Lost count how many times I watched that particular Michaels Vs. Diesel match.

    IYH7 right?

I always like how raw the match looks, HBK crawling out of the table wreckage angry, grabs a steel chair but the cables are stuck but he just goes with it.

Also love Diesel swinging punches but missing and Michaels cracking him, doesn't sound much bit I always liked that spot.

To think what we could've had with a heel attitude era Diesel

  2. Yeah don't want it to be Page, we don't need anymore layers to this thing, he's a sympathetic face that's over so don't over complicate things like when face Gargano helped heel Ciampa win.

Ideally I'd have KO beat Mox on 2nd, Bucks come to celebrate...out comes Hangman shakes Omegas hand, all's good do pyro and pose with all 4....then The Elite beat the shit outta Page, no shades of grey just straight heel/face dynamic

  3. Yeah I mentioned few posts back but Drew, Lee, Riddle, Hardy vs Orton, Braun, AJ, Elias and Roman, Aleister, Jey, Ziggler vs KO, Bryan, Otis, Big E

Mix of guys you wouldn't see mix, end and start storylines.

Best brand warfare was last year, great build up and ppv and seeing guys face each other that still havnt like ciampa, priest

  4. I don't mind if they hot shot the title between top guys and feuds now and again, keeps Orton strong and a threat by winning, Drew lost a violent gimmick match so doesn't look weak, with Fiend lurking and Miz MITB it atleast keeps parts moving.

A competitive world title scene is good, to me it was what was great about the attitude era in both companies, all top guys feuded for years with no real conclusion and you believed the title could change hands anytime, as long as it's not over done it's not a bad thing.

  5. I agree with all that, who knows how long Twitch will be around? It could be dead in a year or so, probably not or something else will take it's place.

Paige or whoever doing Twitch is absolutely fine and she enjoys it but given wwe sack people for fuck all when they choose she's lucky she's still employed when pissing them off on purpose.

Zelina liked a Paige tweet awhile back about unionizing so guess that was the start of it

Why does she have nothing to lose? Like I said previously, she's getting paid nearly quarter of a million dollars a year to be in a non-wrestling role. She's getting paid the same or more than people like Sasha Banks, Carmella, Naomi, Liv Morgan and Sonya Deville to basically just cut the odd promo, do the odd backstage segment and appear on a PPV panel every now and then. If she was fired from WWE, no other company would be willing to pay her anywhere near that kind of money to be a manager or valet, and I doubt they'd clear her to wrestle either with her neck issues. Don't forget the Total Divas money too. For her situation, she currently has it pretty cushty.

But isn't she making crazy money from Twitch, so doesn't need wwe or there money.

Want to be clear I'm not backing wwe on this.

I get and understand Zelina standing up for her friends but she'd know better than us how risky it was to talk about unionization given wwe stance on things at the moment.

  7. I'm sure it'll evolve into something else but I hope people aren't getting hyped up doing Twitch or whatever that may be gone in year or so, it could be a short term cash grab.

As for Vega seems more odd on twitch clip I saw from last night, she talks about how much she loves wwe and being a lifelong dream because of her dad etc so why jeopardize her job if it meant that much to her and knowing it may affect Aleister.

I can see why Paige would fight wwe as she has nothing to lose

  8. Dunno if it's cause and effect but if him and Nash stuck around in 96 I wonder if the Kliq would become an onscreen act like DX?

It's hard to gauge now because DX/Harts and other gangs at the time were probably made in retaliation to the nwo, Ofcourse it's fantasy booking and screws everything up that happened but interesting all the same

  9. Jim Cornette recently answered that question and gave good insight to why it wouldn't happen.

I'd say him beating Backlund instead of Diesel was his best shot, instead of hotshotting Diesel which would be him vs HBK more time together, learn then split etc

As for Razor just have him face the guys Diesel did like Bret, Owen or whoever it was, have Razor vs HBK for the title and Bret vs Diesel would be better than we got.

Anytime in wcw not a chance, too many main event sharks and he started unraveling pretty early on too, wwe must've kept him in better check or maybe he got worse either way I dunno.

  10. Network content has been fantastic, the Bearer doc is what makes the network great, getting these type of things on "lesser" characters is always fascinating.

Broken Skull 2 should be great too, so much ground and depth to cover that a second still might not do him justice.

