Go team!

Well done Finlay, great work on the reads. You stood out as town right from the end of D1, but obviously not enough that the scum tried to knock you off.

It's unfortunate that the more active players are the ones who get picked up on as scum. because they played really well and obviously were some of the most active players in the game. Kenny stood out on D1 once you read back after the Mike flip, and Chris gave himself away with the way he attacked me for my vote on Kenny D2. I did think it was Seph at first, but after the doc claim went uncountered it had to be Chris.

I would never have picked Carbomb and Nexus without hitting them for lurking or by process of elimination at the end.

And FINALLY...

Here are the original PM's sent out to each player...

Super Cena / El Nicko Loco - Rodney Mack (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

You're Super Cena. And everybody OF COURSE remembers that the Mack Militant teamed up briefly with the REAL Super Cena. You're a vanilla WWE wrestler, meaning you have no extraordinary powers apart from a keen sense of investigation. Since the roster split, factions have formed with ill intentions on both brands, and you'll have to root out TWO groups, keen to take over both rosters, and an even more secretive group that wishes to stab you ALL in the back...beware of who you trust...

You win when the RAW and Smackdown scum are eliminated.

-----------------------

Lion of the Midlands - Chief Morley (RAW Scum goon)

You're everyone's favorite version of Sean Morley, Chief Morley!!!

Eric Bischoff is starting to get a little bit tired of your company, so he's reduced your role to that of a mere goon...but you want to win him back over, get back on his good side - and you can do that by helping rid the game of everyone opposed to him - by helping the RAW brand rule supreme in the WWE. You win when there's no possible way the WWE, inner circle or Smackdown scum group can take your group out.

However, information has come your way that there's a traitor in your midst. One out of your three RAW scum friends has more worrying aspirations - to take the entire WWE out of the hands of Vince McMahon...you know that traitor isn't you; but let's hope whoever it is doesn't fool whoever it isn't into taking you out...

Your scum friends are SMS and brownie. A quick topic will be set up closer to game-time.

Now, if anyone else finds out your REAL identity perhaps they'll suspect you. Oh no...so here's a fake one, alongside a fake PM:

Kurt_Angle_594341a.jpg

Kurt Angle (Vanilla WWE wrestler

2003 was the year of Kurt Angle's babyface run. He's now not only loyal to the three I's (remember them?) but also to the fans. He'd never betray them by being part of a scum group. However, he's also not been back long enough to have any special powers. You're a vanilla WWE wrestler, with no real established role. You know something's wrong, and that something is a secret scum group (or two...) lurking in the background. Route them out, and you'll win the game. Beware of the inner circle...in fact, one of your own is a member. But heck, if you rid the town of the scum teams then they're nothing to worry about anyway...

-------------------------------------------------------

brownie - Eric Bischoff (RAW Scum leader, Inner Circle member)

You lead the RAW scum under false pretences. They're useful for you to have around, but just so that you can achieve a greater goal. Don't let them find that goal out. You want to take over the entire WWE...they're aware a traitor exists in their group, and they know he wants to rule the entire WWE...but they don't know it's you. They don't know they're following a fake. You have final say on all kills. So if the group decides they want to kill one person, feel free to change your mind and kill another. Just don't let them find out why...

You win if the inner circle are left alive, and nobody else could possibly take you out.

Here are your teams:

RAW Scum: You, SMS and Lion of the Midlands.

Inner Circle: You, Family Guy PMSL and Kenny McBride

Now, if anyone were to find out that you're Bischoff they might suspect you. So have a fake identity:

812e.jpg

The Hurricane (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

Who wants to go toe-to-toe with the superhero?! Not the RAW and Smackdown scum, that's for sure...you might be a vanilla WWE roster member, but you have a sense of justice, peace and good morals. So use them to root out the scum, hero. You might not have secret in game powers, but you have secret hidden identity - mild mannered reporter Gregory Helms. Don't let anyone find that out hero, your life...depends on it...

You win when the RAW and Smackdown scum are eliminated. Of course, there's an inner circle of evil too - they want to take over the entire WWE. Oh, and you have a traitor in your midst. But heck, get the right lynch each night and you won't even have to worry about them. Easy.

