  1. I can't find an age, but Katie Puckrik (formerly of The Word and The Sunday Show and currently of Katie Puckrik Smells) must be over 40 by now:

Amazing! she was my first TV crush! When I was about 11 I was literally in love with her, I kept it secret at the time but now I'm pretty pleased with myself that my first crush was someone so cool and unusual. That was back then though, haven't seen or heard anything of her in years.

  2. Slayer are amazing, if I want to hear something that doesn't sound like Slayer I'll listen to another band, I don't mind the fact that all Slayer stuff sounds the same because it's all awesome!

OK guys Joey Belladonna era Anthrax VS John Bush era anthrax, discuss

For me it's all about Joey, I love all the stuff from that era, Spreading the disease is one of my favourite albums ever. His voice is perfect, definitely in my top 5 singers of all time.

John Bush can fuck off, for me it's not Anthrax.

  3. Maiden:

    Powerslave

Yes! also back in the village, Powerslave works so well as a whole album.

Just managed to get myself a replacement copy of Exodus' 'Bonded by Blood' as my old one rand away somewhere! Massively chuffed. Best Thrash album ever?

I love that album, it's a real shame what happened to Paul Baloff and I think the fact that they re-recorded the album a couple of years ago with the new line up is shit, unimaginative and disrespectful.

  4. Dave Grohl - Ozzfest 1998. met him before Sabbath were to come on and asking what he was looking forward to hearing, i was met with a 'fuck off man'. absolute prick.

That surprises me, I ran into Dave Grohl a few weeks ago (he was sitting outside a cafe here in London having a drink with someone) I approached him subtly and respectfully and after giving him a compliment or two we had a nice little chat about metal (he liked my Exodus T-shirt, we both like Celtic Frost) I got a photo with him (which he even got out of his seat to stand up for) and we shook hands and I went away very happy.

He was a great dude, shame your experience wasn't as good as mine.

  5. Does anyone know if there's a reason why C.M Punk always berates the use of alcohol and prescription drugs in his promos but (as far as I know) he's never mentioned recreational drugs (in the WWE anyway).

I'm sure more WWE fans are smoking weed and doing the odd pill or line than abusing prescription drugs, is it taboo mentioning drugs on WWE TV or something?

  6. Brock Lesnar vs Undertaker Hell in a Cell - No Mercy 2002

Randy Orton VS Mick Foley Backlash 2004

Undertaker vs HHH - Wrestlemania 17

Austin vs Rock - Wrestlemania 17

Cactus Jack vs. HHH - Royal Rumble 2000

Eddie Guerrero vs. Brock Lesnar - No Way Out 2004

And loads of Kurt Angle matches I can't remember just now!

  7. Where's festus?

They don't have a clue what to do with him right now, supposedly.

That's a shame, He's a lot younger than he looks though and he's massive & pretty talented so I'm sure he'll be repackaged at some point (do they still do that?)

  8. The lack of Diane Lane (44) in this thread is about to end:

oh god yes, one of very few women over 40 I fancy, she's so hot!

Has anyones mentioned Heather Locklear 48? if not there's something very wrong here because lots of these women just look like old dogs but Diane Lane and Heather Locklear are gorgeous

  9. My friend swears by the original Green Lantern / Sinestro Corps stuff,

Thanks, I'm downloading it now, (I far prefer to read real paper comics but fuck trying to get a load of 5 year old back issues from different titles, plus this is free)

If I enjoy it your reward will be a piping hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate (whichever you prefer) next to your bed when you wake up tomorrow morning.

  10. Plus, the back up feature is The Question, which I also love.

Thanks for the advice with Green Lantern Blackest night, sounds a tad big to get into now plus I hate storylines that involve even minor characters being killed.

Is the Question still a chick? I really like the 80s Vic Sage Question, I'm not sure about this one.

What's the best DC storyline from the last 5 years? I love DC comics but I mainly read back issues from the 80s because that's my favourite period, I'd like to check out something newer for a change (Superhero stuff preferably).

  11. check out Marshal Law by Nemises duo Pat Mills and Kev O'Neil,

YES!!! One of the best comics ever!

Does someone want to give me a brief spoiler free overview of what the Green Lantern Blackest night storyline is? it seems massive and I'd like to get into it but I find getting into a new big storyline a bit daunting as I never know where to start. Also is it any good?

    Cheers

  12. I'm not into older women at all

    BUT

For me this thread can only be about one woman

  Belinda Carlisle - 51

PS I really don't get the Lorraine Kelly love whatsoever

  13. "All Australians look the same."

"If they haven't made a film out of it, then it's not a decent book."

    "She's in the top 20...she's 22."

"I can remember Supergran but I can't remember what it was about."

"Just because he's won every trophy, it doesn't make him a good manager."

"The group is called the 5,6,7,8'S" That's because they couldn't count to four.

While watching the film Pitch Black, he commented, he's neither good nor bad he's pure evil.

"we've always eaten meat, you can tell from the photographs of cave men."

"I'd rather be rich and miserable than poor and happy"

"McFly and the beatles are exactly the same. They are both shit"

"The iPod is not an mp3 player."

"On Honey I Shrunk the Kids, he should have shrunk a large pizza, then everyone could have had a small pizza each".

OMG! I really want to meet this guy (is that wrong?) these are amazing! These are my favourites, the ones in bold are extra good!

Thanks for making me laugh so hard!

  14. Yep that match between Lita & Trish where Lita nearly broke her neck doing a tope was the main event of that night's Raw in December 2004.

I'm fairly sure that was the most recent time a women's single match main evented a WWE show.

Thanks, I'm glad I remembered it right, can't believe it was 5 years ago though.

It was great, good to see something different like that headline a show, wouldn't've worked with different Divas though, those 2 deserved to be in the main event, they were over as fuck.

  15. Is it my imagination or did Raw have a women's title match as the main event in the last 4 or so years?

I seem to remember it happening and being a big match, also it being the main event of Raw was a really cool change of pace and a nice show of respect for the hard working Divas...

    If it happened that is.

Who was in the match and when was it (Lita/Trish maybe?)

  16. Jordan - was in blockbusters and she was in there, short and looking a bit rough, this was before she even met Peter Andre, I was looking at Pitch Black and she stopped and told me it was rubbish, quite shocking, I just looked at her and like smiled not knowing what to say to the fact that Jordan started a conversation with me. she walked off and I rented Pitch Black.

    You should've taken her advice

  17. i called Matt Bellamey (Muse) a cunt becasue he got Andrew W.K. kicked out of the signing tent at Leeds 2002, because he had over-run by 2 minutes

    Good one!

I'll elaborate on my Linda Blair being a dry bitch story for Woyzeck, I go to those conventions sometimes like memorabilia, collectormania, London Expo etc because I collect action figures and comics and I like getting signed pictures of people from horror movies and cult films (not dr who and shit like that though).

Anyway, I'd wanted to meet Linda blair for years but everytime she'd been at one of those things, she only had pictures of herself from the exorcist or recent ones where she looked well old. I'm more of a fan of her 80s work when she was always getting her tits out in magazines and prison b movies so as I knew the show was coming up I bought a nice picture of her showing lots of cleavage from ebay (I especially chose one that wasn't naked incase it offended or embarrassed her but was still racy enough for my pervy needs). anywho, I went to the convention, paid
