That chorus is brilliant. Great for his character too to have a song saying how great he thinks he is

I have it on rotation past few days in the gym, I can picture him slowly walking to the ring with a smug Heyman and both Usos like his pitbulls, can't wait for that to happen

Found more tracks by him, I didn't realize he does some AEW and indy themes like Sammy Guarvara, Cage and few others

  2. I could see Page going like Austin on Raw before Invasion ppv when hes in the bar all night drinking and shooting pool with Raw on the background.

Building all night til he gets frustrated and drunk enough to break a pool cue, head to the arena and destroy everyone (and leave)

That's kinda thing i hope it is, pop was and should be insane

  3. Seen some backlash online for this week for "being boring" "just like wwe" "Sting justed walked out again yawn"

I'm only mentioning this because we know that's bs and don't want AEW or WWE for that matter get too much into trying to top themselves each week, a bit criticism from guys on the inside during the attitude era is they burnt through years of storylines in months.

All companies shouldn't resort to hotshotting or shock tv to keep fans interested because they'll get bored of that soon enough.

I'd honestly hate to try and understand and promote anything to majority of people these days, they literally change there minds daily.

  5. How many tweaks or gimmicks did he have in WWE?

    Rookie/white meat baby-face.

    Heel with Legacy.

    Dashing with mirror

    Undashing with mask/broken face.

    Moustache enthusiast

    Face turn/ Rhodes Dynasty

    Stardust

    Am I missing any?

And during his run he worked with mostly top guys, DX, McMahon's, vs Orton at Mania, Rey singles match at Mania (not everyone gets 1vs1 at WM, tag and ic title runs, hot angle with his family vs Shield/Authority, as Stardust trusted to work with Celebrity Stephen Amell at Summerslam.

Plus loads of other stuff without going into full timeline, if that's shitty booking them I'd be happy to take it

Cage. That dude has Vince written all over him.

Look wise yeah but he seems to only want to wrestle like he's in a computer game, smashing big moves without meaning.

Dunno if he can be coached to work smarter or not.

  7. For older/experienced guys the lighter schedule will attractive but for younger guys they'll struggle to improve working once a week, of course they can work Indies too but quality of talent might not help them get better.

The bloated roster will surely make people want too leave eventually, the shiny new toy won't be shiny forever, guys will have to leave or get released at some point.

Young guys like MJF, Darby, etc could end up like a Ziggler if they stay for next 15yrs

  8. Vader was pretty battered by his WWE run according to Cornette who was there at the time, but he main evented Summer slam, worked with top names like Taker, Yoko, Owen, Goldust, but was knackered and gained weight by 98 and seemed out of place in fast paced attitude era.

DDP was never going to be a long-term prospect for WWE and injured his back a year after debuting, stalker gimmick wasn't him but least he worked with Taker and Kane and won a few times and worked Wrestlemania if nothing

Imagine changing that fucking music. Especially for the absolute shit they used instead.

I didn't mind his music, the intro is too long but once the slow guitars starts it gets better and more Sting-esq, still not as good as his wcw and tna theme's but they almost had it.

  10. I agree they are different cases

Sting is too early to say but there's definitely a Cody and Jericho match in his future, otherwise we'll see what plans they have for him.

Goldberg only beat the Fiend that I think caused issue, beating Zig or Owens wasn't a big deal.

He'll be booed whenever he's Infront of a live crowd again, which is crazy as he's one of these guys you'd never get to see live, I saw him at Mania 33 and was really chuffed to see him live

  11. Yeah I'm not getting the reason for Goldberg backlash online, to me he's one of wrestlings current most interesting guys to follow, he's so intense about training and performing he's absolutely fascinating.

I don't usually like comparing them but WWE/Vince is old and out of touch for using Goldberg but AEW/There new mate Khan signing Sting is awesome smart booking.

Im hoping Big E is getting a slower build and not overexposed so fans don't turn on him too soon (God fordid you push someone too long these days) we'll see what happens more from Jan I reckon but problem is because he's been fantasy booked to beat RR at Mania they'll be backlash if he doesn't despite WWE might wanna wait for fans or use Goldie while they can.

From what I read he was kept of the Survivors team so he wouldn't have to lose which is actually an encouraging sign

  12. I watched both his HHH and Rollins match recently,

Trip's match is a simple main event style match and DX/nWo (should've been Wolfpac) run ins were fun.

Rollins again was good although crowd were pretty quiet for most of it, I know the injury is what's remembered about the match, but it's a proper main event with table bumps etc not a "protect the old guy match" probably should've been in hindsight.

i also watched his wwe doc other day, his interactions with trips and Vince are pretty awkward, I wonder how much Sting and WWE were comfortable working together, hence not using him much or keeping him.

  13. Its tragic what alot of fans have become, every where you look about wrestling "Vince" is mentioned, I think alot have worked themselves into a shoot believing all the stories are true about him (I'm sure alot are but you get my point) and WWE can't do anything right and he should die etc.

Even AEW is starting to get backlash, no wonder companies don't know what they want or how to please them, most have no attention spans and want the opposite of what they're given

  14. Seen some proper Muppets on Facebook saying "they're bored of Omega as champion, he's done nothing so far" honestly fans these days, instant gratification or nothing.

Anyway, decent show not every week can top the previous, why did Sting need to interact with Cody he's involved in too much, speaking of which the Shaq and Brandy segment was awful, don't know why Cody and Brandy are trying to be faces when everything they do comes across as heels.

  15. Interesting that wcw was planning turning Sting into a crow character before the nwo, I wonder if they had any plans How'd they get him to the character, the nwo and wcw betrayal made sense although a bit emo and ott but got the job done.

He definitely took some stuff from The Crow, he started doing a "stumbling type sell" like Crow did

  16. Sting look is so simple he could shake it up more but there really hasn't been a need and don't think he's too interested at this stage, and can you imagine the backlash if anything about his image changed when he went to WWE.

His merch pretty designs itself these days too "black and white face, baseball bat, scorpion" unless you're an AEW/prowresltingtees super mark that think they've done something super creative despite TNA and WWE doing almost same designs for past 15yrs

  17. Yeah lack of noise is an unfair criticism for a smaller company, ROH have same issue from what I've seen, NJPW has a decent size crowd they don't make noise but do clap but NJPW crowds are known for being quieter so it's not noticeable.

KO promo was good, looked more the part too bit more rockstar look, two Tony's ad was bit unfair to shit on Impact and khan's I've aloud Kenny to appear on Impact or I could easily file an injunction...thanks for ruining that aspect of the angle.

Only bits of Impact I've seen this year was EC3 debut with Josh doing a Micheal Cole "EC3 IS HERE IN IMPACT WRESTLING....AND HES CONTROLLING HIS OWN NARRATIVE"  subtle stuff 👍

New Japans top stars being swapped for a bunch of lads who work mostly on Dark doesn’t sit right with me I’m afraid.

Ok but who would AEW send that wouldn't be needed for big matches? Plus it's only a few guys they'd still have others to choose from, on flip side AEW guys could work Wrestlekingdom

  19. I've said before but during the Super J cup and Tag League the top guys usually aren't doing much other than tags just to have them there.

Have Okada, Jay White and Ibushi for example over for a few weeks leading to either a big show or TV special, in exchange for some juniors or tags to go to Japan for a bit (Hobbs and Cage would really benefit learning how to work like hosses).

AEW guys get to learn somewhere new and NJPW guys get exposure to the US and UK