-----------------------------------------------------

Dazz - Zach Gowen (Vanilla WWE wrestler/inner circle member)

Zach Gowen. Buddie of Hulk Hogan, conquerer of Matt Hardy. What a year 2003 has been for you. Except...you were attacked by Brock Lesnar.

He broke your leg, and now you live in fear of him, to the point you've become his lackey. You've betrayed your WWE friends to join the inner circle alongside Brock, an elite group of WWE stars eager to take over the ENTIRE WWE. The town win when the RAW and Smackdown scum are eliminated. You? You win if the inner circle are left alive at the end of the game, and no one can possibly take you out. None of you can die. But heck, you beat Matt Hardy, so you can beat anyone...right?

Your inner circle allies are Kenny McBride and Brownie. A topic will be set up closer to the time so you can get to know eachother...

And here's a fake PM you can quote from incase someone cottons on to you:

Zach Gowen (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

Zach Gowen. Buddie of Hulk Hogan, conquerer of Matt Hardy. What a year 2003 has been for you. Except...you were attacked by Brock Lesnar. Now bitter and angry, your sole goal is to rid the WWE of all that's wrong with it. And that means the RAW and Smackdown scum. Deal with them, take them out, and you win the game. Oh - and another thing. There's also an inner circle floating about with the goal of taking over the ENTIRE WWE. But heck, if you defeat the RAW and Smackdown scum you'll be fine anyway. So don't worry about them. They won't be a problem...right?!

---------------------------------------------

SMS/Carbomb - Triple H (RAW scum roleblocker)

Oh, SMS. You've been unlucky in these games. Never scum, but always framed as such. Maybe that'll help you survive in this game, when you actually are scum. Triple H was accused of blocking superstars from reaching the main events in 2003. As such you're the RAW scum roleblocker, alongside Brownie, and Lion of the Midlands. You win when the conditions are such, that no other team or town could possible take your group out.

But hang on, information has come your way. There's a traitor in your own group, someone with ambitions of taking over the entire WWE with an elite group of superstars...there's three of them, one town, one Smackdown scum, and one WWE wrestler...and they can't be done with you being alive when the game ends...

So, beware. Good luck. You can block one person each night. Your decision is final. Your scum buddies can have a consensus, but that doesn't mean you have to follow it. Remember, one of them has a hidden agenda...

A Quick Topic will be set up closer to the time.

But heck, you don't want to TELL anyone you're Triple H. So have a fake identity:

RVD_1.jpg

Rob Van Dam (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

In 2003, Rob Van Dam was SUPPOSEDLY not considered anything special. That's why he was kept away from the titles, he was nothing more than a vanilla WWE wrestler. Just like you. You're vanilla, no powers to help you get by. The weed smoking probably doesn't help you either, you might want to stop that. It causes paranoia. You might start to think that a RAW and Smackdown scum exist, and in order to win you'll have to eliminate them. You also might begin to think there's a secret inner circle, an elite group looking to take over the ENTIRE WWE. But even the paranoia shouldn't make you worry about that. I mean, if you lynch the right people every night they can't possibly win...

-----------------------------------------------------------

seph - Stevie Richards (WWE Doctor)

2003 was all about Stevie Night Heat. You ruled that roster. Little did people know though you're also a qualified doctor. You wouldn't make that public until your early TNA run when you wrestled as Doctor Stevie, but yes, you're a real, genuine legitimate doctor, and as a result you can protect one person - any person - each night from the scum so that they can't be killed. You can even protect yourself, but Stevie Richards is a brave man. He's a fighter. He's hard as nails. He wouldn't do THAT, right?!

You win when the RAW and Smackdown scum are eliminated. Oh, and there's an inner circle who want to take over the entire WWE. Almost like a third scum group, except one town member is involved. But heck, if you lynch scum each night they won't even be a problem. When there's six of them the odds should be in your favour, right?!

Chris Stone - Nathan Jones (Smackdown scum goon)

Nathan Jones, the Colossuss of Boggo Road. The man who made his debut in WWE as a protege of The Undertaker. But then disappeared, and returned as a lackey of Paul Heyman, which is what you are now. You're Smackdown scum alongside Triple A and Kenny McBride. You win when the conditions are such that neither the town, nor the other scum group OR the inner circle can win. What's that...the inner circle?! An elite group of WWE superstars with the aim of taking over the entire WWE. You're not one of them. But one of your team are. So beware.