I do think he'll appear at Mania in some form as he deserves a goodbye in front of fans and vice versa, if he's planning on wrestling hopefully he's training now rather than waiting til Feb like in his doc.

Love Taker so I'm happy to get see so much of him after all these years.

  11. Ziggler comparison is probably true, he had the fast paced bumping and energy that worked against Rock, Austin etc he waa pretty over but loads of guys were so hard to gauge if he'd be a top guy or in same category as Venis, Godfather and other DX guys

  12. He could've continued the single push post Rock feud, was pretty hard to crack the main event scene back then as said with lots of legit big names.

Jericho should've been the new pretty boy face (like HBK) and Gunn should've slotted in too, I liked how competitive both companies main event scenes were back then

If the hype gets you tuning in or buying the PPV then it's exactly the right amount, surely? Hype is how wrestling companies make money.

Yeah of course but at times it doesn't live up to the hype, also if everything is super hyped and special then nothing stands out.

WWE normally kick it up a notch in Mania season but it wouldn't have the same impact if every event is that way.

  14. I enjoy AEW but sometimes I think they hype stuff too much that it's hard to live up to or they do it too often.

Mox vs Kingston (who managed to find worse ring gear) had super intense built up so it's hard to live up to it without killing themselves.

Same issue with Cody, all his matches since AEW started have had a deep intense back story (even the weekly jobber stuff) which isn't always needed cos sometimes a match is just a match.

KO vs Page was great as was FTR vs Bucks but The Elite need to pick a side and go for it, subtle is one thing but you gotta pull the trigger at some point which hopefully will be when Omega wins the world title and The Elite rules the world again.

  15. Moxley and Ambrose are like 2 different people, I know wwe didn't book him great his whole run but look at him as wwe champion with his skinny body, floppy thinning hair and lack of intensity, he didn't look or act like a main eventer.

Fast forward to mid 2018 when he returns from injury, better and bigger built, short hair, bearded and intense, wwe couldve done something with that guy but was too little too late on both sides.

Not saying AEW had it easy but they got a much better version of him, Ambrose vs Kingston wouldn't have been the same for example.

All of ways like Stunning Steve to Stone Cold.

He had no chance, being introduced as the best man to a jobber.

It would be like WWE pairing Matt Riddle with Titus O'Neil.

From Y2J podcast he said it's the right spot and gimmick for him.

Match wise he said he's off the leash and can start doing moves he wasn't aloud to do etc but Miro wrestles the exact same (if not sloppier) than Rusev.

Dont think lack of momentum is the issue as he had hype from fans that AEW would do him right, and a buzz from his release but has been damp napkin since debut

after giving Miro time to try and get his new gimmick over, he really seems like someone that needs an edit filter. We have seen nothing re what he’s “best” at, skits re stag doo that just stopped, terrible gear, dull matches. There’s slow build, this is just bad

Problem with alot of guys these days is they all claim to be 'creative' and were held down by you know who but given free reign the ideas are craps, pointless or don't fit with the rest of the show.

Thing that gets me is they moan about wwe creative when on Jericho podcast like Mox, Brodie, Miro, FTR but then when "free" they do similar or equal things but then claim to be creative genius's

  18. Just listened to Miro on Jericho podcast, mostly what you'd expect from both, blowing smoke up the arse of AEW for getting to do whatever they want, which is fair enough but so far hasn't worked for Miro.

They put over the "brass ring up your ass" promo Like it was Dusty level promo genius despite being done by ever ex wwe guy for years.

Miro should be mixing it as a face against Team Taz for example not in a comedy team

  19. I only issue I have with Kingston gear and look is there's other guys on the roster that look shit but he looks worse, I get his character but simply dropping the shit singlet for a tank top would suit his street thug gimmick, not saying he's not believable in the role.

Guess part of the issue is so many guys wear non traditional ring gear it's hard to stand out, Raven for example looked legit and stood out cos he was only one doing it (more so wcw than ecw)

  20. Surely with the fairly small margin for error there's no decent person on the planet.

If someone has a different opinion to you makes them a bad person then we're all fucked, no wonder the world is in the state it is these days

  21. Given that we know alot more about The Undertaker I'm surprised that he didn't work through his back injury to be at Wrestlemania 10, even doing same angle at the Rumble, return at Mania for 1 night then take few months off after it to comeback properly at Summerslam, odd he'd miss the biggest show of the year with the company on the down turn especially now he's worked through pretty much everything since.
