Righty went away did some research... Some media outlets say that the man is' all that is wrong' with banking?

This is despite building a company through nothing to become an intergral part of the profitability of said bank and maintaining the liquidity of said bank through these uncertain times.. and most importantly Barclays hasnt fucked up yet.

All this while being the 'Casino Man and High Roller' and detremental to banking.. Er if he is successful and everyone else fucks up how exactly is that detremental????

I think its nothing more than petty jealously on behalf of everyone else who begrudges that he didnt fail when the rest did.

Bank not in trouble gives star performer payrise for doing job bloody well by all accounts and risk taking and getting away with i.

If it had crashed and burnt you may have had a point. It hasn't so you haven't.

Bingo was his name-o. It's easier too attack bankers because they're largely successful and high earners living a better lifestyle etcetera than it is for these people too take a closer look at their own profligate spending, which is something. People wrapping their jealousy up in classist ideas, reverse snobbery is still snobbery.

Wow, quite the patronising so-and-so, aren't you?

Well, someone has to say it.

I see the kind of responses that such cuts warrant in places like Greece, Spain, Portugal & Italy, yet the morons in Britain are happy to sit back and accept whatever we get thown at us.

We saw over a million people hit the streets of France because their Government plan on moving the age of retirement from 60 to 62.

Our Government want to scrap the retirement age of 65, and what do we do?

Fuck all.

Cameron says that "we are all in this together", which is the biggest fucking joke since Blair & Bush claimed Iraq had WMD's.

Quick question mate, are you the lad who was saying a while back that you weren't working?

No, it's easier to attack bankers because they fucked up.

After the Government taking our money and bailing them out, they see fit to resume business as usual when it comes to wages & bonuses now that they are managing to generate a profit.

Meanwhile, we'll be seeing council cuts unlike anything seen in the past 80 years or so.

Have a read and see what life was like in the UK during the early 30's.

The French also bent over and let the Nazis fuck them up the arse, are you sure you sure you want us to be more like them?

The French of today have more balls than the English, that's pretty evident.

I never thought i'd see the day where I said that...

Places like France and Spain are simply more forward thinking and modern than the English in terms of Law and Politics, and by the sounds of things can think fo themselves a lot more and speak up

Why? Because they sit and whinge and go out rioting and burn the place down.

What's it to be, lad?

Do they sit and whinge or do they go out and burn the place down?

They can't do both...

Im pretty sure you realise what I meant. The French have always been a nation to simply give up and just because they are downing tools to riot in the streets its still exactly the same thing.

Sorry, but I disagree.

The fact that they aren't prepared to give up on the retirement age being raised without a fight would suggest to me that they are doing the exact opposite of simply giving up.

As far as i'm concerned, we have a cheek in this day & age to refer to any nation having a penchant to "give up" when we have done the square root of fuck all to combat anything our Government has thrown at us.

The last time Britain actually stood up and said "this isn't on" was probably the poll tax protests and the Liverpool 47.

Our middle & working classes are a disgrace compared to what has gone before.

Completely inaccurate. Until WWI, the French had a pretty damn impressive military record, in comparison to which only we were competitive. Also, claiming the French "always surrender" like the Yanks like to claim is bollocks - the activities of the Maquis attest to that. It's all very well for us to talk about surrender, but we had the English Channel posing a major barrier to a full-on onslaught from the Nazis, something Belgium, Holland, and France didn't have.

In terms of labour militancy, the French have a stronger tradition than we do, stemming from the days of the Revolution. "Libert

I presonally am against most forms of protest, strike etc as what really is the point of protesting against Government cuts? Do you really think the Government are doing it to spite us or simply to line their own pockets? In most cases it is become it is the only viable option.

Christ, I never knew someone could be so naive.
