I think it says something about the current state of Marvel that the Fantastic Four announcement is relegated to a tweet with (from what I’ve seen) not a lot of fanfare. Years ago it would have been a big deal at some big comic con or something

I'm almost certain it's to divert from the shitstorm of bad reviews for Madame Webb (I know it's not their film but there's only so many negative socials with the word 'marvel' in it that they can have.) And the fact that the entire announced cast has been doing the rounds for a while, with Pedro confirmed months ago by everyone but Marvel.

The fact they have put out deadpool, ff and xmen in 4 days suggests they are doing it for a reason.

Casting wise, I like everyone, not sure how they'll fit together, especially with the age gap between Pedro and Kirby. I'm loving that it looks like they'll go for a 60s setting

Was there a reason for Rollins being up there trying to get involved after the slap happened? Will they go for a tag match between the four on night 1 if he isn’t ready?

It felt like at one point it would have been for both to come out and state why Cody should/shouldn't face them and why their title is the best. Instead we got a hilarious 'cut for time' moment where they shat on Rollins and he never got to do anything about it.

  3. Two things from this:

Regardless of how they set up the main event if Romans entrance is anything less then every single living member of that family tree graphic escorting him to the ring looking like a bunch of mental bastards I will be devastated.

And secondly. You have people at the top of their game, Roman can stand there stoic, and have a crowd hating him. Rock will always be able to get a crowd to do whatever he wants. He managed to structure the importance of family trees around what chants and still snuck in an old catchphrase that delivered perfectly. Then you have Cody who is a belting promo and textbook fiery baby face.

Then you have Rollins who looks like he fell into a box of abandoned gimmicks and has all the presence of a youth worker delivering a play on the dangers of St Patrick's day.

  4. @Chili I worked in comms in social housing for years. Couple of things

First thing. Its an unfair deduction from your deposit. Its not for them to just take from it and the is specifically for the property, NOT bills. I'm not sure what tenancy you're on, if it's fixed or a HMO but your deposit should be protected. Any deductions from it can and should be disputed. It would be rejected by any of the deposit schemes. If the deposit isn't protected then they've messed up and you can claim up to 3 times your deposit in compensation (depending on your tenancy type)

They mention not charging you to redecorate. That's because they can't because its classed as betterment. A polite reply for even mentioning that should be to fuck right off.

It will come down to the wording on your contract which should include what they consider fair usage and any caps and how bills are paid but I'm happy to look at it for you.

    Edit:

If they are chasing then the bill, I'm assuming it's in their name and bills are included. It would be for them to chase you through a ccj and prove you owe the money.

  5. I did photography for a few of the tribute festivals that have popped up. The quality on show varied and enjoyment was directly linked to how hammered everyone was. Best bit about them is the effort they put into the names. Beastie boys tribute act called the Beast Decoys. Gold star!

  6. Minor point but feels like a big thing for the company.

As PWInsider notes, this marks the first time that no blood member of the McMahon family is officially working for WWE/WWF/WWWF

it was always going to happen with TKO taking over but I doubt anyone would have called it this quickly.

he's off the board, he'll still be making millions and millions a year off the company...but noone will mention that.

Kevin Dunn was mentioned and the timing of him leaving. I think this was because he knew this was going to come back and haunt the company in a bigger way and probably better for him to jump ship before it did. Maybe I am being to cynical.

I'm 100% convinced that Dunn left before they told him to go away. He's had an unlimited toybox of production equipment his entire career but, speaking from a purely technical stance, he is absolute shit. The second Vince lost full control of the business, his days were numbered. TKO have some of the best talent in the world and weren't going to let him carry on in that role.

Another angle to all this ; I really hope that (still gross as it would be) that the replies from the Beast Incarnate are just the "humouring the boss/playing along" type that occasionally people have to do when their boss is a complete villain, and that he didn't actually entertain the thought of joining in with the abuse. I hoped he was better than that. I always had him pictured as the simple  "show up, do match, get paid, go back to the farm/wife/kids" type.

Isn't part of the complaint that they organised to 'meet' which was only cancelled due to severe weather.

  9. It's sad to say that he almost certainly won't face legal consequences, because its Vince and he's been dodging stuff like this for years. The best we can hope for is he's battered financially, any amount of power he was given in the merger is taken away (because that's the two things he cares about) and  that this is enough to make sure his name has an asterisk next to it, like Bill Cosby, and he's not discussed again without being the punchline of a joke.

Wasn’t he the highest grossing or paid actor for a year or two running as well? His acting career nowhere near failed, it was a huge success.

It's not failed but the last couple of years have seen his first genuine movie bombs after being a go-to bankable star, with a decades worth of work in Black Adam and him shifting the DC focus to him only for it to fail spectacularly and jungle cruise not breaking even. This, combined with him telling Vin Disel to fuck off and walking away from the Fast and Furious franchise, only for him to return and have that film massively under perform (not his fault but doesn't bode well for the sequel he will be in) and its the first time he's not been a sure thing for Hollywood.

He's also a very rare 'blockbuster' star without his own franchise, with most of his big hits being in ensembles.

  11. I love a scotch bonnet. The Caribbean chilli sauce they make is delicious and you can really taste when they have been used.

I've grown some of them as well this year and they have just the right amount of kick and taste, like Chest says, almost fruity.

As an FYI this is the difference in heat between the Trinidad and it's friendlier brother, the scotch bonnet.

  12. Grew half a dozen different types of chilli for cooking with this year. Finally tried these in a Caribbean curry last week. They are Trinidad scorpions. Literally took me out of action for 2 days. Never again.

  13. Just laughing at these photos because I told my girlfriend off for trying to reorganise my spice drawer over the weekend. I just showed her this thread and she said 'you all deserve each other'

  14. They 100% would have reformed in the mid 80s. John and Paul had already started talking and George and Paul sorted their issues out eventually, working together in 81. Wings split in 81, George did nothing solo for 5 years after 82 after the failure of Gone Troppo and was publically disillusioned with music at the time. Ringo was Ringo and was still working with everyone. All the pieces were already in place for them to start working together again.

There's an alternative timeline where The Beatles played Live Aid.

  15. Elias has the perfect gimmick to make some money on the indies and not have to take many bumps. Be shocked if he doesn't end up on UK shows sooner rather than later. Saying that he's the type of mid card comedy act that can plug in anywhere and can just kayfabe himself as another brother.

Ziggler will be fine. He's an ex champion with recognition. He'll go to Japan to proves he's been held back, flounder and have meh matches then go to AEW. Everyone else goes in the bin.
