The King of Old School

I hope "The Cut" (stupid name) take out Strong and O'Reilly on Dynamite this week and it leads to Claudio coming back at Full Gear with Sheamus in tow. On Blood and Guts, the lack of reaction for Darby being thrown off the cage was noticeable, everyone will start to feel numb to all his spots now as its expected.

Out of interest would you have ever wanted to see them team up if Bret had stayed with the company? I think the only feud that reminds of this one is the current Swerve/Hangman one, I know they have teamed a couple of times and that quite a lot on here seem to want that to be the eventual end game, but I couldn't think of anything worse. Leave them hating each other and cycle back to it whenever you want.

I mean it won't, and it probably shouldn't, but that Trio's match could headline Full Gear and wouldn't be out of place.

There is no way Sami Zayn beats Roman Reigns unfortunately. I do agree though if they want 946 to be a threat they should cost him the match, and they should beat the Bloodline in war games leading to Keys challenging Reigns at the Rumble. I imagine what happens though will be Roman beats Sami clean, The Bloodline beats 946 clean at Survivor Series, and Royce faces Reigns at the rumble anyway.

Often wonder if its because folk forget about the WWE titles sometimes. Take the Raw tag belts for instance, Breaker and Theory won them on July 6th and haven't defended them on TV since. Also, since Wrestlemania 40, they have been defended on a "PLE" only once, Wrestlemania 41. Soon to be twice at Crown Jewell on Saturday.

It's always worth the risk when millions of pounds are on the line to this company unfortunately.

*Attempted cash in's. Think that's the last 3 weeks in a row that Tiffany has tried and it's looked shite every time.

Why do they make the MITB cash ins so ridiculous and awkward between the wrestler and the referee every single time?!

Does anyone think the stretcher job on Claudio was so that he can come back at Full Gear with Sheamus in tow?

It's just not for me. I liked the way Swerve begrudgingly game Hangman the chain at All In for the win, and the slight look of respect afterwards, but in my opinion that should be it.

Christ I hope the idea of Swerve and Hangman teaming again doesn't happen, it should never have happened the first time and definitely shouldn't now. They should be enemies forever. I'm hoping they haven't mentioned them teaming together the first time means they have swept it under the carpet and pretended it never happened because they have realised it was a stupid idea. Fair enough everyone feels differently on Fletcher, but am surprised that folk think there's a possibility he could win, I'm going to say there isnt a chance in hell he does. Sure he will get a run one day though.

I dunno, they did it with him early on in Hangmans reign last year too. Feed him to the champ for a routine title defence. Agree that he will probably get a run at some point, I think he's really come on since that preshow tag match on the first Wembley show, like a completely different person.

Kyle Fletcher is the "Kane" role now it seems, such a shame as he's miles better than that.

Nick Wayne beating Chris Jericho twice gets him in both brackets, I like the thinking.

I'd even accept Dark or Dark Elevation back. Film it in month blocks at Universal Studios like they did a couple of times previously.

Yep, if they were going to go down this route they really should have held off with the Blood and Guts announcement. Even if they announced Death Riders vs The Cut this week it would feel like even though its a last minute announcement at least it makes sense. Ospreay and pals vs DCF feels quite shoehorned.

That looks like those old episodes of Superstars or Wrestling Challenge where they would put Vince and his co commentator in front of the crowd to make it look like they were there commentating rather than doing voice overs.

Yeah, I hate that AEW have gone down the WWE route of having to have men and women have the exact same match on the same show. It should just just be where the story is without shoehorning another one on, if the men have the wargames match this year, then make an effort to build up a women's one next year.

Might be a daft question but what would the rules be in a trios texas death? Presume a submission would win it like a regular match, but for the count out would all 3 have to not be able to answer the count at the same time or is it just if one of the members is down?

Yeah i agree with the consensus that Dragunov seems a good choice for the winner this year. Also forgive me for this, but I'd quite like Jericho to enter as a bit of a reset should he lose the overall feud to Wayne, maybe have them in separate groups as a bit of challenge to each other to see who does better in this kind of scenario. Still think he's good for a 10 minute TV match and I think the group I have put him in would lead to some good matches. Blue - Moxley, Bandido, Ciampa, Davis, Garcia, Wayne Gold - Dragunov, Claudio, Ricochet, White, Knight, Jericho Semi's - Moxley vs Claudio & Dragunov vs Ciampa Final - Moxley vs Dragunov Winner - Dragunov

Speaking of Chavo I thought his ex "bodygaurd" Bam Neely might have been a good shout for this, but was surprised he was knocking around Smackdown/ECW for around 10 months or so. Thought he was in and gone within a month or two.

Yep I definitely fell into this trap at some point. This one too.

I genuinely thought they advertised Sami/Cody for the belt last night, didn't realise it was advertised as a dark match.

Earl Hebner got the "All Elite" graphic in May 2019, he reffed two matches and then disapeared.

Has Pacman Jones been mentioned? Not sure if he was ever "signed" by TNA, but despite never being touched, or laying a finger on anyone he managed to become a tag champ for a month or so before disappearing again.