But you don't want anyone to find out you're scum, so here's a fake PM to throw them off-scent...

Nathan Jones (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

Nathan Jones, the Colossuss of Boggo Road. The man who made his debut in WWE as a protege of The Undertaker. Currently feuding with the FBI, you've a criminal past that you want to leave behind. You've served your time, and paid for your crime. And now you need to prove to everyone that really, you're not a bad guy. You can do that by eliminating the RAW and Smackdown scum and winning the game for the WWE. There's also an inner circle group, an elite team that want to take over the entire WWE. But honestly, don't worry about them. If you take out the scum every night (and there's six of them...easy!) you'll win the game anyway. And with your criminal past I'm sure you'll know scum when you see it, right?

--------------------------------------

spotlightmagnet1 - Chris Jericho (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

The Highlight of the Night!! The Ayatolla of Rock-N-Rolla!! The...vanilla WWE wrestler?! No...that can't be right. You're Chris Jericho...you're something special. You're not playing second fiddle to the RAW and Smackdown scum...In fact, you're probably one of them. No..you're too GOOD to be one of them. You're a scum of your own!! You win when the RAW and Smackdown scum teams are eliminated. Oh, and there's also an Inner Circle. An elite group of WWE superstars aiming to take over the entire company. Of course, you're elite so you'll be one of th-Oh, hang on. You're not. You're too good for them too. That's it. You're too big to take over the WWE, if anything they should be trying to take over you. Yeah, that's it. Now go take out those RAW and Smackdown scum members.

--------------------------------------

tom - Hulh H-erm...Mr America (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

Hulk Hogan? He's special. He has special powers. But Mr America? He's a rookie, a new WWE superstar. He's simply not wrestled for long enough to have developed any special powers. He's a vanilla WWE wrestler. But he's a hero. His aim is to root out the RAW and Smackdown scum teams that exist and win the game for the WWE. That's all he needs to do, eliminate those scum. Oh, and beware of the inner circle, of course. An elite group of superstars aiming to take over the entire WWE. They're posing as scum, and even as town...it might be tough for Mr America to notice them, he doesn't know much about posing as someone that he's not. He'll just have to be alert...

---------------------------------

Snake Plissken - John Cena (WWE Doctor)

Word. Yes, people sometimes forget that John Cena has a doctorate - in Thuganomics of course. Back in 2003, John Cena was a star heel on the rise, and even had (and lost) his first WWE title match to Brock Lesnar. But John Cena was young in those days and kinda hid his sense of morals. But it's there. You're a WWE Doctor (but shhhhhh...keep it secret!!) and you're able to protect one superstar - any superstar) from death each night. Choose wisely, though...there are TWO sets of scum out there - the RAW and Smackdown scum - and you win when they're eliminated. There's also an elite group of superstars looking to take over the entire WWE. They're known as the inner circle. But you don't really need to worry about them. They can only win if they're alive at the end of the game, and if you eliminate all six scum that's them out of the way...so it's an easy job for you, no?!

--------------------------------

unfitfinlay - The Undertaker, WWE cop

The phenom. The Conscience of the WWE. You, and only you, have the ability to investigate someone each night and find out whether or not they're doing what you suspect they are - namely, taking out other WWE superstars. Yes, there are both RAW and Smackdown scum kicking about, and it's up to you to destroy them. You win when they're eliminated. Oh, and on top of that there's an inner circle. So don't trust everyone, even if your sense of detection tells you you can...

------------------------------

Triple A/Nexus - Paul Heyman (Smackdown Scum leader)

In 2003 Paul Heyman became Smackdown general manager...that hasn't happened for you yet, but you've gathered together a group to make it so. Kenny McBride and Chris Stone shall assist you in your quest to become the boss...you win when the conditions are such that no one in your group can be killed...the threats of the RAW scum, the WWE and the inner circle must be nulified.

What's that...the inner circle?! Oh, sorry - they're just a group of elite WWE wrestlers who're aiming to take over the entire WWE. And one of them is in your group. Oh dear. Be careful who you trust, Paul...

If anyone found out that you're Heyman they might suspect you. So have a fake ID.

