So if LA Knight is done with Roman now (or soon) could we see him winning the Rumble and deciding to face a (by then) heel Seth on night 1 of Mania? Leaving Cody to do the Shawn type chase through elim chamber to get his rematch?

Looking from a logical point of view though, if LA Knight won the rumble why wouldn't he want another shot at Roman? Makes no sense to go over to the other brand to face Seth.

Looking at it now, I think Mania shapes up like this...

World Title and IC Title match - Seth vs Gunther (Rumble winner). Have them play up the knackered, fighting champion Rollins has been and have Gunther destroy him in around 5 minutes. I would then have Gunther vacate the IC Title on Raw due to World Champion commitments. Much better for his character to vacate it being undefeated and the longest reigning IC champ ever than losing it to someone like Chad Gable (as much as i like him)

US Title - Logan Paul vs LA Knight

WWE Title - Roman vs Cody. Cody to win the EC Chamber to get the shot, new bloodline member Jacob Fatu to cost Cody so Roman can go on and beat Hogan's record. Cody third time lucky at Mania 41. Keep building that story kid.

God I just fucking hate LA Knight. It's getting to Jack Evans levels with me now.

    Give over.

Sad they are wasting Knight/Reigns in Saudi though.

Should have been the Mania main event.

He looks like he’s really enjoyed it this time, I wonder if he will try to fit more in next year.  Dude can still go and there are a LOT of matchups that would generate interest.

Be nice if they could squeeze Survivor Series out of him, but I imagine he puts Solo over at CJ and then that will be it for a while, possible Mania 40 appearance no idea who against though.

Hes hardly hurting for cash Is he? Would wwe even clear him? He's 64 with a bad neck.

I don't think it really matters on the cash front, I'm sure they always want more if they can get it.

Second point is valid, and probably why it wouldn't happen.

I only said it would be funny if it happened,  not that it will or should.

Who would Sting even work at Mania 40? 'Taker's done. He never shut up about that match. No way does he come in to job to anyone but 'Taker.

MJF leaving would be interesting. Him showing up at The Rumble is so unlikely but imagine that theme hitting? The roof would explode.

    Cold hard cash. Why not?

Hot opening and then, yeah, old man middle hour and then a main event they forgot to build to or trailer in the first hour.  Dynamite in a nutshell - really good stuff and then a lack of joined up thinking and some ice cold acts.  How is Hardys v Elite just such an uninteresting and throwaway mid-card match?  Who is the fella with the Hardys?  Why is Hangman a shadow of his former self in terms of star power?

Something feels really off about this whole Sting retirement, but I'm struggling to put my finger on it.  Sting himself seems... completely uninvested in the whole thing.  Last week he was grumbling at the crowd about their reaction, this week moaning at them about some chant to do with his tag partners.  He seems really pissed off about SOMETHING.

Add to that the placing of these segments right in the middle of the show, it feels like filler and is getting filler reactions.  Very odd.

AEW is also now doing something I hate when WWE do it, which is build a big PPV championship clash between MJF and White, and then have MJF defend that belt against a different opponent, on tv, at short notice thus potentially derailing the PPV.  What happens to your main event if White wins Tony?  I know this is wrestling and we shouldn't expect it to make sense, but... surely MJF v Omega should be a major program, not a throwaway match on Collision where the result is a foregone conclusion (interference, DQ, shmoz).

Thank goodness for Juice - the best hire Sniff has made in ages.  Great look, hilarious, took a proper beat down.

1 - Would be funny if after Revolution he goes and has his real retirement match at Wrestlemania 40.

2 - I think MJF is leaving so they are getting all the big matches done this side of Christmas.

Nakamura is looking for an opponent? An opponent who can set him free?

If they announce a Nakamura open challenge for Survivor Series, the internet will go utterly loopy.

    Tin foil hats, lads.

Guaranteed to be Randy Orton, what a swerve.

  8. Think I would be up for seeing Jay White beat MJF for the belt, I'm a bit of a sucker for a title in a stable.

I'd have a load of interference next week and have Juice beat him for the ring, and I would even have the Gunns take the ROH tag belts off him in the run up too.

Have MJF be a broken man after BC have taken everything from him only for his pal Adam Cole to turn on him too.

Also when is Jack Perry back? I'd like to see him realign with Christian when he does

I’d forgotten that the Tag Champions could, “float,” between brands. That’s actually really clever to use the belts to tease us with Roman vs. Cody and Jimmy vs. Jey, before splitting everyone up and removing their ability to be in each other’s orbit until closer to Wrestlemania season. Fair play.

Until they all face each other at Survivor Series.
