Even worse for Albion Rovers who got dumped out by Sunnybank at home!

Sunnybank are a good team. The top 2/3 in the Superleague could easily compete well in the Highland League.

I'm not saying they are not a good team but to go and win on an SFL team's turf is a good result. Especially considering I think Paul Martin picked up the last manager of the month award (although they may have lost both games since).

The mighty Bo'ness knocked out Queen's Park 2-1. Urgh.

I'm not a big fan of the Spiders, been a few times to Hampden to watch them, but it still hurts a bit.

I was at this one and it was a really good game of football. Bo'ness controlled it and looked more like the SFL side. Could have been a couple more if it wasn't for the excellent short arse Queens keeper. Fun trip though only found 1 pub open at 12 and it wasn't even showing the Aberdeen Hibs game. That and it served us about the worst pint I've ever had.

The Queen's Park supporters club is usually open before games and shows the SPL game.

Credit where credit is due Smith got his tactics spot on and another massive performance from the midfield on the back of a similar effort against Valencia. Edu and Davis were rock solid and didn't give much away. Naismith is a shoe in for player of the year and even a young player of the year double (if he's still eligible?) if he keeps up his form, or something close to it, for a chunk of the remainder of the season. Looks like he's knuckled down over the preseason, shifted the weight he was carrying. He had another cracking game yesterday.

Poor Willie;

Old Firm ref Willie Collum received chilling death threats just hours after taking charge of the powder-keg Glasgow derby on Sunday.

The shaken official answered a number of sinister phone-calls at his Lanarkshire home with the caller threatening to "go after him and his wife and children".

It's understood Collum reported the calls to the police but turned down the offer of protection outside his home. The 31-year-old outraged Celtic manager Neil Lennon by awarding Rangers a penalty in the second half of the top of the table showdown.

Last night Collum's SFA bosses confirmed that he had been the target of death threats and added that there was a sectarian undertone to the calls .

Spokesman Darryl Broadfoot said: "Willie received a number of threatening calls at his home on Sunday. night, one of which was taken by his wife .

"This kind of behaviour is abhorrent and has no place in football."

The threats comes as several top officials are believed to be considering their futures because of the intense scrutiny they are being placed under.

Linesman Steven Craven resigned yesterday after being caught up in a furore over a decision to deny Celtic a penalty at Dundee United.

Dougie McDonald, who was in charge of that game, has also told his bosses of his increasing discontent with the pressure being puton our top whistlers.