Eddie_Guerrero.jpg

Eddie Guerrero (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

Viva la raza!! Having just overcome your demons, you haven't had time to develop any special powers yet. But you're a good guy, and one of the most over wrestlers in the company. So do the right thing. Serve the fans well and help root out the RAW and Smackdown scum that are running rife. You win when they're eliminated. There's an inner circle too - an elite group of stars aiming to take over the entire WWE. So beware. But you lie, you cheat and you steal - so you should be well versed in discovering who else is doing the same...

--------------------------

Dan Williams Kane (WWE One Shot Vigilante)

You're The Big Red Machine. Ready to explode at any time, because your mask is about to be removed...And you WILL explode, and kill someone, that's for sure. But only on one night, one night of your choice. Your mask can be removed, and you can show your true colours, killing ONE person, and one alone. It's your choice when that night is, and who that person is. But be careful. There are two sets of scum, the RAW scum and the Smackdown scum. You win when they're both taken out. But if you kill the wrong person you're making their life a heck of a lot easier. And there's also the inner circle, an elite group of superstars looking to take over the entire WWE. Look out for them too. But you can kill...do it too soon and you risk killing an innocent. But wait too long and you risk being killed yourself...beware, Kane...and beware OF Kane...

----------------------

Kenny McBride - Brock Lesnar (Smackdown Scum role blocker/Inner Circle Member)

You're the next big thing...and you know it. The WWE is simply too big for you. That's why you're trying to take it over. You're assisting Paul Heyman as part of the Smackdown scum, but you're also a member of the inner circle...a secret elite group of wrestlers aiming to take over the entire WWE. You can only do that if all of your inner circle buddies are alive at the end of the game, and no one else is in the position to take you out.

Your Smackdown scum teammates are: Triple A and Chris Stone.

Your inner circle buddies are: Dazz and brownie.

Of course, if anyone found out that you're Lesnar, you'd be dead. So here's a fake ID:

4750782.jpg

Rowdy Roddy Piper (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

Hot Rod, the master manipulator...seeing that you ARE that, you'll be well versed in detecting scum. You'll know who's trying to manipulate YOU - which is just as well because there are two scum groups trying to do just that. You win when you eliminate the RAW and Smackdown scum. Oh, and your manipulation detection might come in handy when it comes to the dreaded inner circle, an elite group of stars looking to take over the entire WWE...good luck!!

------------------------

Lawz/Bristep123 - Dawn Marie (WWE One Shot Vigilante)

Remember that night in 2003 when Dawn Marie had so much sex with Al Wilson that he died? Well, you have one more night like that in you. Use it wisely. You can take out one superstar at any night, Dawn Marie. Just try not to choose whoo based on looks because your win goal is to eliminate BOTH the RAW and Smackdown scum groups. There's also the inner circle kicking about, an elite group of stars looking to take over the entire WWE...so you might want to keep an eye out for them too...

-----------------

Teedy Kay -Sean O'Haire (Vanilla WWE wrestler)

But I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know. You looked like a star on the rise in 2003, a future World Champion for sure...except you weren't. Which is why you're a vanilla WWE wrestler, that's all you ever were. But you can change that, show the McMahon's they were wrong about you...WIN the game by eliminating both the RAW and Smackdown scum. On top of that the manipulation skills you learned from being managed by Roddy Piper might come in handy, you can use them to detect the Inner Circle, an elite group of superstars looking to take over the entire WWE...

-----------------

And Mikes, since he doesn't like flavour...

You're Edge. Vanilla WWE wrestler.

Bravo Ron, good game well run.

Reading the scum threads I'm glad that I managed to appear scummy enough to avoid night kills. I realised Mike was a mislynch as soon as Lion's vote got cast, by that time it was too late to go elsewhere and it gave good wagon info for day 2.

My D2 Kenny vote was designed to draw out scum, but I was definitely taking a chance that Kenny was one of the scummers himself. I saw enough sideline-sitting and the odd post from him that gave me a good gut feeling.

I don't think there was anyone who played a bad game, low activity players aside everyone did well. The Nexus modkill really hurt the SD team, and the cross kill of Chris Stone just f'ed up Raw's chances since it left the SD roleblocker alone, little chance of winning and pissed at the IC betrayal.

