I know! The crowd looked awesome these last couple of games, just hope there's enough interest it doesn't kill the atmosphere. It's the official 'homecoming' game though so that should spike interest. I went to Berkeley to see the Cal Bears a couple of years ago ahead of the 49ers/Cowboys & despite the crowd being sparse the pre-game vibe around the bars & campus was amazing.

You'll be in the playoffs this season. Garrett Bradbury was a great acquisition. Calling the pricing 'iffy' is very diplomatically put 😆 They absolutely assumed the demand would be akin to the NFL games & the original prices were disgusting. We were looking at going but binned it when we priced up travel & accommodation. The fact there's less chance for UK fans to watch and follow makes it a much harder sell, as you rightly said, it'd be better to sell it out with more affordable tickets all round than try & gouge people up front. We're heading out to Atlanta in a few weeks for the 49ers @ the Falcons and have got Georgia Tech tickets for the day before. Lower section, on the 35yrd line & they were $80 face value. Charging nearly 4x that over here is straight up robbery.

Our press has (understandably) pretty much focused on the UK's actions but this has been a coordinated embargo enacted by 12 other countries too (Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden). If you read or saw Mark Carney's speech at Davos in January the wheels were set in motion then. Establishing alternative trade routes & getting agreement on wording etc from a dozen countries takes time so whilst it's been recently announced, the reality is that it's been cooking in the background for most of the year.
