Swift89
Ross Pearson vs Denis Siver added to the UFC Sweden card. Â Touugh fight for Pearson IMO. Really looking forward to this one. ajmcstyles
Pearson beat Siver at Lightweight in a decent fight and has already been tested at 145, wheras this is Siver's 1st attempt at 145 in the UFC. I'd say Pearson wins again Why do we need a rematch WHY WHY WHY...

Guest
Am I wrong in thinking there used to be a thread on here for people training mma? Shane O' Mac Version 2
Wandshogun, I'm not going to quote the whole thing (mostly because I'm on a mobile device that makes navigating a bit difficult), but my initial issue was the notion that Nog is considered at the top of the division, but as you say he's the level of Bonnar, which I agree with. In relation to his name and expectations of him, I don't feel he's delivered. I don't hate him, his fights are interesting to watch, I just feel he's badly overrated and can't seem to put any sort of win streak together against today's fighters. I wasn't having a dig at you just there seems to be a general trend for people to say certain fighters are washed up or useless just because they're not at the very top of the division. I suppose it is fair to say he has underachieved so far when you consider there was a fair amount of hype surrounding him coming into the UFC. Â But I don't think most people overrate him, most realistically know he's kind of middle of the pack at 205 but people like him and root for him a lot so they predict him to win sometimes when it's not likely. Same with Wanderlei, Cro Cop, even Randy and Chuck at the end. There were people predicting Randy to beat Machida before their fight. Win streaks at 205 are unlikely whoever you are, unless you're Jon Jones.

Surely they'd run it by the fighters first who they're fighting before releasing info. Both good fights though. Although I'm not quite sure why they went with Pearson vs Siver 2. It will good, just like the first was but there's plenty of fresh matchups they could have made. Â I'd have went Pearson vs Zombie and Siver vs Tyson Griffin. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted January 12, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 12, 2012 Hendo speaks on turning down the Little Nog fight  "I was under the impression that [Dana White] was still kinda on the fence on whether he was gonna put me in front of Rashad (Evans) or not. That's assuming Rashad wins. He did offer me a fight with little Nogueira and I didn't think the fans would be interested in that fight and it's not as much time as I'd like to prepare for a five round fight so I told him I'd wait and see what happens with the Rashad fight. I'd like to fight Jones now rather than if I took that fight with Little Nog. I wouldn't be fighting Jones for another eight, ninth months. I'm okay waiting a little bit. It was more about having the time to prepare and I did inquire to say hey, I would be interested in doing it if it was a three round fight, I could have time to prepare."  Totally understandable. Now unlike for Gustafsson which I argued wasn't a step down, this would have been a step down for Hendo at this point imo. Coming off 3 fights where he won a title, KO'd Fedor inside a round and beat Shogun in a 5 round classic a fight with Little Nog right now doesn't make a lot of sense.  And he even says he was still willing to do it as a 3 rounder. I'm sure he'd love to avenge his loss to Nog but the timing's all wrong for it right now. He's best to wait. If Phil Davis beats Rashad then he could be looking at the title shot very soon anyway. If Rashad wins he'll have to sit out a bit longer but waiting is the right call for now I reckon.

METAL ON METAL
I wouldn't believe anything Zelaznik says to be honest, he constantly just says the 'right things' that people want to hear. He's the same person who said in late 2010 four to six shows were almost set in stone for the UK in 2011, with two big shows and the rest being Fight Night shows and cities he stated were: London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow & Dublin. Â The fact that the UFC have moved him back over to Las Vegas instead of staying at the UFC UK offices, just shows you how important the UK is to the UFC now that they've got in places like Australia, Japan & Brazil. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted January 12, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 12, 2012 The Nick Diaz vs Carlos Condit fight will have Steve Mazzagatti as referee AND Cecil Peoples as one of the judges. Fuck me. Let's hope one of them gets a decisive finish with no controversy. I'd hate for a dream fight like this to be ruined by bad officiating/screwy judging.
