I thought Tennant was great at the time but usually when I see clips of his run now he looks a bit of a bellend :(

Probalem with Tennant as the Doctor was he was brilliant during the seirous/angry moments. He was amazing. But unfortunatly when he wasn't it was him knocking about getting off with women and sounding like Frank Spencer.

Go back to the start of this thread and you'll see how times change. Oh how angry we were when the great Tennant (who, it turned out, *could* replace Ecclestone after all, hey it was never in doubt) was replaced by an unknown foetus.

75 days until the Christmas special, apparently...

Which (I don't think this has been mentioned here) will feature Bill Bailey and Alexander Armstrong.

It's true, looking back now as good as Tennant was, there was nothing really 'alien' about him, he just ran around a lot being a witty action hero. Now Matt Smith's Doctor, even down to his little subtle mannerisms, are all entirely alien and you can totally believe he is from a different planet.

You can also believe that he's 900/1100 years old. Nobody before has given the Doctor as much AGE as him.

That's my favourite bit about Smith. All the fuss about him being too young and he's played the oldest Doctor ever. I could give lectures on the subtle character traits he's given The Doctor that have reinforced just how old he is.

Also Claire Skinner & Arabella Weir.
