  1. Rumble has been kinda odd for through away title matches, like Holly vs Lesnar, Ziggler vs Punk and Edge on separate years, usually matches to end feuds or keep the title ticking over til mania.

Pearce match if it happens is the perfect match to keep RR strong without beating Bryan or killing of Shin is he continues to get hot.

Im struggling with this one. Maybe they just thought they had more options on the face challenger side than whoever the Street Profits were going to face. I don't think the tag division on Smackdown has much depth at the moment.

I'm surprised Rey and Dominik haven't been used as a team.

Just feel the Profits were champs forever and it's a welcome change, I'd build Rey and Dom up to win the belts at Mania.

The tag division on both shows is a frustratingly easy fix, loads of guys not up to much, I know it's makeshift teams, but a nice mix of a flyer team (Ricochet and someone), big guys (mace and TBar) , Corbin's crew etc

  3. It's amazing how much any WWE show gets dissected and ripped apart by fans (no on here) whatever they're given it should be the opposite.

Anyway Reigns was on another level good this week, truly menacing and sincere, I know Heyman is getting praise for Romans promo's but his delivery is on point which is the hard part.

Ziggler and Roode as tag champs is the right move.

  4. The over pushed and quick title reign helped the character be the little shitty heel that "somehow does what he says he's gonna do despite being a bit shit" and was something to call back on during future feuds and during G1s.

AEW have plenty of heels and I don't think he'd stand out or have plans for him.

I can see him staying on Japan but the wimper ending at Dash does makes you wonder though

  5. He's really grown since his return as Switchblade, shame for NJPW to loose someone that they've healthy pushed and invested in, but that's what happens.

He's got a WWE style and been compared to 99 HHH on here, I could see him doing well there, they need fresh blood and can't see him fairing much better in AEW.

He's been in Japan for 8 years now so maybe its time to try something new.

  6. The two world champions worked when the roster was stacked with legit top guys (Hogan, Taker, HBK, HHH, ROCK) solid challengers/could be champs (Jericho, Eddie G, Benoit, Orton, Brock, Batista, Cena, Edge).

Those names spread across two shows was the perfect blend of old and new.

I'd still go with Batista vs HHH at WM 21, the build was there, natural and big Dave was ready, keep building Cena strong for WM 22 by beating World Champion Trip's.

Over the later years mostly, no Swagger, Ziggler, Del Rio, even Sheamus don't get a world title til they are ready (if they ever are) and the IC/US titles be the bridge they should be.

For what did happen the 2013 unification was the right move and one champion post draft makes the belt important, less Brock long empty reigns.

Currently Drew and Roman both are great and legit World Champions which is great but would be better if there was one title scene was them 2, KO, ORTON, Bryan, USO, AJ, with Lee, Sheamus, Riddle, Hardy etc trying to break through

  7. Miz should cash in at the Rumble and eat a few spears keep Goldberg strong before Drew beats him.

Outrage over Bill being back is stupid, he still looks the part and legends always have a place if used properly (which I feel this is), Drew bumping from the push was a mistake but maybe Goldberg pushed him too hard or he was ready, who knows, both looked fired up though with is good.

Guess it puts to bed Goldberg Vs Reigns if he looses?

  8. Rise of heel CM Punk is great and feud with Jeff Hardy, smackdown post draft was really good with Punk, Edge, Morrison, Rey, Y2J, Hardy smashing out great matches weekly.

Was 09 Bragging Rights the year SD went for new faces as there team then shit the bed and replaced them the week before?

  9. I grew to like Rowan during his Daniel Bryan run, the metal/Viking look helped, his matches with Reigns and Aleister Black were good I thought, nothing wrong with big basic hosses for variety.

Nice show and tributes, bit too heavy on 6mans but if the kid booked and wanted them then fair enough.

  10. Bradshaw had a run of really weak survivor series eliminations, always roll ups he almost kicked out of or a quick finisher

Shit pins similar to Austin pinning Yoko were Mabel getting pinned by Double J at Summerslam 94 after missing a legdrop and Jarrett pinning him with no contact, another is against IRS at KOTR same with a pin with fuck body to body or weight behind it

If this is the reason then it's even worse that they didn't pay a proper tribute. Death doesn't care if it's Spring, Summer, Easter or Christmas. The fact remains Brodie Lee was part of one of the best stables and involved in MOTY feuds regularly for WWE. If Sting popped his clogs tomorrow I'd guarantee there would be more than a graphic briefly on the screen.

Was just an idea, I get death doesn't take a holiday but maybe they didn't wanna dwell on it, I liked the tributes the guys did themselves it felt more personal and meaningful

obviously escapism within reason, burning people alive etc is stupid and far fetched and shouldn't be done

  12. Given it was a holiday/Xmas Raw I thought maybe WWE didn't want to bring the tone down and depress people after a shitty year and possibly a depressing time for some, reminding of death (more than a little tribute) on a show for escapism.

What people expect from WWE or "Vince" is crazy, they seen to put wrestlng in a weird bracket that it's not a place of work but Vince owes them something for life, ex employers won't do much for people in a normal job.

  13. I must be hard for wwe at the moment to gauge how someone's push is going without live reactions, they could dip into the social cesspools to get an idea but those change there favourites daily so not the kind you'd build a multi million company on.

But Big E has been booked pretty well since the summer with solid matches with Sheamus, not being in survivors so he wouldn't lose, now IC champ, it's a slow classic style build for him.

Remember that fans turn on anyone if they're "forced"  to cheer them so it has to be "there" idea so they've won or something

  14. Sting in AEW would/will work better when they can tour different cities and hes an attraction but appearing weekly with little to do and probably same fans at each taping atm, he's gonna feel less special.

Nothing show overall but not always a bad thing, that's what makes specials like "winter is coming" etc special, if everything is super duper special then nothing is or stands out.

No Cody, KO, Page made it seem like Dark.

  15. Reigns VS KO was really good, minor gripe would be Jey getting involved towards the end or someone like Bryan coming to help (given recent history) and that's your transition to next feud.

Orton VS Fiend was crazy, not sure where they go from there but it's something, internet ofcourse ripping it apart (what else is new).

USA and fans want more attitude era adult content...so we'll see

  16. Renee Paquette/Young Oral Sessions is good so far, only listened to CM Punk and some of Moxleys,

she's so easy to listen to and like, Punk I thought was good on it not too bitter and quite realistic about things these days, Mox must be a pain to interview, I imagine he's a bit like a dog that won't sit still or focus but so far a good listen he's an interesting guy

  17. A  simple 60 min show for guys to practice gimmicks and promo's to feel the pressure of timing and cameras without it being too real yet, no titles or nxt guys, maybe on occasion have the N.A champion appear to face a real prospect but otherwise keep it simple.

I know that is pretty much how NXT started but given how good and popular it got you can see they would captilise on it

  18. I wouldn't say NXT has failed making new stars, I think part of the problem is WWE did use top guys of the time to "make" the new ones.

Proper feuds and eventual wins Cena, Orton, Taker, Trips and select guys like Balor, KO, Aleister or whoever they wanted to be the next main crop, "steel sharpens steel" but the time has passed and now it's hard to define mid card and main event.

Other factors too ofcourse like going against AEW and changing what made them successful in first place.
