  1. If WWE is aiming itself at an audience which requires parental guidance, why are they encouraging British viewers to vote in the General Election? Surely anyone who wasn't going to vote, but who does so because John Cena or John Morrison reminded them, doesn't deserve to have a say in how this country is run.

  2. Bit of a vague question here maybe one for the figure collectors. Seen a loose figure today that had 'WWE and 2004" on the bottom of the foot. The figure had a red line under the eyes and on the top of each bicep. I couldn't place who it was any ideas?

Any more info, like hair and/or skin colour?

I'm thinking Heidenreich, Jindrak or Cade.

  3. Went to see I Love You Phillip Morris at the weekend. Very funny in parts and there are a few scenes in there which made a few people walk out quite abruptly with their kids in tow. It's a 15 certificate, but if you have a kid of that age and are thinking of taking them to see funny man Jim Carrey, think again. It is howl out loud funny in parts, but there are some scenes which will come out of the blue if you don't know the main detail about Carrey's character. I hadn't even seen a trailer for it but my mate told me she knew it'd my kind of humour.

Both Carrey and Ewan McGregor were great in their respective roles and some of the writing is very subtle and will have you laughing to yourself, but not as much as the blatant, lewd gags will have you shaking in your seat.

Although it's only a ten second scene, do NOT read this spoiler if you intend on seeing the film:

The moment I realised he was fucking a bloke up the arse and he just casually said 'Did I mention I was gay? Really gay?' had me crying with laughter for a good five minutes.

    ");document.close();

Anyway, I really enjoyed it and although towards the end I thought it had the potential to just simmer out, it had a fantastic climax. Highly recommended if you want 100 minutes of great chemistry between Carrey and McGregor and some serious belly laughs along the way. Already looking forward to catching it again.

  4. Why the heat between Paul London and Matt Hardy?

London was interviewed just over a year ago, here's an article:

Paul London shows displeasure for Matt Hardy, when asked about his epic ladder match with The Hardy Boys, MNM, Dave Taylor and William Regal and himself and Brian Kendrick at Armageddon 2006, he immediately shoots at Matt Hardy.

  5. Lister, you absolute legend of a man. I've searched DailyMotion and the video isn't up yet, but after waiting over 15 years to rid myself of the mental torture, I'll happily wait until a bit later.

Thank you very, very much

  6. I've been reminded by another thread of something I've been meaning to ask for ages, but there is a good chance that nobody will have online access to it:

In the lead-up to Wrestlemania IX, did my young eyes see a montage of the Bret Hart/Yokozuna build-up with Aretha Franklin's Respect being used as the background music, then with a Bret Hart promo talking over the instrumental? I've looked on YouTube with zero success, but for some reason whenever I hear that song, the second the instrumental kicks in I hear Hart say "... and Yokozuna", then my mind goes blank. I need to know what the rest of that promo is. It did happen, right?

  7. It's Mab. He's a Scouser, loves his wacky/retro shit and we all remember the palaver over him refusing to reveal his identity. Christ, the clue is in the name; Murder All Boys.

    We're on to you VeMables.

  8. This thread hasn't been posted in for nearly a year.

Time to bring it back to life me thinks!

Dyllan had his first photoshoot on 3/3/10 and he will be 18 months old on the 19th ( )

    Proud mummy moment

He is absolutely adorable. Although keeping him in a crate is a bit unfair.

Seriously though, I remember when you first posted about being pregnant and now he's 18 months? Jesus, I can't get over how quickly that's gone! Brilliant photos, even if they make me feel like I've lost nearly two years of my life

  9. The easiest, cheapest and best thing to do is have a barney with her the Thursday before, then make up with her sometime around Tuesday morning.

Seriously though, I was in a similar situation a while back and no, hotels tend not to order bespoke Box Office events for individual rooms so you will probably have to avoid spoilers for a few days. Or dump her. Dumping her would be easy.

  10. Sky News are reporting that Michael Foot has died at the age of 96. No further details available at present. Quite sad this, as although it was inevitable given his age, he was a true Labour politician on the side of working man. If someone had said to me this morning that a political party leader from the early 80s was to die today, I'd have prematurely blown the balloons up and arranged a street party in the hope is was ol' Maggie.

This is a great loss to the political world and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

Cue the inevitable 'one Foot in the grave' jokes.

  11. The WWF/E Desire campaign videos from 2001/2002: how many were there, for who, and does anyone have a complete set in top video quality they could run off for me?

The ones I can think of are:-

    - The original WWF "My Sacrifice" one

    - Undertaker "My Sacrifice" (I think he may have had a second with a different song)

    - Steve Austin "My Sacrifice" (I think he had a second as well)

    - Triple H "Beautiful Day"

    - Kurt Angle "Clocks"

    - The Matt Hardy spoof one shortly after he turned heel, set to his Monster Magnet theme

    - The Rock (set to P.O.D.'s "Alive" and just about my favourite edit ever)

Obviously, y'know, the likes of Test and Godfather didn't get them, but I'm sure there's more than this. Any ideas?

The Undertaker one was set to "Adrenaline" by Gavin Rossdale.

The only other I can remember was one for Jeff Hardy set to "Not Enough" by Our Lady Peace.

It had a cool moment when the lyric goes "When you cliiiiiimb ..." as it shows clips of Jeff climbing ladders from his bouts at WM2000, vs Undertaker, etc.

The original My Sacrifice one was immense, as was the Kid Rock - Lonely Road of Faith one.

EDIT - here's the lot, albeit in poor quality:

    My Sacrifice (WWE)

    Lonely Road of Faith (WWE)

    Clocks (Kurt Angle)

    Hardcore Holly