Still, I feel bad for finlay making these great choices and having them die on him and be unable to reveal. Meant he was around at the end to make that final important read though.

This game served to remind me that when Dan is accused of being scum, he acts even scummier. If Carbomb had claimed Vig at the end along with Dan and I he might have had a better chance of convincing everyone that Dan and I were scum over him as opposed to Teedy.

Who's game is next then?

Well played guys. I know scum would want me gone early (I deliberately played in a way to get scum to want me gone sharpish). I just didn't expect them to get it done via a lynch day one.

Finlay played a blinder, shame he read so well and yet was unable to announce his reads each time.

As I said in the dead thread, it was unfortunate that Smackdown got kinda stuffed over by an unavoidable mod-kill, but alas it happened. They still played well afterwards and if Stone hadn't taken the bullet may have had a short at winning.

Next game is Carbomb's (which I guarentee I wont be posting in, unless I need to step in to back-up mod for whatever reason, as I know the entire set-up, and it wont be open). It looks like a solid game, so hopefully it will go well.

And an edit - seph wins the "newbie" award after an excellent game

What forum was that on?

Come on now - all newcomers played well, I was particularly impressed with seph though, towards the end he really came into his own. If you read the thread over I'd hope you agree. Dazz was great too, I hope he joins in the next game.

Well, I suppose I should reveal my gameplay now?? Well, I'm not going to as I may use it again at some point and if it works may offer it up as a formal gambit, which I shall entitle The Cena Gambit.

I will say it helped me pick up on McScum almost straight away. Stone on looking back at what I was doi g it gave me hi. Too, but I didn't realise it until after he was dead.

I think Teedy managed to realise very quickly what I was doing andnplayed along. My favourite part was watching scum pick up on my possible breadcrumbs in coded txt, when in actuality I put it in plain view all along. However winding McScum up when I knew I had him was hilarious to me. Sorry Kenny.

I nearly did the same to Bristep too and that's why I backed off when I did. I'm amazed I've made it an end game. Still my partner in crime Teedy wellnplayed sir, you were my VIP. Brownie, at some point I hope we get to put the band back together with Teedy or JLM that would be amazeballs.

Well done Ron and well played.

I have to say it was abundantly clear to me what you were up to, I know it was mentioned that I jumped on that style, I'd have to say I approached that stylisation from a different angle.

I think it stemmed from the slight bitterness I came into this game with, was looking for the minutest of insults to be given to highlight them. I was also keen to highlight to everyone the massive amount of bullshit that can be spewed out of peoples imaginations to get people lynched.

My play was clear town, with a hint of scum to keep me alive throughout, but those that were switched on namely Snake and Bristep (who I think were pivotal to the town win) wouldn't fall for it.

It's why I'm very shocked at Seph winning an MVP award, I thought his play was guided by fabrication and he even admitted it. I'm sure he would've still voted for me come the last day if he'd had gotten the time to. His whole game was geared up to lynch me, Town, through creations of his own mind.

Either way I loved this game compared to the last few, I took the piss in it, and was glad a few took a hold of that idea and helped me run with it.

It was Seph's 2nd game dude, it's not like he had the experience to differentiate between scum and town 'acting scum' to gather a reaction. He thought you were scummy, and in doing so made us think he might be scummy and he almost got lynched for it. New players are far keener to hold on to their reads, and scum are good at exploiting that.

On the plus side, scum helping to push through the Mike Castle lynch on D1 stopped us losing or revealing one of our Doctors instead. Lots of scum missteps throughout (loved Kenny's comments in the scum thread about guaranteed scum victory IF ONLY EVERYONE HAD LISTENED TO HIM OH WOE!) helped us along but I think there was a definite 'closing of the net' between Finlay's reads, and Snake/Teedy/myself drawing out reactions.

I also just realised that we almost lynched a doctor D1 AND D2. Had either of those happened things could have gone very differently.

As much as I'd have liked to see an IC win I'm really glad the town have finally won a game. It's about time. I also really enjoyed modding this game, so thanks to everyone for really giving it a go, to Mike for helping out when I was unsure and to all the replacement players, who really pulled me out of a difficult situation early on. And well done to the town team who really pulled together as a unit towards the end.
