  1. Slight Main Event spoiler:

Loved the Shield's promo to follow up their attack on RAW, these guys are just tremendous. Everyone is discussing Roman Reigns as the next big thing, and while I agree, the other two are going to go very far as well. Seth Rollins promo skills are tremendous imo.

  2. Completely stunned, I know its cliche but he looked in good health at HOF and Raw. RIP Warrior, gone but will never be forgotten.

He looked healthy at HOF but on RAW he turned a bit reddish and was breathing heavily. True legend, and glad he got his moment before he left the world. RIP.

Sting isn't showing up anytime soon according to melter. The deals done but it could be as late as the road to mania 31 until sting shows up.

I don't know why people can't see where Sting fits in without Undertaker. There are plenty of matches I'd love to see Sting in. Yes, Undertaker was the dream match but we've never seen Sting vs The Rock for instance, and I don't know why but after his streak victory, I just see Brock Lesnar as this absolute mega star who I'd love to see face any legend at all so he'd be a great opponent as well.

  4. Which would be fair to say if it was one or two audiences, but it's been every audience since he returned, on every show and PPV. Plus everyone on the internet that isn't at the live shows slating him, that's a good majority of the fan base.

Because its cool to do what the other towns do. Its a vocal majority. WWE put the fans over when they said how amazing the Fandango fans were last year, so other towns tried to copy it. Its how it goes. Its how most of the fans chant "Cena sucks", yet he's by far the biggest star. Its how Dolph Ziggler seemed to be the most over man in the company, yet nobody would think about paying to see him. What you hear is way different from the reality of it. The idea that people are booing Batista because they dont want him around is ridiculous to me. This is a vocal fan backlash. No different to Hulk Hogan in 1996 (who's matches were far worse than Batista's in that era). We are in a world where its one extreme to another. Seeing a babyface get booed is a detriment to the shows. But that doesn't mean those fans dont want him around. If he turned, those crowds because his resource.

Its the whole presence of the camera also. Knowing your on pay-per-view or on TV is way different to when you are at a house show. You cant get yourself over if you're a fan at the house shows.

It really isn't just because everyone else is doing it. People genuinely don't want him around in my opinion. I have no interest in his matches or the segments he's involved in and the majority of people/friends who I talk to about wrestling (granted, there isn't many) have no interest in seeing him either.

  5. I hope Christian carries on heeling it up, he is far more interesting as a heel. He's shit as a face, complete shit.

I know it's widely expected, but if Roman Reigns doesn't become either THE top guy or just behind Cena in the company then WWE needs to take a fucking good look at themselves.

  6. I probably put too much stock in how much any of it makes a difference business-wise, but as a fan, the aesthetics make up an enormous part of my enjoyment, from the sets to the logos to the gear. Still some of the biggest moments of anticipation for Mania for me come from looking forward to seeing how long the ramp is and all the lads wearing their new clothes. I still hate that the HD era brought identical sets to all the TV shows, especially as it predominantly aped the Raw set, which has tweaked itself so subtly year by year from 1997 that it honestly feels like it's never changed since the Titantron was first launched.

It's not just me that gets a semi for all this shite though. I recall a TNA show ages ago teasing a layout with a long bending aisle akin to old WWF ones. It didn't materialise IIRC, but it generated some pretty exciting discussion just with the prospect of it.

Think I posted something similar a few months or about a year back. I miss the different sets for different shows massively. It sounds silly but it was my favourite part of the SmackDown! games when I used to buy them to see how the different arenas looked.

  8. Punk's promo before the Wyatt match was fucking shit as well.

Was it really shit? It probably went over a bunch of heads when he started listing names, but it was clearly him having a loss about and at least he did it with some conviction, so I'd say it was fine. It's not like he was "shooting" like he was during the HHH feud.

Wrestlers aren't allowed to enjoy themselves or pander to the crowd mate.

  9. I wouldn't mind if Jeff got the strap again - he's not had it for years, and can be a pretty good blue-eye or villain. Would be good to give the title scene a shake-up, anyway. I've not watched TNA for a couple of months now, but Jeff back might just get me watching semi-casually again.

At the time Jarrett had the belt for what seemed like ages, I fucking hated him. Now he's not there, I wish he was Champ and it would probably get me watching again - you don't know what you've got till it's gone as they say.

  10. I was also disappointed with the heists. Not with them themselves as they were a lot of fun, but I was expecting more of them. I didn't see the point of the whole "improve your crew" when there weren't many chances to really do so.

From the very first heist, I thought that once the main story had finished, you'd still be able to set up heists on places.
