I believe that the off-air promo is the one they're referring to, if it helps.

All about King of Trios for me. Three great shows that summarised everything I love about wrestling that isn't Wrestlemania.
-
Not voting on this because I only went to one BritWres show last year, but fuck me, what a great collection of photos. Grado's in particular. And Mastiff looks like a fucking tank!

Munnery's great, I've seen him supporting Stew twice and he went down very well both times. They had a little thing like this on the red button after one or other series of Comedy Vehicle, but the only one there I know was on that was Sinha (who I remember enjoying, although I can't remember a thing about his stuff). I'm looking forward to this a lot, anyway. I'm not expecting to enjoy all of it, as I find Stew's taste in all types of culture extremely hit-and-miss, but it's a very worthwhile exercise and hopefully it'll do some good.

Had to go with PTP, because I nominated Titus and my other two didn't make it. Titus is the man.
-
Went with Aries' win, although now I've seen Lesnar bloodying Cena only has one vote, I wish I'd gone for that. Aries' win was a lovely moment, though.
-
Had to go with the Rumble. Key moment: getting all excited for the old magic #27... David Otunga comes out. Kharma was the best bit.
-
Went for the Wrestlemania poster. Still bugging me that they've got the lightning colours the wrong way round though.

Heyman narrowly edges out Ricardo for me. He completely turned Punk's flailing title reign around. Ricardo's a brilliant sympathy figure, though, I nearly wept with joy when Del Rio chucked him those car keys and said "Do it with style".

Oh. Could have sworn I'd seen him about recently. Anybody fancy plagiarising his thread from last year and updating it for my benefit, good of the forum etc.?
Â
I *would* do it, because I loved doing the Wrestlemania one, but it really needs to be up before the Rumble and I'm in the middle of an essay that's due in a few days after it. If someone else wants to do it for this year, I can take it over next time if he's still not back.

EDIT: Is next week's a full episode with Punk and Cliff, because all I've seen on Twitter seems to suggest Colt was talking about the intro to this week's ep featuring Cliff and Punk.
Â
You're right, and I can't fucking read.
-
Never mind that, look at his fucking arms! Surely that's not a month in advance. He's gonna be on telly soon.
-
Next week's Art of Wrestling is apparently a roundtable with Cabana, Punk and Cliff Compton, which sounds superb.
Â
EDIT: I can't read tweets properly.

See if you can remember the date, then go to the super-advanced search options, put the date in quotation marks and check "search titles only".

Can we put that in the first post? Or maybe that other one with the "You/LL Cool Mod" gimmick. It gets asked loads.

Getting these in before closing time. Might add descriptions later.

Nah, you're the tax dodgers. If you were the peasants, you'd pay up and we'd still get the votes.

Keep this shit in the hate thread.

Remembering that great Hogan lightning picture that inspired the Poster of the Year award, I thought Ronnie would like what Kofi Kingston found in his trip to the WWE warehouse:

Who was that? Hade Vansen?

I know this was a throwaway point in a post a few pages back in a discussion that we've now moved on from, but can I just say: judging from the reactions he gets for his babyface comebacks (see: the plancha at TLC), I reckon Daniel Bryan Hulking Up would blow the roof the place if the crowd were already fairly hot.

We took my mum to see the Bootleg Beatles for her birthday the other night. Fun night out. It's really more a musical stage show than it is a gig, but musically and visually they're dead-on. They do four mini-sets from different time periods, and it was really cool to see the progression of the band mapped out like that over an evening. Really made me appreciate some of the Sgt Pepper's stuff more, too. I need to get more into the Beatles in a big way. My fianc

It's a 2am start tonight. Still thinking about it.

EDIT: Me and Ronnie are in now, talking about how great Leicestershire is. Main Event's on at 1, Tribute to the Troops is at 2.

Really, really long shot, but is anyone bothering with Tribute to the Troops tonight? I'm sick of missing out on chat.
Best Promo of 2012

Ditto SOC. Just watched it again, Cena getting angry gave me chills. I remember I loved it so much because I used to hate it when he'd end his promos with "but I will KICK... YOUR... ASS!" every single month in 2006, and this was like a call-back to that, as if to say "Just look how far I've come". Cena's the fucking best on the mic when he's on form, and this is that all over. Playing to the crowd with some slick French, then getting all fiery and passionate when Punk finally pisses him off... perfect. Great promo, and the match lived up to it all the way.
