Rumoured card for UFC 145 on April 21st. This was originally gonna be held in Canada but was moved to Atlanta.

Main Card (PPV)

Jon Jones vs. TBA (either Rashad Evans or Dan Henderson depending on what happens with Rashad/Davis) - LHW Title

Rory MacDonald vs. Che Mills

Brendan Schaub vs. Ben Rothwell

Miguel Torres vs. Michael McDonald

Mark Hominick vs. Eddie Yagin

Prelims (Most likely be on FX or FUEL and ufc.tv over here)

Maximo Blanco vs. Marcus Brimage

Travis Browne vs. Chad Griggs

Anthony Njokuani vs. John Makdessi

Mac Danzig vs. Efrain Escudero

Keith Wisniewski vs. Chris Clements

I'd completely missed this and was unaware MAXI was now in the UFC, so I am very much looking forward to seeing his debut in the promotion. Rothwell/Schaub is probably the most unappealing fight on the whole card. Hopefully Che Mills gets another victory although part of me thinks he is being thrown to the wolves here, while I've got a hunch that this will be Michael McDonald's coming out party.

YES. Massively looking forward to seeing MAXIMO BLANCO do his thing in the UFC.

In this very special version of the cage, Bret Freeman and Brad Wharton were joined by two very talented fighters, Danielle "The Curse" West, and Lisa "Lights Out" McCallum, talking about their careers thus far, what's to come in the future. Plus, the team were joined on Skype by British MMA legend Ian Butlin to preview this weeks UFC on Fox. Also, a look at a classic Michael Bisping fight in Cage Warriors.

does anyone know what the crack is with strikeforce being shown in the uk it doesn't look as though primetime are showing it any more on ppv

Yeah I dunno what's up with that. Primetime haven't had much of anything on for ages now, I think the last event they had was Pacquiao/Marquez 3 back in Nov wasn't it? Doesn't look good for them imo.

The Dec Strikeforce with Melendez vs Masvidal was on Eurosport HD on 24 hour delay but I don't think the Rockhold/Jardine show was on there. Fuck knows whats going on.

I wish they'd just get it on ESPN. It's all Zuffa now so it's not like it would be competition and the fighters will probably end up in the UFC eventually anyway so why not?

Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller confirmed for UFC on FOX 3 in New Jersey on May 5th!

Great fight. Winner could fight for the UFC Lightweight Championship.

I love that fight. Gotta be a #1 contenders fight, I can't think of anyone higher up than whoever wins that. Especially if Nate wins, that's Gomi, Cerrone and Miller in a row. Would be hard to deny him a shot.

Winner of Pettis/Lauzon probably isn't too far behind. Put the winner of that vs someone like Edson Barboza and whoever comes out on top would have to be pretty close to title contention. And Cerrone or Maynard could have worked their way back up by then too.

Lightweight's a crazy division. There's so many contenders who can all lose to each other on any given day. Even if they lose one, an impressive couple of wins shoots them right back 'into the mix' as Dana says.

Nate would probably get the UFC Lightweight Championship shot with three wins in a row, Miller might have a shout if he can finish Nate. I like Jim Miller. If Lauzon beats Pettis, he would have won three fights in a row. The UFC Lightweight division is awesome, so stacked. It's a shame the UFC took so long to bring the UFC Lightweight division back, finally doing so in 2006.

Anyone read this?

512hKwhEeWL._SS500_.jpg

Got it off Amazon recently and just started reading it. I'm only up to the bit on UFC 1 but I'm finding it very interesting so far. There was a bit on Frank Dux (the guy Bloodsport was based on who turned out to be a bit of a fibber) that I enjoyed. I didn't know that Zane Frazier from UFC 1 battered him at a hotel and Dux took him to court which lead to details of his fabricated fight career and 'secret ninja training' coming out.

Also had no idea that they tried to get Chuck Norris and Marvin Hagler as commentators for UFC 1 but Norris didn't think the event would end up happening. They couldn't afford Marvelous Marv. So we got Bill Wallace and Jim Brown instead.

Good read so far. There's people selling it used on Amazon for a penny at the minute.
