other two goalless draws were games people generally thought would have goals in them, with West Ham perhaps more favoured if there was going to be a winner in that particular clash.

Meanwhile, not so many foresaw West Brom losing at home by the odd goal in five, but Villa's late winner at Carrow Road produced the most fruitful outcome of the lot. Chelsea scoring almost as late at Old Trafford the following day robbed quite a few players of a point, however.

North of the border, nobody guessed there'd be a seven-goal thriller at Inverness (understandably), but hardly anyone even backed the home side to win in the first place! A surprising reverse for Dundee United on their own turf didn't do most pickers much good either. Elsewhere, Freiburg's march towards Europe continued with a victory against struggling Augsburg, which proved useful to a majority of you, whereas Hamburg's failure to overturn Wolfsburg didn't help nearly as much.

All right, that'll do. New thread with another ordinary card coming up very soon.
