I've been told Stockton is a bit better and not far away so should stay there instead. The only thing anyone can tell me is that they hung a monkey and John Hughes manages United. Glenryck Pilchards Posted January 20, 2013 Share Posted January 20, 2013 Like with any other North Eastern town there are nice parts and some shady parts, unfortunately there are more shady areas in Hartlepool than nice! My other half works in Hartlepool and when she comes in I will get her to provide a profile for you, but if I was you I would probably find somewhere in Billingham. The centre of Billingham is a ghost town but there are several private estates with good amenities, cheap rent and only a 10 minute drive to Hartlepool. Will only be there durong the week and back in Glasgow at the weekends. Anyone play poker in the north east. Everyone knows each others business round there and it's just generally grim! On the poker front I am not sure what goes on in Hartlepool, but there are two casinos in Stockton. There is a Grosvenor Casino in Stockton Centre and a Gala Casino at Teesside Park. Will spend most of my time working when Im down during the week so I can get up the road on a friday. Need to find somewhere cheap to rent.
